As always, the purpose of this thread is to gather the community to explore a category of flavor and its many uses. And it's also to have FUN!
Post recipes containing this week's Flavor of the Week, as the star or in a supporting role, with or without development notes. Talk about other people's recipes that use it. Compare and contrast different manufacturers' versions of the FOTW. Ask for help using that flavor in general or to achieve something specific, offer advice, brainstorm ideas, consider substitutions, suggest pairings... really anything at all as long as it's on topic.
#This week, this is also where you can comment to win the Base Flavors Pack ($70 value!) from Flavorah!
This pack includes Flavorah's Bubble Gum, as well as Avocado, Butterscotch, Candy Roll, Cookie Dough, Cotton Candy, Cream, Cupcake Batter, Custard, Marshmallow, Milk & Honey, Pound Cake, Smoothie Base, Starch Base, Sweet Cream, and Vanilla Custard.

Ahh, the day I have been waiting for!
I've got an absolute shit ton of bubblegums, and honestly you'd be amazed at how something so simple and straight forward can be interpreted many different ways, enough to make it so manufacturers definitely have a distinct taste.
The only recipe I have out now with bubblegum is my Bad Drip Lab's Farley Gnarley Sauce Clone, which is Strawberry, Kiwi, & Bubblegum. It still isn't done, but really I think it just needs some small % tweaking to be pretty damn spot on. I'll leave the link regardless because it still tastes really close, and if anyone else wants to throw some %'s out feel free!
P.S Avoid VT Bubble Gum Base at all costs, unless you fancy a mouthful of weird chewy anise mixed with a touch of mint.
TPA Bubblegum and MB American Bubblegum is all I've tried so far ..
TPA Bubblegum is harsh as all hell, so much that I can't really find any flavor there.
MB American Bubblegum is harsh as well, but there is a bit of fruitiness there too. Just not enough that I want to vape anymore of it.
Hoping to get some good recommendations from the Noted crew and the "special guest".
This one is going to be extra special
Honestly, I find that most of the gums I've covered are fairly dry and that comes off as harsh (to me at least). They may not be ideal for SF vaping, and if you just want a bubblegum flavour you'd have a better chance mixing up HiC's bubblegum recipe.
P.S I am very special ;)
>HiC's bubblegum recipe
where do I find that recipe?
No clue why I said HiC, its AlfredPuddings.
It's called 007 Bubblegum, you can find it here
I'm not much of a Bubble Gum/Candy Vaper.
But Bubble Gum and Watermelon is pretty good here is one that works for me.
- 2% (FLV) Bubble Gum

- 1.5% (FLV) Wild Melon
Jbirds - https://alltheflavors.com/recipes/35898#honeymelon_bubble_gum_by_jbird
there is an acceptable pink gum based on HIC's recipie (his idea really)
0.6% TFA Wintergreen
0.8% TFA Cinnamon Spice
2% TFA Vanillin 10%
1.5% CdD Crazy fruid (?)
the balance between wintergreen and cinnamon is very delicate, it may taste like sh*t if not settled (i dont like wintergreen!). in this mix it was about these numbers (0.6 and 0.8%) for me but it maybe different for your gum (my pal had a different sweetspot!). if you go mad on cinnamon (up to 2% or so), you can make cinnamon-gum, in this case id try orange or strawb. generally, you can add sweetener to taste if desired.
that crazy fruid was some sample i got from some vendor, some houseblend... cant recall, but its not important: almost anything fruit should do the trick. keep it red(ish), its pink bubble gum. and so you can make all sorts of variations of it. with your fav fruit, yay!
once i found my personal sweetspot, i made a 100ml batch of WGreen, Cnmon and Vanille only, and added fruits on the go into the dripper, or mixed a 10/20ml btach for the RTA.
not my utmost favourite, but it was fun to read HIC's research about it! says these ingredients were the original recipie for the classic pink gum we all loved in our childhood (or maybe still? but darn sweet it is!!!).
please go and support HIC's site!
ha, you beat me to it! I love this recipe, its always such a shock to me how the wintergreen and cinnamon can play nice and make bubble gum, but it never fails!
I dont think enough people give this a try. using premade bubblegum flavor is just not the same thing.
I still need to get around to trying MB American bubblegum.
I'm looking forward to trying some new flavors this week, especially MB American Bubblegum and WF Bubba Gum.
Sorry for the ping. Did you try these? If so how are they?
WF Bubba Gum - It’s clearly bubblegum but there’s a very slight weird plasticky kinda spicy note there. I might have missed the mark with 4%, seems like a lower amount might eliminate that slight off-note. More of a Topps Baseball Card gum than Big League Chew. Appropriately chalky for that kind of gum, some body, not top heavy, lots of mid-range flavor. Nice and sweet.
