Hey, my flavour concentrates I just got don’t have a dropper or nipple tip
submitted over 5 years ago by cookedcroissant23

So how would I go about mixing it, because it’s essentially just a bottle and I can’t really pour it. Are syringes suitable? Would I only be able to use 1 per flavour because the plastic can absorb the flavours?

Edit: okay it’s cool now guys, thanks for your help, I’ve ordered some stuff and I love you

Double edit: still really annoying vapour eyes does this, I had to spend 20 extra dollars just so I could use the god damn concentrates, they should just sell it in the og packaging

Vapoureyes in Australia still does this - it's cheaper for them than refilling to nice/usable dropper bottles I guess. Yes you can use syringes. They are meant to be disposable I think - but they can be washed and reused.

Edit: wow it was Vapoureyes - mate it's the only shop in Aus (possibly the world?) that does this. Next time just get your flavours from FlavourWorld, JuiceFactory, VapeTrain (only VT products), SuperVapeStore or one of the many other flavour resellers. Double Edit: I do love Vapoureyes, but packaging their flavours the way they do is super annoying/impractical. I think it's a throwback to the days when lots of people mixed by volume/drops and used syringes.

Thank you, yeah that sucks cause syringes will add to the cost of diy, maybe I’ll buy some and use it to transfer the concentrates to pet bottles?

Buy syringes if you are going to mix by volume with syringes, and forget the bottles: or, buy "Chubby Gorilla" (or other brand unicorn bottles) if you are going to mix by weight. Unicorn bottles have a needle tip, but you will also need a scale.

Yeah I’ll get a scale off eBay, I know a .01g one I’m going to be measuring by weight, so basically to fix this issue I just get a funnels or a few syringes and a bottle to put the concentrates in, Thank you very much for your help

There are cheaper bottles out there for flavorings. Buying chubby gorillas for flavor concentrates is ridiculous.

It's much quicker to use a little funnel. Try ebay for cheaper bulk syringe packs.

Just to add, I found Chef's Flavours is really good to order from whilst living in Australia, maybe not so much now with the $ crashing but It's only 4 Pound shipping at a flat rate and they have just about every vendor flavour wise. I stopped ordering local - specifically at Vapoureyes for this exact reason.

Just buy a bulk pack of 30ml dropper bottles and fill those with your concentrates. Then you won't have to mess around with syringes all the time. Especially if your mixing by weight.

Order pipettes. 300 are maybe $7.

Best idea is to order a bunch of of dropper bottles which you're going to need anyway and transfer them. I bought a nice number of bottles off of Amazon and they came with 2 little funnels. Best of luck

This is what I usually do. Usually have some unused 10ml’s saved for that purpose.

yeah, get a blunt tip luer lock syringe or two. I usually use just a 1ml and 10 ml to pull various amounts. They can be cleaned and reused very easily, and (to me) it makes mixing more accurate because you have more control over the amounts of flavor you are pulling. I usually just have a small vial of warm water that I flush out the syringes with while mixing and then wash and air dry them when I am finished.

I use eye dropper things, you can buy em from chemists or many shops on the internet. Single use but if you wash them straight after use they dont take on any flavour or smell.

I had this problem with Darkstar so I bought pipettes from a craft shop. Better than syringes imo.

I’m just going to use funnels to transfer them to proper bottles

You can definitely still drip with them, but you have to be really careful. I still have about 2 dozen flavors in glass vials that I mix with, and I don't have any trouble with it.

You might be over by a small amount, but if you're careful it won't be much. You can also buy a large amount of dipper bottles on Amazon for around $20.

id assume you dont have stuff on hand like pipettes or syringes, with the current state of the world it might also be hard for you to get those in a timely manner so you could use some used 10ml bottles (any size ) that were once used for nicotine etc, wash it out very well (you dont want to taint the concentrate) and fill your concentrate into that and you should be good to go

Where did you buy the bottles?

Why don't you just transfer to a pet bottle?

Are you not using a scale? You aren't pouring the bottle regardless to mix.

PET. It's the hard plastic rather than Ldpe which is soft.

Read the FAQ Post please

Oh, thank you, does buying a few syringes and just using them to transfer to those bottles sound like a good idea?
