Flavor of the Week has gone BANANAS!
submitted over 5 years ago by ID10-TWinner: Best Recipe of 2019 - Counter Punch

As always, the purpose of this thread is to gather the community to explore a category of flavor and its many uses. And it's also to have FUN!

Post recipes containing this week's Flavor of the Week, as the star or in a supporting role, with or without development notes. Talk about other people's recipes that use it. Compare and contrast different manufacturers' versions of the FOTW. Ask for help using that flavor in general or to achieve something specific, offer advice, brainstorm ideas, consider substitutions, suggest pairings... really anything at all as long as it's on topic.

#This week, this is also where you can comment to win the Fruit Flavors Pack ($70 value!) from Flavorah!

This pack includes Flavorah's Banana, as well as Acai, Apricot, Cool Menthol, Fig, Grape, Kiwi, Nectarine, Peach, Peach Gummy, Persimmon, Pink Fruit, Rhubarb, Spearmint, Sweet Fig, and Tangerine flavors.

And, check this out, FOTW now features a neat new poll where you can vote for your flavorite:

#DIY SURVEY - VOTE HERE PLEASE

##DIY SURVEY - SEE LAST WEEK'S RESULTS HERE

#This week's flavor is.... BANANA!

How did that get to be the FOTW?

It was requested!

>If you're not interested in the upcoming FOTWs, please take this opportunity and comment to request one that interests you (or send me a PM to do that).

  • Past FOTW posts can be found here

  • The NOTED podcasts, which are basically video FOTWs, are listed on this sheet, maintained by /u/apexified

  • You can find these and more in a comprehensive collection of Flavor Facts created by /u/OdieDoodah

I may be biased, but I really enjoy my 1-2-3 Banana Custard recipe.

My favorite banana recipe, so far, by somebody else is this Butterscotch Banana Ice Cream by the developed crew.

If you’re in the mood for a very sweet banana RY4, then Smokin Banana isn’t bad either.

I love that 1-2-3 Banana Custard!

All three of those recipes look like evidence that recipes don't need a bunch of ingredients to be great. I haven't tried that Developed recipe but butterscotch and banana is a terrific pairing.

Thanks! I’m glad you enjoyed it.

I highly recommend the ice cream recipe. It’s one of my favorite ice cream vapes.

I don't get much flavor from the banana custard, but that's probably just me. I love Smokin Banana, but the banana flavor comes and goes. Maybe I'm a banana non-taster, is that a thing? I know it is for Strawberries.

CC Banana Yoghurt and FM Banana are my two favorite banana flavors.
They're both very different from the other popular brands.

CC Banana Yoghurt is a banana cream type flavor that doesn't have this artificial brightness of say, TPA Banana Cream - It's mellow and round, and easily pairs with other flavorings without being too overpowering - Some lil kitty cat made a mighty fine recipe using it: Strawnana Smoothie

FM Banana is more on the candy side. It's very bright and almost syrupy imo - I have yet to use it in a recipe that I am satisfied with, but not because this flavoring is lacking in any way. More-so my own lack of mixing capabilities. One of the few good FM flavors available in the US.

I’ve only tried one banana flavor so far, INW Banana.

Pretty potent stuff, tastes like a ripe banana. Almost overly ripe, like a yellow banana with some brown spots all over it, mushed in a bowl. Very sweet, does not need any sweetner. And i’m a sweet vape kind of guy who adds .5/1% SS to everything.

Tested it stand-alone at 4%, way too strong. I think my bottle will taste like banana for the rest of the century. Dail down to 2/2.5/3% would be better.

Did not mix a recipe with it yet, as i am waiting for other fruit flavors to arrive. Will be making some yogurt blueberry banana smooties soon to extend my daily breakfast :-)

Should be simple enough to select several options if they're rated. Each first place vote gets 16pts, 8pts for second, 4 goes to each third, only 2pts if picked fourth and anything ranked fifth gets a token point. Yeah, largely unknown flavors that are considered the best by the few who have it would do better than some middling flavor that almost everyone finds kinda serviceable...but that seems like a good feature.

My favorite banana recipe for now is 123 ChocNana by u/staybert.

I will try if I can make a decent cherry banana smoothie later this week.

Right now I have three banana flavors in my stash: TFA Banana Cream, VTA Banana Custard and WF Banana Puree.

My favorite of those the after a quick sft is the Banana Puree. But the test was biased because I already had a banana cherry smoothie in mind.

2 points

by oFAILIXoover 5 years ago

Actually I got to work with what I have. Right now that is INW Cherries, WF Black Cherry Jelly Bean and FLV Cherry Filling.