MB American Bubble Gum - Nearly perfect bubblegum. A bit of lemony/orangey fruitiness poking out where it shouldn’t as a kind of off-note, but it’s very slight and not unpleasant. Lots of depth, not top heavy, and a sweet, lingering bubblegum flavor. That lingering flavor puts it ahead of the pack as far as not tasting like ABC gum. It doesn’t finish weak like so many of them do. Thick, almost chewy. A little chalky and dry but not as dry as most other bubblegum flavors. The pinkness is reasonably soft and this might work as a base for other deep fruit flavors to have that thick-yet-chalky bubblegum taste if a bold fruit can cover up the pink, but it doesn't seem like a top-heavy fruit would to it.
It’s a fantastic flavor!
I want to throw some INW Grapes & a bit of Cap Sweet Currant at it and see how it turns out.
MB American Bubble Gum is my favorite that I’ve tried. It’s an authentic pink bubblegum flavor.
FLV Bubblegum is decent, but it definitely should be used more to help another bubblegum, I wouldn’t recommend this one by itself.
TFA Bubblegum Fruity... I may get some hate on this one, but I really dislike this flavor. It’s overly sweet and fades very quick. Even if the fading wasn’t an issue, the flavor you do get for a few days is lackluster.
How much of the MB should I try as a single flavor?
> It’s overly sweet and fades very quick.
So... Just like RL bubblegum?
Can anyone explain what they like about bubblegum as a flavour? Is it a nostalgia thing? I’m making a concerted effort to give profiles a go that I’ve not tried before. Even the ones I don’t think I’ll like. Bubblegum would fall under both these categories. If anyone can suggest a good intro to bubblegum type recipe I’d be very grateful.
Another week, another cleaver title for FOTW.
Again i’m looking forward to seeing all the recipes and the show next week. Wish i could contribute, but never worked with a gum flavor before.
I have only tried one bubble gum, that being Flavorah. At 1% it was one of the driest things I could ever vape. I guess it was authentic like the 50 year old piece that came with tops cards, the flavor was there but that dry part killed it for me. Hopefully you guys can recomend one this week on the show that sounds appealing.
Can we have another slushy fotw?
I don't want to say "no" because that's not how FOTW works. It's always been by request and except for extenuating circumstances, first-come, first-serve.
However, I would like to try just once to dissuade you from saying the words "I am officially requesting slushy for FOTW." Simply because there are hardly any flavors for that and to my knowledge there's been no great leap forward in slushy vaping technology since the last time that was FOTW. I'm afraid it would just be rehashing the exact same stuff.
** If I get picked, pay it forward and select another person as I'm fine ** I spent a stupid amount of time with MB American Bubblegum as it was my first one that people said was was worth getting (FLV is supposed to be decent t oo) so never working with that profile so I was excited. Whatever people say or write (ELR) you don't want to push it high. I like it around 3% max because it's very distinct, unless you want that. It could have been me though, because when I work with something non-stop I tend to pick up, more so get distracted, by any off notes or a flavor that is very different than the others. I used to work with LB VIC in my pudding/IC/Creme De Menthe type vapes but that flavor is ruined after hitting it for a month because even at 1% all I taste is straight up butter.
I found it worked well with grapes and watermelon. I'm sure Strawberry and others are good but I stuck with those two.
For grapes you want some bold flavors. I have 2 that I did and still in beta mode, but I can guess with %'s it might be better. I need to revisit these because at the time I didn't have WF Pixie Stick Candy.

Tried and single flavor tested a few bubblegum’s Trying to seek out that perfect Grape bubblegum recipes, had some success but nothing good enough I’d care to share yet. Although it is not a traditional “pink” bubblegum I’ve found Cap bubblegum the best I’ve tested. LA bubblegum is good also but is lacking something can’t put my finger on what. FLV bubblegum is really good but have to use at a low % has a little bit of a spicy note might be able to steep it out but haven’t tried, but does need another bubblegum to back it up. INW bubblegum is meh to me it is pink but is little lite on flavor and chalkiness. Some might not like the chalk but me it is a seller for me in a bubblegum. Haven’t picked up some of the newer bubblegum like MB but I’m sure I will I love bubblegum vapes.
I only have LA Bubblegum at the moment. No idea why I picked that over MB American Bubblegum, since I've been eyeing that one longer, but I did... Anyway, I've been a little scared to work with LA Bubblegum. It just smells very... Pink. I'd love to make a good grape bubblegum. Something like chubby bubble purp, but a bit more grapey and a lot less coil killing. I just have no idea where to start... =\
Yeah this is the only Bubblegum I own as well. I purchased it to try Wayne's Bubble Malone recipe, but forgot to buy the honey dew II. I subbed it with something (who knows what) and it was very forgettable. I don't remember the bubblegum flavor being awful, just not really my thing.
