The thread that's Still Going™! This is an AMA thread with a twist – the 'victim' gets to name who is next up in the rotation.
There are some rules:
- Try picking someone who hasn't gone yet
- It has to be someone who actively posts here
- No dead people (i.e. notcharlesmanson isn't eligible)
- Preferably a name that people recognize, 'regular poster' means someone who is a) alive and b) has posted in the last three months
- Complete the FAQ before posting
If you do the hot seat, you can add up to three names to the list of people who are potential victims.
Possible: /u/AlfredPudding, /u/odiedoodah, /u/Apexified, /u/enyawreklaw, /u/folkart2000, /u/shyndo,

FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)
How'd you get your handle?
Ahhh, well I used to work in with punk rock guy who gave me the last-name-nickname "Savage" and I guess it stuck when I created accounts.
How long have you been mixing for?
About 3 years now I think, I remember getting into DIY about 3 months or so into vaping.
Current flavor or profile obsession?
Shit, I think just about every mix I make now has a cream layer in it. I like currently like custard, creams, and of course I keep my RY4 and dirty tobacco rotations.
Most/Least disappointing flavors that was/not as expected?
Too easy. FLV Caramel (pour some sugar on me), FW Butter Pecan, and
Mixing Milestone?
Working on Developed. I love it. I love working with Folkart, and Nachef, they are my best buds and I enjoy all aspects of creativity related to it.
Recipes you admire/love?
Love is a strong word... I would say I mix these two very often.
- Longing from u/ID10-T
- Peachy Keen from u/mlnikon
White whale?
My last white whale was a perfect lemon cream (VT Yoghurt Drink), and a Lime Cream/Creamsicle (Lime Drink). I guess my next White Whale would be a Speculoos Cookie Butter.
How would you describe your mixing style?
Plagiarism at it's highest form of flattery.
Advice for new mixers?
Mix with a group of people, test, mix multiple versions, and learn as much as you can about individual flavors. You will learn a lot very quickly.
My absolute favourite mixer, a really cool guy and also part of my favourite mixing show. Lime drink is a triumph and I must have mixed up over 500ml of it by now, also like me he loves his tobaccos and gatsby is a great vape. You ,folkart an nachef have a great dynamic and you can tell you guys have a real friendship. Any chance of Alfred making a guest appearance in future as I do miss seeing the cogs move in that guys brain. Keep up the good work man. Fingerguns
That is incredibly generous of you, while I am nothing without those loveable idiots. I would love to have Alfred back on, that guy is a fun and witty, unfortunately he has stopped creating e liquid. We have talked about doing another project, non-vaping related ,so let's hope we can get Alfred's brain to work in a different avenue (no not porn related, yet).
Do you know the difference between peppermint and spearmint?
Hardly. I know all my spearmint flavors remind me of the dentist office.
Well, that explains your take on Shamrock Shake. ;)
Follow-up question: What was the last recipe created by someone else that you reviewed?
What is your favorite mod/tank setup?
Any tips for someone who is about to research beginner RTAs?
Favorite mod: Minikin 2 Favorite tank: Gear RTA
I'd go with the Gear RTA, it's easy to build and wick. I prefer RDAs though.
Hola! You are the best showman and one the most creative mixer in the community, but I always wanted to know if Folkart is your real dad and why people call you Beanz.
Can't believe you guys have over 50 episodes of Developed now. Let's say I don't have time to catch up chronologically; What are a few good episodes I should add to the queue?
Haha with our recording schedule I find it hard to remember what we even did last week. Whether we create a perfect representation of the profile, or a complete dumpster fire, we try to make every episode entertaining. Off the top of my head, some of my favorite recipes of ours are the Samoa Sammie's, Perfect Cheesecake, Platinum Blush, and Tart 76.
The Samoa one has me intrigued. I remember attempting that a few years ago and could just never get any separation or layers to the flavors. It all blended together after a few days steeping.
Is there anything I shouldn't add 1% Native to?
Hahahhahahah-No.
Follow-up question: What's the next tobacco recipe I should definitely try?
Well. You've most certainly tried sweet and smokey which would be my side chick. I love most of flv tobacco's, but I really more people would learn to love some HS and INW tobacco's. I love AM4A and have more recipes to release with it. Then I'd say HS Magic Mix, RY1 and RY4.
What kind of setup do you use for flavor tasting regarding RDAs/Mods?
So I'm a new diy mixer and i grabbed some RY4 Double, bourbon and butterscotch. I have the idea to mix them and was wondering how long i should steep it? I know there are different times for different flavors but was wondering if there is a rule of thumb to at least go by instead of just guessing?
For that mix probably only a week. You'll get hang of steep times pretty easily. Just try them periodically. Generally tobacco's and custard can take a month, most creams take a week or two, every flavor is different though so be sure to test then along the way.
What is the most disgusting recipe you've ever vaped?
A recipe we did for Developed that involved FW Beetlejuice that we turned into hairspray and dirt.
How do you go about collaboration on mixes? Do y’all start with a set theme consistently or is it just kind of random?
Is it much more difficult than it seems? I would imagine with differing tastes, at times opinions can strongly differ making it difficult to agree on a finished product.
Love developed and the recipes y’all pop out, thanks for blessing the community -ginko 👊🏼
I would frequent discords, get talking to people, sack up, and just see if they wanted to make something. I was always willing to try whatever flavors people had in mind. You never know what flavor combinations someone has come up with.
Much appreciated.
