I was given a recipe and it has no percentages, how can I make them from the information that's given?
submitted over 5 years ago by dieselpb

I was given a recipe from a buddy who was the juice maker at the local shop we would all go to. It was all small batch recipes and he preferred to mix by volume so the picture he sent me is all volume based. What would I do to convert it to percentages to mix by weight?

The recipe is as follows, I'm assuming these numbers are based off a 10ml bottle.

.75 ml TFA Strawberry

.5 ml TFA Cheesecake(Graham Crust)

.6 ml TFA Bavarian Cream

.25 ml TFA French Vanilla

2 drops Vaping Zone Blueberry

Thanks for any input

Edit: I texted my buddy and he confirmed the cheesecake is graham crust

If it's 10ml you can just move the decimal point over.

7.5% 5% etc

Bonus input: That recipe is over flavored. All the percentages are more than double what they're typically used at. And I really hope that's TFA Cheesecake (Graham Crust) or your buddy is cruel, their regular Cheesecake is noxious.

I just edited my comment, in case you missed the bonus. TL;DR don't mix that, better recipes out there.

I'll talk to him about it, but one of our other buddies who is new to mixing made it today to the letter and it tasted exactly like it

The only usable cheesecakes are TFA graham crust and CAP new york, everything else tastes/smells like stinky cheese/feet :D

What would you use? A calculator or your head.

How much is 0.75 of 10, let me make it easier how much is 7.5 of a 100?

Oh and 20 drops are roughly 1ml (and I'm saying roughly because drops are an inaccurate measuring method).

Multiply it to your target volume and use same amounts in grams.

e.g. (assuming you're right about it being a 10 ml recipe)

Target volume is 30 ml

Multiply each ingredient by 3

1 ml is roughly a gram not accounting for specific gravity

Edited to add example

TFA.... Cheesecake... Oh no. I don't think you have the right flavor there.

Have you checked out alltheflavors.com or eliquidrecipes.com? There’s tons of amazing recipes on there. Plus the %s are automatically calculated into grams or ml for you. Personally I’d avoid any recipe with TFA Cheesecake in it! The %s in that recipe are really high as well.

Yeah I've tried a few recipes from ELR, mostly clones of other juices, but this juice is like crack in our friend group, and no one wants to cough up the $40/120ml they charge.

Well fill your boots then. Maybe someone has magically managed to make TFA Cheesecake not taste like socks someone’s been wearing for a month! Are you sure it’s not TFA Cheesecake Graham Crust?

I think he's just gonna go for it! Like crack he said.

I wouldn't want to vape anything that tastes like crack, it's really not a pleasant taste.