Hey I’ve been taking the short form notes for the Noted shows but I also write up full notes for myself. I find it really useful when I’m mixing to be able to look back and find out what they said about specific flavours so maybe other people might too? I wrote a lot of these notes with the idea that I’d be the only one reading them. Sorry I don’t have time to check them all and change things but I’m pretty sure they should make sense. I’m gonna be copying and pasting them into their respective FOTW threads. I’ll post this message again on this weeks FOTW so people don’t miss it. Cheers
Noted Ep. 140: BUBBLEGUM (ft. Hex)
Ranked by Hex- worst to first.
The original bubblegum contained wintergreen, cinnamon, orange and vanilla. But no one ingredient is distinguishable in the bubblegum.
Most of the flavours in this list would benefit from a bit of marshmallow to fluff up the texture. A lot go over board on the powdery, chalky texture. A bit of chalkiness can add to authenticity but too much causes them to be harsh. Marshmallow would also help round out the harshness.
Bickford Bubblegum: Burnt rubber at every % tested. No bubblegum. Spice note Tested at 1%, 3%, 5% (9.02)
VT Bubblegum Base: Like eating black liquorice and bubblegum at the same time. Strong black liquorice with bubblegum. Wetter and juicier than most, if not all, the other bubblegum flavours in this list. (10.41)
INW Purple Gum: Laundry detergent soap with vague candied fruitiness to those with a sensitivity to soapiness, like ID10-T. To those without sensitivity it's not bubblegum, more of an average grape candy flavour. No chewy, gum texture. ID10-T tested at 2-3%- very soapy. 1%- still very soapy. Hex tested at 1.5%. (12.43)
Tasty Puff Juicy Pink: The bubblegum flavour of a dentist's dental mould thingy. Dentist's bubblegum flavour. Chemical off note. Very dry and chalky. No use for it. Tested at 2% (15.11)
Fairy's Finest Bubblegum: No flavour at 4%, raw VG. At 8% some flavour, like Bazooka Bubblegum. Left a film in the mouth, like cheap bubblegum. To get saturated flavour would have to use very high. No mouthfeel. Pretty thin and dry. Tested at 4% and 8%. (17.20)
DEL Bubblegum: Wintergreen note. A bit of minty cooling. But with an average tasting pink bubblegum. No texture, very flat and thin. No chalkiness. Have to use at higher %. 5% is pretty light in flavour. (19.15)
INW Purple Gum: Where Hex would have placed it. (21.14)
TFA Bubblegum Fruity: More of a stick gum than bubblegum - like Juicy Fruit. Not bad but not bubblegum. More juicy than most gums, has some chalky body. TFA's description says it's banana, pineapple and peach. But it's not. (22.15)
WF Sour Ball Candy comes closer to a fruity gumball than TFA Bubblegum Fruity. Could add a little bubblegum to WF for the texture and a candied fruit to have a specific fruit flavoured gumball?
INW Blue Dwarf: Pretty good blueberry bubblegum. Lighter blueberry that sits behind the gum. Lacks versatility as it can only be blueberry. No bending or hiding it. Pairs well with apple (especially Anton Apple) - the tartness brings out more of the blueberry. (24.56)
TFA Fruity Stick Gum: Not like Juicy Fruit as you'd expect. Like cheap bubblegum. Overwhelmingly dry and chalky, making it seem harsh. Would need rounding off with something (27.05)
TFA Bubblegum: Works well as a cheap bubblegum, like Double Bubble. Pretty harsh at 8%. Some harshness at 4%. Needs something like a marshmallow to round out harshness and fluff up texture. Very powdery, chalky. Tested up to 8%. (28.36)
WF Bubblegum: Controversial placement, others would have placed higher. Flavourful. Like a better Double Bubble. Deeper pink bubblegum, bright, sweet. Very good mouthfeel. Not overwhelmingly dry out chalky like many bubblegums. Not very juicy. Good texture, doesn't need the help of a bit of marshmallow to fluff up texture like many others. ID10-T got slight spiciness, although nobody else did. Not top heavy, has good mid range flavour the a lot of other bubblegum flavours lack. (30.38)
OOO Bubble Bubble Pink Gum: Really good as a cheap bubblegum. Very artificial bubblegum flavour, but not a negative. No chalkiness, full mouthfeel or chewy texture. Would need help with those elements. (33.32)
Nic Vapes Bubblegum: Very accurate Bazooka bubblegum. Nice full mouthfeel, chalky while having some juiciness. Flavour continues through the exhale, which many bubblegum flavours don't. (35.06)
FW Bubblegum: Good Hubba Bubba type flavour. Nice fluffy mouthfeel. Bubblegum flavour didn't continue through the exhale, but had nice, strong, sweet after note. (37.30)
