Anyone have experience with Essential Depot VG/PG? Having flavor issues

Hey guys I am having flavor issues and I am not sure if it's my VG/PG that can be causing it... Is that possible? I am getting little to no flavor in my recipes and have been using recipes from here and all the flavors. If I try a shake and vape the aroma is there but no flavor and even after steeping for over a week there is still little to no flavor. Especially fruity flavors... The aroma is there but it is almost like vaping flavorless juice.

Any help will be greatly appreciated

I have actually been using that exact brand for the last few months and haven't noticed any difference from the other brands I have tried. Are you using the same recipes that you have previously tried and getting less flavor with them now?

In Korea where I would do it with a buddy we used a different brand and did not have any issues even when we made random mixes

I've been using them for like 4 years without any issue.

Are these recipes you've made with other base ingredients, or is this your first time mixing them?

It's not the VG or PG that's giving you no flavour. Replace the Ethyl Maltol in these recipes with some sweetener. What gear are you using (i.e. your vape hardware)?

I have tried that with a couple too I have Sweetner TPA. As for gear I've tried on a few set ups for Mods, Kennedy Vindicator, wismec rx 2 gen 3 and smok g priv, for atomizers Goon 25, Suicide Mods Nightmare, Recurve, Reload S, Rebirth and for a tank Freemax.

Cut out the Ethyl Maltol - it mutes mixes. Re: Strawberry Mojito recipe - TFA Strawberry is a weak flavouring IMO (and also contains ethyl maltol). Re: Orgasm Clone recipe - CAP Sweet Guava is essentially just a fancy vaguely tropical sweetener - with little actual guava taste. Try different recipes and use different flavour concentrates.

TPA Sweetener also has Ethyl Maltol in it. Try using CAP Super Sweet (Sucralose) if you need sweetener. If a lot of EM is added to a recipe, it’s usually to hide the harshness imho. A well balanced recipe won‘t need it.

So this weekend the LB VG/PG came in and I tried some test batches with them and it made a world diffence...needless to say I will not be using essential depot anymore. I'm it works for some of you guys but it hasn't been for me. Thanks for all the input.

I got the vg/PG Amazon, flavors from bull city, nicotine from nude nicotine

Triton T3 scale

Glass beakers

Plastic squeeze bottles

Magnetic stirer (use on low speed, even tried not using it)

Ugh... I got my very first nicotine from there. First of all they were slow as hell. Secondly, the nic they sent was horrible. It contaminated everything I tried to make with it's robust peppery flavor. Never again..

I get my vg/pg from Amazon and it's absolutely fine but it's not the brand you have. I get my concentrates from chefs and apart from my own occasional bad mixes the flavour is good.

Apparently there are subset of vapers who can't taste most strawberry flavors. Perhaps you're one of them? Just a thought.

Ok that's pretty much what I am getting I did order the same stuff we used in Korea And I did order from liquidbarn too the other night.

So when you switched the flavors were there?

I stopped using of from amazon. Tastes old with a bad throat hit. Throws my flavors off. Switch to nic river and everything was fine.

FWIW I've gone through ~2500 ml of VG from liquid barn (2 1/2x 1000ml bottles), and ~125 ml of PG from nic river in the last 6 months with no issue taste/quality wise (other than my 'off' mixes lol). I agree with skipping Amazon and going with reputable vape sites.

I've used it before with no issues. The no flavor problem is probably due to your recipe or a personal reaction to the flavors. (ie some people can't taste some of the more popular strawberry flavors) have you read other posts relating to no flavor and read through the about section?
