This thread is for you to share what you are vaping lately, be it your own or another mixers recipe. Maybe you happened to stumble upon your new ADV in the March Recipes Thread? Or did someone recommend your first mix to you in the Suggest a recipe for my flavors Thread
Share what you liked or didn't like too much, but most importantly, please make sure to properly link to the recipe and to the mixer if they're on reddit.
If you need some inspiration, some websites keep track of your mixes and batches: e-Liquid Recipes and All The Flavors.
Also make sure to checkout last week's thread for inspiration or to follow up on a mix that turned out even better after a week of steeping! We keep an archive of all the past threads in our wiki as well
Happy Vaping!
Just a simple, suprisingly tasty mix I made yesterday: 3% ooo butter pecan ice cream, 2% vt toffee ice cream, 1% cap sugar cookie.
Since you used it here I was wondering if you could answer something for me- I tried cap sugar cookie and it tastes like soap to me. I tried letting it steep for longer (it’s been like a month now) and I still get a soapy aftertaste. I always mix things on their own first to see how they taste solo before mixing with them, so I was scared to use this one in a recipe. Did you find a weird aftertaste to it or is it just me?
You used it at a really low concentration, so is it better that way? Like as a subtle note? TIA!
PS: this recipe sounds delicious, going by flavour description anyway.
I am very new to mixing but I will try and help best I can. The version I used is cap sugar cookie v2. Apparently v1 is much better but I ordered v2 on accident. I've never gotten a soapy taste though, so depending on which version you are using and at what %'s you have tried, would tell us more.
I've been using both recipes below for a month, they're awesome. A lemon tart clone and a mint chocolate chip ice cream. In 1 month I'm already kind of sick of lemon tart, but ordered more flavors for more ice cream, lol.

I have a similar recipe for ice cream, but I use JF Chocolate Milk and LB Van Ice cream in about half the quantity that your version uses
Oh, not my recipes btw, I began DYI-ing just a couple of months ago, I just found some recipes that I thought I'd like and mixed, lol. These too were the best among what I've found, so I kind of stuck with it. I wouldn't mind to give yours a try if you have it posted somewhere =)

I was messing around with a second mint and even a small amount of menthol.
Recently did single flavor testing, and I think the mint candy is a tastier profile. Going to make a few variants off the 10ml tubes I did up
Have only published some of my recipes on there. Mostly my ADVs
With some help from Alfred & Dave, I think I’ve dialed down my punch recipe. It has quickly turned into an ADV, and I’m very happy with the results.
Waiting for my chefs order to get in so I can try to make a mixed berry fruit snack profile later this week!
I’m definitely going to keep an eye on this recipe as you continue to tweak it! It looks very nice and gives me a few flavors I need to order for my stash
I’m quite pleased with this recipe. I really enjoy the red punch effect that VT Sweet Raspberry gives me, this stuff is delicious! Most of those flavors are all around good flavors, definitely worth adding to your arsenal. Let me know when you get around to mixing it.
This spiced apple cider has been my ADV for a little while now. It was my first “from scratch” recipe. The cider is juicy and tart. The clove gives a little throat hit and lingering mouth feel. The caramel smoothes the clove’s harsher side.

A strawberry short cake that I’ve been working on for a long time. I know it’s supposed to be an easy profile but I wanted to build my own. Strawberries covered in sugar and left in the fridge overnight. Then poured over a thick shortcake with a dollop of cool whip
3% JF Sweet Strawberry
1% FA Strawberry
3% WF angel Cake
2% JF Yellow Cake
1% cap sweet cream
2% Tfa Whipped Cream
I attempted to create a Shortcake recipe once but failed so I gave up. This one looks delicious. I just got some Cap Sweet Cream so I'm gonna give this a try. Does it need about a 2 week steep?
It's delicious. Really nicely done on the shortcake. I just had to add an extra 1% Red Touch after the week's steep. I love JF Strawberry Sweet but I can only taste it for about a day after I mix it up and then the flavor just disappears on me. Im one of those people that has issues with strawberry flavors.
I'm digging my newest recipe which I put on our monthly recipe thread, pretty good stuff. As it steeps it pretty much developes into what I was going for, a fast steeping dark berry and cream profile. Full flavor notes on the recipe thread
CAP Sweet Currant @1.5%
FLV Jammy Berry @0.75%
TFA Blackberry @0.5%
FLV Sweet Coconut @1%
INW Custard @2%
INW Yes, We Cheesecake @2.5%
75/25 SnV ready, 3-4 day steep to let the creams develop. No sweetener needed but feel free to adjust to taste.