DV Bubblegum: Far lower in rankings, below DEL. Sweet, has a bit of bubblegum flavour. But also had a weird, funky, musky, fruity note. Too deep for a bubblegum. Tested at 5%. (39.10)
FLV Bubblegum: Nice pink, bright bubblegum. A little powdery but not harsh or chalky. Full mouthfeel. A little too much separation between the bright bubblegum top note and the thick, chewy, slightly powdery, mostly flavourless base. The pink bubblegum note might possibly be covered by a bolder, strong candied fruit if you wanted to use this as a base to a fruity bubblegum? Can get harsh above 2.5%. Lacks some flavour below that so would work well paired with another bubblegum. Or as a bubblegum accent in a mix. 1% is a bit too light. Above 2.5% it gets harsh. (40.28)
INW Bubblegum yc: Juicy, pink, bubblegum. Not overly chalky or dry. Not harsh. More base-y, less top heavy than many others. Flavour is a little soft. Not very bold. May pair well with fruits to make a fruit gum? Or the basiness of the pink bubble gum flavour could get in the way if it can't be covered? (46.19)
SC Bubblegum: Really nice, sweet, juicy, bright, pink bubblegum - Bazooka-ish. Flavourful, but could be a bit bolder and brighter. Fluffy, chewy texture. (48.39)
LA Bubblegum: Very bright, very pink, bubblegum flavour. But is thin and lacks chewiness. Which makes it Good for adding bubblegum flavour to things without bubblegum texture, like bubblegum soda. Or for adding bubblegum flavour to other bubblegums that have the texture. (50.13)
CAP Bubblegum: Controversial placement- should be lower in rankings? Middle of the road? Tastes pink, but not very authentic to bubblegum. Has really good dry, thick body with a little chalkiness. But light on flavour, soft- ABC gum (Already Been Chewed!). Not very sweet. As the pink-ness is so light it works well as a base with fruits to make a fruit gum. Tested at 3% and 4%. (52.50)
MB American Bubblegum: Prefect Gumball. Has a good range. Nice top while having the depth that most lack and beyond that has a lingering, sweet, bubblegum flavour. Palate coating, juicy, enough chalkiness to read as bubblegum. Dense mouthfeel. Chewy, fluffy texture. Best bubblegum flavour by far. (58:30)
FW Stick Gum Juicy: Should be ranked around WF, OOO. A pretty good Juicy Fruit. Chewy mouthfeel. (1.02.39)
INW Donald Bubblegum: Would be ranked around TFA Fruity Stick Gum. A bit odd. Oddly has a very deep flavour, almost purple, but not grape. A bit musty. Lacks bright pink bubblegum flavour. A good dense chewiness and a bit of powdery texture. Could be a good building block as the texture is so good. But you'd have to get around the deeper, purple flavour. Tested at 2%, which may be too high? Over flavoured? (1.04.42)
Recipe: 007 Bubblegum by Alfred Pudding. Doesn't use any bubblegum flavours but together they make prefect, authentic pink bubblegum.

That's a lot of effort, I think it deserves to be seen :)
I always thought Big League Chew grape would be kind of awesome and then I found someone already did it! Joshua vapes says: Flv bubble gum 3% Flv grape 3% Cap super sweet 1% I've yet to try it because I have no bubble gum flavor yet but will be ordering soon after this weeks episode. Thanks for doing this guys!
I wouldn't take FLV Bubble Gum to 3%. At 1% it's baseball/hockey card gum; at 2% it's Bazooka. At 3%, it's a bit of a mess, honestly, unless you're mixing for a pod or carto that runs at 6-ish watts or less.
No, thanks to gum from me. I tried a nicorette once, did not care for it at all.
Looking forward to almond week coming up, though! Is that intended to be inclusive of bitter almond, marzipan and amaretto?
I love bubble Malone from Mr. Wayne Walker, he's using LA bubblegum and I really enjoy that flavor, I just add 2% of MB big watermelon and it's even better. I just order inw bubblegum and a bunch of gummy candy , should be here tomorrow, really looking forward to mix with that one.
I'll just leave this here.
using the combo of bilberry, double apple and INW grape to achieve a super grapey goodness without off notes, with some bubblegum base thrown in. let her steep for a few days and you are in for a chew treat :D

Another FOTW where I don't have any. I have never even thought of using bubble gum as a vape. I interested to see what the panel comes up with this week
I don't have any bubblegum concentrates, nor have i ever tried a bubblegum flavored juice, but the consensus around here seems to be that MB American bubblegum would be a good one to try. If i were to try a gum flavor, id probably be most interested in something similar to a fruit stripe profile.
