Hi guys,
I'm a full convert to Nic salts for a year or two now, but I've only just seen that there are different types. Im not sure what I was using up until this point but have been making my own juice with 72mg base salts, and now that bottle is running low I am looking to buy some more but i'd like to know which I should buy from these three types. Which do you guys recommend or use yourselves?

cheers :-)
S, B and M refer to the acids used in making the salt. Nicotine Salicylate salt, Nicotine Benzoate salt and Nicotine Malate salt. I don‘t like salts, they give me headaches. Some people love them, some experience tightness in the chest. Some find they taste weird. It’s really a preference thing and depends on the dosage mg/ml you will be vaping. Besides that, they also come in smooth or hit (throat hit).
I would probably get the smallest size of each and try them out - that‘s the only way to really know if you like it or not.
And if you want more information, I‘d advise you to please search the Internet and read the sidebar. Thank you and Happy St. Patrick‘s Day!
Interesting, honestly I had no idea there were "different salts" so to speak.
A friend of mine always insists on ordering from a cheap (read: bad) company online, and I swear their juice always made me extremely tight chested feeling. But I could never understand why, the nicotine mg/ml wasn't anything I wasn't use to; could it possibly be something dependent on one if these variants?

What some companies sell as "hit" and "smooth" salts are usually going to be benzoate and salicylate respectively. I don't have a ton of info on the nicotine maleate.
I can't link you to it, but if you find Chemnovatic's Nicotine Salts page, there is a comparison chart at the bottom of the page that should give you some more info. Hope that helps!
Interesting comparison of different Nic Salt compounds - I didnt realise there were so many...

And some more types here that I've not heard of...
.....
Nicotine levulinate - Levulinic acid may desensitizes the upper respiratory tract potentially allowing for the vaped nicotine to be inhaled deeper into the lungs. Some literature suggests that levulinic acid also may enhance the binding of nicotine to neurons that ordinarily would be unresponsive to nicotine.
Nicotine pyruvate - Research suggest that pyruvic acid aids nicotine uptake, particularly at lower nicotine doses. In a study on nicotine inhalers, Nicotine pyruvate inhalations produce rapid increases in plasma nicotine concentrations, provide satisfaction and were well tolerated.
Also on the market presented acids such Nicotine salicylate, Nicotine tartrate, Nicotine glucuronide, Nicotine citrate.

As far as I know most vendors offer 3 variations, most of the times they are called Smooth, Hit and Regular or something like that. The name is pretty self explanatory here, you just choose whatever you like the most in your vape, for example if you like to vape high nicotine but don't really enjoy the throat hit go for the smooth one, if you are all about that throat hit and want to vape lower concentrations go for the hit variant and the regular if you enjoy the freebase experience I guess.
Edit: a word
I dont know which one liquidnicotinewholesalers.com uses but I have to find out. That one is perfect for me. No taste up to 50mg. Clear ans zero smell.. completly different that river supply as smooth.. river supply is no way close to as smooth as LNW and even the throat hit is perfect river supply was too harsh and made me sneeze a lot
Personally when I mix my own juice I use a 50/50 split of freebase and nic-s.
I’m still on my first bottle of nic-s though and haven’t tried other salts, that was just what I picked at the time.
Could you explain why you do that? It's it just to give you an extra hit?
Pure freebase is too harsh for me, I prefer a pretty smooth (but not completely smooth) vape.
Pure salt I found so smooth I vaped more. Also the nicotine hit seemed more “fleeting” with pure salt, i was having to vape more often to satisfy my cravings whilst freebase lasted longer.
50/50 split seemed to be a nice half way house for me. I get the slight throat hit from the freebase warning me not to vape too much but it’s not too harsh and a vape session is good for 30mins to an hour compared to the 10-15 mins I found with pure salt.
Note as a long term smoker I’ve never really had much of a nicotine hit out of vaping, even when I tried vaping 36mg salt straight (20mg is the legal max here) as a test out of curiosity. It’s more about stopping the cravings and keeping me away from the cancer sticks.
I'm also from the UK, (if that's where your referring to regarding the 20mg). that's an interesting take. I've not heard of mixing the two before, it's something to consider when my first batch of salts comes.
I wanted to switch to salts as I'm vaping all day and rarely get my fix, higher nicotine is just uncomfortable. I'm sub ohming around 9mg. Hoping with the salts I can up the dose and reduce the hit so I can put the damn thing down more often.
The rate at which vaping is exponentially growing, if you take a year out you need to re learn nearly everything...