Beyond that I have a basic but bold PB&J vape thats ok but could definitely be improved. It starts as a decent vape after 12 hrs, but the grape develops more after a couple days.
TFA DX Peanut Butter @4.5%
TFA Acetyl Pyrazine (5%) @0.25%
CAP Concord Grape (with stevia) @4%
FW Grape @2%
I also have a sugar-ish cookie recipe that I'm still playing around with. This mix is good but its something I want to continue to tweak, or tear down and start again. (Credit to /u/ID10-t for the custard/sugar cookie idea). Building from my last version the addition of the FA apple pie lends a nice bakery note to the cookie and a slight cinnamon touch, while the 2 vanillas mesh nicely and compliment each other. Butter was nixed as it was not helping.
CAP Sugar Cookie @4%
FA Apple Pie @0.5%
TFA French Vanilla Deluxe @1%
INW Shisha Vanilla @1%
INW Custard @ 2.25%
My own mix 70% pink lemonade (capella) 20% kiwi double (tfa) 5% extreme ice (flavor west) 5% smooth (tfa) and approx .25ml super sweet sweetener. Flavoring total is 5.25ml in VG base at 2.5mg nicotine 60ml total. Not sure what I was going for other than experimenting and a slightly "light flavor" It's pleasant, unique, not my usual fruit flavor go to, but it's nice imo.
I'm not sure what you've got? I see (70%+20%+5%+5%) 100% PG based flavors, then you switch to volume with .25ml of (PG based) Super Sweet; plus some nicotine, yet; so you have over 100% PG based products: where is the VG. Please reformat your recipe so we can read it.
Messing around with flavors, just got into DIY. Just came up with 2% blackberry tfa, 3% nectarine TFA, 2% pomegranate tfa
I've been getting into more fruity vapes lately. Right now I'm vaping Black Lotus and it's super delicious!
Holy hell fruity vapes are my whole identity haha. Don’t know how I never found this recipe because I have all the ingredients and it sounds fantastic. Thank you for posting good sir!
No problem. I really like FLV Boysenberry and was looking for something different to do with it when I came across this one. Next one Im going to try is Misty.
Man I made some misty up last night. I had high hopes for it but it just doesn’t taste good. There’s a very specific, floral/plastic-y flavor on the exhale. I was assuming it’s probably the boysenberry but as I’ve never used my boysenberry... or my Shisha strawberry it could be either of those. The most confusing part though is this is the EXACT floral exhale I got when I tried to make a lemonade with CAP’s harvest berry in it. Harvest berry was the cause of that accent. And after that I made a juice using CAP green apple which also gave me the same exact floral note. So I wonder if harvest berry, green apple, and boysenberry have a common ingredient that I’m tasting. Kind of like how some people taste the butyric acid in some juices
Waiting for my boysenberry to try this one..really pumped for it.
The same mixer makes Godsdog, and it is phenomenal. I sometimes add 1% FLV Pink Guava for a little bit of that citrus funk and it's fire. Have mixed 500mls of this stuff over the past two months.
https://alltheflavors.com/recipes/154279#godsdog_by_horsegame
Wow combining cactus and cream cheese icing in the same recipe sounds strange. But ive mixed up plenty of recipes that looked like they would be good and didn't end up turning out too great. So I will give that one a shot. You will not be disappointed with FLV Boysenberry, it is one of my favorite berries.
I'm new to DIY and my 1st post here. Today. I went through the internet and bought a lot of DIY supplies. I never knew about this site. Could have saved some $. I bought 500ml VG 500ml PG and Nic in a 50 50 mix 100mg/ml (mistake)?? About 12 flavors of concentrates. Found a recipe and tried 2 flavors didn't taste them. Tried one flavor Licorice Torpedos and Capella super sweet but it's nasty! Tastes like over sweet vanilla. Not black licorice like I hoped. I love Lemon Twist pink punch so bought the flavors from the suggested clone recipes. Gonna try that today. Money isn't a real issue but lack of experience is. I love fruit flavors and Cloud9 fruit and candy flavors but for every 60ml I find and like there's a bad one I donate to coworkers and it's the 60ml quantity I waste that bugs me. Thinking if I make some myself I can control the size and donate 10ml rather than 60ml 2x a month to the impoverished vapor fund. I know what I like as a profile aknow what I dislike. Maybe I can get some suggestions please? Or a place to get help here? I read the beginning mixers about single flavor testing. Amazing idea!! All the recipes I found online I want to mix has 3 to 5 flavors and it's sort of scary if I'm not measuring right. Thanks in advance.
