Nic salt/pod juice recipes
submitted over 5 years ago by Iminkd4life

So ive been making my own juice for a while. Recently i decided to start experimenting with nic salts and pod juices. Not 100% on what percentages to use. Any advice or recipes would be appreciated.

The same ones you are currently using, to start off. Don't use complicated profiles with nuanced flavors though

Percent stays the same, just adjust the nic level. Start with between double and triple what you use for regular DL mods.

The best recipes for pods generally only have 3 or less flavour profiles - sometimes you can get away with 4 ingredients (other than sweetener ) if two of them are the same profile, like two strawberries to get the flavor of strawberry you want. But - generally speaking, simple is better. Those 5 to 7 ingredient recipes are going to taste like a muddled mess, whereas those 3 ingredient ones can shine like you wouldn't believe.

If you like blueberry, i have a fantastic mtl recipe (not original to me) which packs a hell of a lot of flavour - just a couple of ingredients.

Thats awesome. Seems like all ive been finding are a bunch of diy nay sayers in my searches. I would love to try your recipe. I make a naked really berry clone myself. I really appreciate the info.

Well that was so nice, i'll give you two :) same author. Hippy vapes - it pays to watch the video as well. He did not make it for MTL, but i vape it in my dl set up and one day i thought i'd experiment with the mtl - WOW.

https://e-liquid-recipes.com/recipe/2912723/My%20Blue%20Falcon

Blueberry (Hangsen) 3.00%

Pineapple (INAWERA) 2.00%

Super Sweet (CAP) 0.50%

It's a pretty darn good DL too. Vaping some right now.

THis one is also from hippy, and same thing - meant for DL but tried it in MTL and it is very tasty. A winner if you like grape soda.

https://e-liquid-recipes.com/recipe/1901440/Grape%20Ape%20v%202

Champagne (TPA) 1.75

Cotton Candy (10% EM/Ethyl Maltol) (TPA) 0.75

Grape Juice (TPA) 4.50

Grape, White (FA) 0.75

Pear 1.25

Now i know what you'll say - that's WAY more than 3 ingredients. True - but the two grapes count as one, the pear is more like a sweetener and pairs with the EM, so that's one and the champaign just adds fizzy, isn't really a flavour. Its pretty good in an MTL, definitely worth a mix.

and for salt, like i said salt nic affects people a little different than regular so it's hard to be precise - but generally for most people i find somewhere around 3 times your usual regular nic level is a good place to start.

So just simply adjust to 50/50 on the vg/pg and continue as normal?

Ive only made the clone recipe I mentioned. I basically bought a bottle of pod juice and followed the vg/PG ratio on the bottle. Made it 30 nic. Try that flavor recipe. Everybody that tried it liked it.

Can you specify what kind of “pods” your mixing for. I’ve found that just upping your flavor percentages doesn’t work for all of them because open-pod systems have developed far past the Juul style these days. Hell, some of them that I’ve tested have delivered the same amount of flavor and vapor you’d expect from tank setup’s. I digress.

If your mixing for a tight-tight draw MTL like a Juul style device. Consider doing a 50vg/50pg mix as your going to need a more viscous liquid to saturate the atomizer/cotton/ceramic/quartz and if your recipe is normally @ 10% flavor total increase to 15-18% total flavor.

If your mixing for a medium-tight draw MTL like a snow-wolf Wocket/ Orion style device. Consider a 55vg/45pg. With a normal recipe @10% flavor total increase to 13-16% total flavor.

(By now you can see where this is headed)

If your mixing for a regular draw like Smok RPM 40 / Vinci-R with mesh coils. Consider a 60vg/40pg (honestly a 70vg/30pg mix will work as well, if you’re particularly fond of your clouds I’m not here to judge). With these setups try them out with your normal mix first. They behave more like mesh tanks on the market anyway.

To echo the other comments and say simple recipes yes! To be more specific simple profiles are the way to go. Which reminds me! The “trinities” would be a great place to start.

Blessed Trinities

Trinity mashup

And one last piece of advice that’s going to sound obvious but maybe not to all looking for the same help. Mix small batches @ 10ml till you find something that works for you. Also don’t be afraid to fail is something I’m constantly telling myself when I’m heading into the unknown.

Wow. Im definitely gonna try those out. I have most of those flavors already. I really appreciate the advice. I usually just wing it when it comes to flavor combos. If you like berries try my naked really berry clone. 70/30 vg/pg ratio 10% flavor ratio 7% harvest berries (capella) 1% raspberries (been experimenting) 2% lemon Sicily I call it B's Berries

I’ve taken on the challenge of adapting a lot of the 1-2-3 recipes into pod percentages and I’ve had some success.

Here are a few

I've been mixing juice for DL setups for years now, and I'm still struggling to make a mtl salt recipe for my pod systems that is as good as I have tried from shops. My flavours always seem slightly muted, and not as full on as ones I've bought. Do have a tendency to overcomplicate my mixes with accents and concentrates to enhance the end product, but even when I leave those out the juice I've made has been missing something.

I am trying to make juice for my new geek vape aegis boost. I just got it a week ago so im still figuring out exactly what juice is best. I do have the single coil "rba base" on the way also.
