Calling all Grack Heads.
submitted over 5 years ago by xx2000xx

This has been my ADV for probably 2? years now. People here on a niche (or was until a few months ago) sub we tend to tinker and experiment. Grack Juice is probably the NA Version of Vampire Vape Heisenberg, and with it being one if not the most infamous mix in the history of DIY I know a lot of you have played around with this and altered it to your taastes.

This is pretty much a love or hate mix down the middle. So for the people in the love camp how have you altered it and it found a better by tweaking the %'s or using different/new flavors that came out since that you enjoy it more than the original or just stuck with the 1:1? More so in the spirit of the recipe instead of a 180 in GIGI.

In here I think he said after WS-23 blew up sub that for the 1% koolada but didn't change it on both ELR/ATF I think and people still comment how they hate koolada but only love it in this, go figure.

I haven't gone too nuts but the main thing that took me forever to nail down was that FA Meringe at 1% was too high and cut it to .40%. Probably because I don't do desserts due to it getting heavy or too sweet to where I get sick of it real quick and don't go back instead of a true ADV like this.

This is my currant version.

  • Grape 4.10%

  • Cactus 2.20% - better for calculators. I hate .75% mixes.

  • Dragonfruit 1%

  • Meringe .4%

  • Malina .5%

  • CAP Sweet Strawberry 1.2%

  • WS-23 .8%

  • Polar Blast .3% --- I find it aggressive maybe from the koolada/makeup products but more likely built up a tolerance faster with WS-23 because I throw that in everything.

  • JF Sweet Strawberry .6% --- That helps it because not only is a better flavor and pretty similar to CAPs but doesn't fade fast like it either which is nice when making 100-200ml batches.

60PG/40VG - 1.2% Chemnovatic free base nicotine. Chain Vaping like a mofo Squonking with a Top Fill and a Wasp Nano around 40 watts using a quad core or similar SS Klapton from advancedvaporsupply.com

GIGI was totally based on grack - philosaphucker stated why he used various flavors, and I used better tasting options to fill those roles. Ok, FLV Boysenberry in place of Malina was accidental. And using a actual berry in place of a floral 'berry' probably cheats somehow, but you can't argue with success...

MOAR CACTUS!

Kidding aside, lowering the meringue, swapping the CAP sweet strawberry, and playing with other coolants would be at the top of my list if I cared to play with it. Ideally, I would cut it with some sexier flavors (like /u/juthinc).

Sounds good id drop the sweet strawberry to 0.75 to stop it overpowering the Cactus and grape.

https://alltheflavors.com/recipes/27216 without the cooling. I like grack but I like this better. Plus I love how it was kind of created by accident

I can never get tired of this vape

I usually bump the koolada up a notch, bit leave the rest. And I can only vape it fresh. After it’s steeped for two days I can’t vaoe it anymore.

Grack juice was my first "successful" DIY mix. That is, one that I actually enjoyed nearly as much as the better bought juices.

I don't taste strawberry very well, so I tend to try something else instead of strawberry when it is a minor flavour in a recipe.

The grack mod I am vaping at the moment has 1.5% TPA Honeysuckle instead of the two strawberry flavours and it ain't half bad either.

Yeah. It looks like I would like it. Missing a lot of flavours ATM though. Maybe later.

I placed an extra order just to fill in the many missing ingredients to make GIGI. It was worth it. Grack is... weird. GIGI is weirdly delicious.

OK. Got the missing flavours and I am giving it a whirl right now. Pretty damn good. Even works OK in a Caliburn, which I was *not* expecting.

I can still remember first tasting Grack and thought maybe I'd done something wrong. I was like WTF is this!? I was expecting some kind of grape dominance, but what I tasted was something I couldn't have imagined. I'll admit, I wasn't crazy about it. The more I vaped it though, the more I liked and appreciated it. I've been making it for over two years. That's crazy if you knew my track record. I get sick of things in days, weeks and if I'm lucky, months. I get tired of tasting recipes I make so I'm always trying different things. It's been nice to have Grack Juice to fall back on when I'm in a rut.

I got WS23 specifically to try in Grack Juice. I didn't like it as much in this particular recipe. Something felt missing IMO. I went back to Koolada and it's been great since.

I don't change much from how it's posed at ATF. I round the INW Cactus off to 2% but that's it. .75% Koolada is how I like it. I do like the idea of making adjustments. I don't know why I haven't. I did try the substitutions /u/Philosaphucker mentioned in the ELR comments of the recipe page. That was good too. It included TFA Blackberry and some currant I believe, for grape and raspberry? I dunno, it was nice though.