Get a scale ASAP if you don't have one already. Recipes with lots of flavors is a breaze when you have a scale..
You asked if getting 50/50 nic is a mistake. If it's good it's good. It shouldn't be harsh or peppery. Most of us use 100mg in PG base. 50/50 doesn't sell as much so chances are, you might get old stock. My very first nic order I got 50/50. It was horrible and messed up the flavor in everything I tried. There's lots of reading involved if you want to learn..
Yes I do need a scale I have it on a wish list for when I can buy enough to get free shipping. I found 5 concentrates at one place, 3 at another buying things that aren't strong enough to suck out the thick VG. Wanted to get a sample pack but I don't like baked goods or butter or custards. Just trying from vender made-up juice. I'm sure I may need these flavors in the future for recipes and got what I know or thought I'd like first. I'm reading and trying to navigate reddit also saw a place you folks can check lists of orders before buying? I need this I know. Do you DIYers save up until there is enough to order or buy here and there as I have? Thanks again on the tip and how to adjust the 50/50 issue.
> Do you DIYers save up until there is enough to order or buy here and there as I have?
I'll occasionally order at random. But the big sales for when you want to stock up (In the United States) are around the 4th of July, and Thanksgiving/Black Friday. I've noticed that around those holidays stores generally offer the biggest discounts. Some places will have sales every week, or monthly but not to the extent of the bigger sales.
I'm pretty prepared these days. I could probably go a couple of years without running out of anything I regularly mix. I get VG&PG in bulk durring one of the bigger sales. I'll also try to get my most used flavors at those times. I used to buy flavors monthly but have slowed down on wanting to taste everything out there. After you get a routine and find stuff you like, you can plan ahead and save. Buying in bulk for anything we use is usually much cheaper than smaller sizes.
Fa black touch with cap licorice 2/1.5 a la u/Kittybit88
Thanks for black licorice right? I hope I'm posting to you as I'm trying to figure out dates of posts and how reddit works. No idea what side bar means or if I'm replying to a thread or a person or everyone. Sorry just didn't grow up online.. but I did smoke cigs for 34 years. Argh..that was 5 years ago since vaping. Again thanks and tips for flavors
Yes. Kitty and I we looking to taste some black licorice type vapes. He’s much more familiar than I am with the flavor and I was simply along for the ride. I will link a couple of recipes for you to consider if you’d like to check them out:
And yes this conversation is public. Which is good because someone may stumble across it and be able to use this information hopefully.
Solid advice from /u/St1llFrank OP. I'm DYI-ing for just a couple months and the scale is a life changing experience, lol. I didn't knew about 50/50 nic but you can "get away with it" if you don't mess up your calculations (and honestly any decent online juice calc can adjust for that), except of course if it's old. Nic oxides with time and the taste is really bad when it does. You can always taste test a bit with 0% Nic if you have doubts about the one you have now, but I'd only do it if some well rated online recipe doesn't taste well enough.
Since I started recently, I'll tell you what I found, lol.

Reading and youtube. Lots of both. I watched a ton of videos and read a lot too, but never found a "perfect guide". People have their own ways of mixing and I found my own "style" copying what I saw it as best from other people.
-
Plan ahead for bottles and recipients for mixing. To be fair I bought more than I needed for this, but I got a ton small glass bottles (10ml for testing, 60ml for using/steeping. 20ml with drippers for flavors) You don't NEED that stuff, but it helped me to be faster and more organized. I also bought a few lab bottles (becker), easier to mix. I bought way more stuff, but I won't mention because I think it's irrelevant, haha.
-
You'll see people using scales, syringe and sometimes even pipettes for mixing. I use mostly scales, way easier, but if your flavors don't came in drippable bottles, you can use syringes with different needles for each flavor. (take care for not "tainting" flavors with other flavors, syringe works but I prefer using my own glass bottles because sometimes I've messed up).

