Anyone tried Inawera Tea flavors?
submitted over 5 years ago by MysteriousAlchemist

I know there is one review on the Green Spring tea but other than that I haven't seen anyone talk about these, are they any good?

...or Tea flavours in general but since I'm in the EU It would be nice to order straight from Inawera.

I can't speak for Inawera but from what I remember Flavorah black tea is a pretty authentic black tea flavor.

Honestly, I don't know a single tea flavour that actualy tastes like real, freshly made tea. It all tastes like instant tea for me.

The tea extracts from Stixx Mixx are decent and absolutely authentic. Well, no surprise, since it's extracted by maceration like NET tobaccos. He ships to the EU and prices are really fair, by weight, like $14 I think for a handful of 15ml bottles for example.

FA Black Tea isn’t bad. Needs a few days steep though. No experience with any INW Teas.

FA Black Tea tastes like sweet tea. It's fun as part of a mixture but it lacks the mild astringency and the depth of maltiness of a good, neat black tea. (This is not a critique of FA -- just pointing out which tea palate it satisfies.)

I'm going to have to disagree with you there.

FA's black tea is fairly astringent, strongly reminiscent of a cup of black tea that was steeped just a little too long or too hot.

TFA sweet tea, or SC black tea on the other hand are absolutely sweet tea.

Oh, interesting -- did I mix at too low a percentage? What percentage do you mix it? Maybe I got a weird batch?

You should try VT Black Tea then. It got a bad rep and I have no recipe for you, but I did SFT it and it has a more authentic steeped tea bitterness to it, maybe combine it with FA to add that missing depth.

Molinberry green tea is quite authentic and nice imo

The Noted episode on teas is definitely worth a view if you haven't seen it yet.

I have several flavors coming in this week. One of those is VT Black Tea. I'll report back with some impressions.

Can't speak about INW but I tried River Supply Co. Sweet Tea and OSDIY Sweet Southern Tea. Both are really good iced tea flavors and considerably light flavors. I also tried FA's Black and Green Tea which to me are both earthy and authentic strong flavors.

OSDIY's Arnold palmer is phenomenal. The sweet candyish lemon sits a bit forward but the tea note is more than just a background note. Sweet southern tea is good but is a little weak under 4-5% for a single flavor, the Arnold palmer is about the same. It shines from 4.5%- 6%, both especially with a dash of sucralose. Fa teas take a week or so to calm down black tea + green tea at like a 2:1 works well if you add a fruit like lemon, strawberry, blueberry, mango, or raspberry. Haven't tried INW's tea yet, keep forgetting to order it

I too am interested in this question. May e for different reasons but interested still. I am looking for a good Arnold Palmer recipie and that ( I assume) begin with a good tea base.

inawera chai tea is ASS, I was trying it out once and a little spilled on my finger and the smell didn’t come off for like 3 days. The smell was nasty.

I think I have INW Black Tea. I don't recall anything about it tho... I'll have to mix up a batch sometime soon and see if it was just forgettable or if my mind is protecting me from the memory...

This probably won't help you because I've never vaped a tea but FLV Eisai Tea is on my buy list because I want to mix GTKK 2019

My first recipe uses FLV Eisai Tea, as well. Check out Shinto.

FLV Eisai works as part of a mixture but on its own it tastes very artificial.

Yeah, it's probably the best tea I've seen as a recommended flavor for green or macha. The reason it's not in my stash is the whole artificial aspect about it that you mention. Thank-you, friend

I would use FLV Eisai Tea and Green Tea together at a 3:1 ratio with what ever percentage you go with, good pairing

I use FLV Green Tea in this and it works.

I’ve got the INW Black Tea @ 2%. It’s rather sweet and has quite the throat hit for the first couple of days. I’d say it’s Ceylon-ish black tea.

Can’t say I love it, can’t say I hate it. It’s unfortunately a bit sweet.
