Would you still use this? It's still like halfway full and seems to still be good. Is this okay even tho it expired August 2019?

I know I know it's better to just buy new VG cause it's so cheap, but I literally have no money right now so if this is still considered good to use it could really help me out

"Best by" is not an expiration date. And this goes with food as well. It's either a legal obligation or a tactic to make you think you need to buy more by that time period.

I've honestly never heard of VG going bad, but would love to hear experiences of such. :p

The plastic will expire before the VG.

Smell it, give a little drop a taste maybe. If it smells/tastes normal its fine. If it tastes weird dump it. VG goes bad when its exposed to a lot of sunlight/heat. Best stored cold and dark as you would say. Should be fine tho

Also just look inside it to see if anything is growing.

Yeah, I'd use it. VG literally has no expiration as long as you stored it well

It seems to last forever on the inside of my windshield, even.

For sure. The nic is what really degrades

Brah, I live in a tiny-ass apartment in a humid place and I swear the VG residue on my windows keeps the mold from growing.

Right, it's bacteriostatic and even used as preserving agent.

That's what I'm thinking

I mean it IS Liquid Barn and it's merely a best before date...

Thanks mate

Like already mentioned, I would smell it. If it’s off, it‘ll probably smell fishy. If not, it should be fine. You can also test a small amount by vaping it pure. But if it doesn‘t smell and wasn‘t stored in the sun, it should be fine!

I’d still use it if it were from 1999

I got a 3/1 pg/vg cube like 3 years ago, and it's still good for me, I'm sure it's fine.

Edit: vg/pg, I don't need 3 gallons of pg lol.

The only way VG will ever really "expire" is if the seal isn't very good and it consequently absorbs a lot of water.

This doesn't actually degrade it, but it will make it useless for vape purposes.

Same goes for PG, although it is somewhat less hygroscopic (water absorbing).

PG is a preservative, it's added to foods and other things to keep them from going bad. If it looks good use it.