Look recipes online with good ratings. At least in the beggining, mixing up you own ideas can lead to frustration and single flavours are usually not as good as the commercial stuff, while a lot of proven recipes are WAY better than commercial e-juice. Leave experimentation for when you're more confortable with the process.
It's just how I see it in my head. I've always gone by volume. No interest in going by weight.
My base is 100% vg then I add the nicotine and then the flavors. Dont know what the final vg/pg ratio is, never bothered to actually figure it out because it works well for me (I strictly use rda so thickness isn't an issue) I screw around with different mixes and whatnot and go from there, I typically don't write it down, just go by memory.
I mean I’ve found that unless you’re at all vg and no pg, or all pg and no vg, then the ratios don’t really affect flavors that much. My pallet must not be refined haha. Also a nice tool for volume mixers would be these 60 ml unicorn bottles on amazon. About 7 dollars for 10 and they have ticks going up for every mil. Super easy to just add a few ml of flavors by just watching the level in the bottle rise.
I tried mixing
CAP 27 bears 4%
TFA strawberry ripe 2%
CAP jelly candy 1%
I was going for a blend of a clear gummy bear, which the 27 bears tastes like, with a blend of strawberry which I wanted to come out as a top note. Then jelly candy for a bit of that gummy feel. Maybe some hibiscus would add to that too. Right off the shake it was a bit dry and muddled. Can’t really taste any strawberry. Not sure what to do next. Maybe throw in a percent of JF sweet strawberry as well?
Been all over some Green Apple Jolly Rancher
Double Apple 5% Double Watermelon 2.5% Juicy Lemon 2% Juicy Peach 2%
All CAP flavors.
No idea where the recipe came from, it's not my own, but man it's spot on for that green apple flavor!
I am trying this as soon as I get some double watermelon. If you like that jolly rancher taste try Watermelon Jelly Rancher on atf by u/chrisdvr1
CAP jelly candy 2%
LA watermelon 5%
FA lemon Sicily .25%
CAP super sweet .75%.
Be warned this tastes good right off the shake but it’s HARSH. Let this thing steep 3-5 days before you vape it. It’ll get even better after a couple weeks though!
I'll give it a try, I'm not a huge fan of CAP super sweet, sometimes that sucralose aftertaste is funky, but I'm only missing the Jelly Candy flavor, and that sounds like something I can mess with, thanks!
Sounds good, I'm going to make that. In my experience, Juicy Peach has a really distinct flavor. I wonder how it is in this one. Thanks for posting.
I've mixed up a simple iced cappuccino recipe for my wife:
10% LB Cappuccino
1% WS-23
So far she's been through three 30ml bottles in two weeks.
https://alltheflavors.com/recipes/25545
But I removed the caramel candy and increased the FA and subbed the french vanilla with vanilla swirl
I'm all for giving credit to the original author when I 'take inspiration' from a recipe (I try to point that out in my flavor notes when using a specific combo) but at this point with all the adjusting you should probably just post your recipe as a 'remix'.
I’ve been trying to come up with something similar to either Onyx’s white chocolate coffee or a version by a local Vancouver company (Van Go) that I really love.
I mixed one up last night (with pre-steeped solo flavours), and I think I’ve come pretty close! I like my flavours pretty strong, so this is a 17% flavour mix, so if you like things more subtle you could probably even cut these in half and still get a great juice. It’s hella simple:
TFA Vanilla Bean Ice Cream- 8% Great Lakes Bavarian Cream-6% Wonder Flavours Brazilian Coffee-3%
Wonder flavours BC is amazing, btw. It’s highly concentrated, and has a deep, nutty flavour to it. It’s super dark, though, so I’m a little worried it’ll be a coil killer. I’ll probably experiment with using less of it, and maybe using some sweetener or another sweet flavour to get it perfect. At this stage though, it’s already pretty damn good.
I definitely welcome any feedback to improve on it. :)
Been working on tuning this across several batches for months. An almost but not quite kick to the throat of minty goodness. Maybe the recipe will change if I pick up some Polar Blast in the future.
Ingredient|% :---|---: Ethyl Maltol|1.00 Peppermint (Mild Winter) (FA)|2.00 Spearmint (Natural) (FW)|2.50 WS-23|1.00
Flavor total: 6.5%