Luckily the INW Cherries @ 1.7% and WF Black Cherry Jelly Bean @ 0.8% worked pretty well together. INW provided a nice and rather bright top note Cherry and WF a pretty bold body that INW was lacking.

They worked quite well together as I subbed the FLV Cranberry in your 123 Cranberry Sprite recipe with them at those percentages.

I will see how it works out as a smoothie kind of recipe.

https://alltheflavors.com/recipes/11792 Strawberry Banana Cream Pie V2 - Found this a few weeks ago, not at all bad. The banana isn't too "runty" or overplayed, the graham cracker crust almost has a crunchy cereal flavor during the steep by after a few weeks come out nicely. Not my favorite banana, but figured it'd be one to share.

1 points

by DavidHoggsBikeover 5 years agoDelightfully Mediocre

You think it would be good to sub TPA Strawberry with CAP Sweet Strawberry ?

Thats the only ingredient i have that could replace it

2 points

by Jebediah86over 5 years ago

I don't see why not, just may need to adjust the ratio. Enter each on ATF and use the average to calculate the actual use and then remeasure. For example: ATF lists Cap sweet strawberry avg % as 10 but the recipe calls for 7 (for example) so and then TPA sweet strawberry is listed as an average of 5% then we would half the ratio from the recipe. In this case TPA Strawberry is commonly used at a ratio of 3.4% and Cap Sweet Strawberry 3.5%, so no changes needed. Yup you got a possible substitute. It'll change the profile a bit and the mouth feel might be a little "lip smackier" but that should work nicely.

Lovage. Anise. Ginger. I'd have to find a good list of every floral/spice flavor to know if there are others like tapioca and whatnot.

Anyone else think that PUR banana is the best banana and have any advice for what I'd need to use it over the others for?

3 points

by vergaerdover 5 years ago

That survey is a great additions to these posts!

I disliked TPA Banana Cream as its too buttery for me. Eventually started to look at other banana's a while back. TPA Banana Nut Bread has a great banana component, but is hard to work with if you don't want the bread or nutty components. CAP Banana is a candy type, but also has a bread-like off note to it. FLV Banana is like the better version of CAP's as it doesn't produce the weird off notes.

VTA Banana Custard has been a favorite for a few months now and I been developing a banana coconut custard recipe since I got this. I'm very close to where I want it to be. Next up for me are WF Banana Puree and LB Banana Cream. So until I get those to play with, this is what I've been enjoying for the past months: Cabana Dream

It's not mine and can't remember where I picked it up, but I make it quite often.

by -DixxleRoo-over 5 years ago

I don’t cos I absolutely hate banana!

I guess I kinda get that there’s some similarities between avocado and banana- both creamy, mushy etc. Avocados don’t really have a very distinctive flavour either. I did wonder how it would translate into vaping.

I’m still looking for a good avocado. Do you know of any others worth trying? FE is caramel and I’ve heard mixed things about FLV.

by mkweiseover 5 years agoMissing One Flavor

FLV Avocado by itself has a beautiful body, but not much flavor. In a blind tasting, you'd never guess "avocado"--but it's easy to see the resemblance if you know what you're looking for.

Adding a pinch of salt and a touch of earthy tobacco helped ripen up the avocado flavor for me.

1 points

by ID10-Tover 5 years agoWinner: Best Recipe of 2019 - Counter Punch

Yes. I get zero avocado out of it. But, I only tried it at 2% once, might need to increase concentration and give it another go. What I did get was a very heavy, rich cream with a hint of banana. I don’t know why it’s called avocado cream but it tastes like it could make a very nice base or base enhancer for a banana pudding recipe.

2 points

Hey Dix!

Cream is an extremely broad category. Can you help me narrow it down? Is there a specific type of cream you're interested in or some specific flavors you're curious about that we could mash together into some kind of category?

2 points

by -DixxleRoo-over 5 years ago

I find Creams a bit tricky for that very reason- it’s such a broad profile and there’s so many of them. When I’m making a recipe I often find myself staring blankly into my box of cream flavours. I’ll have to have a think about how to be more specific.

PS. I’m a bit over halfway through the notes for the Cherries episode. I’ll try to finish it tonight, if not it’ll be tomorrow.

2 points

Heavy creams? Vanilla-free creams? Sweet creams? Savory creams? Puke creams (all V2/DX stuff)? Flavored creams (chocolate cream, banana cream, mint cream, cheese creams -not cream cheese, more like HS Italian... etc)? Bland/boring/uninspired (aka vanilla) creams?

How narrow a focus do you want?

Haven’t gotten my hands on the VT banana yet. Out of stock last time I ordered but looking forward to it. The bananas that I have tried are very runt tasting. Wanted a banana ry4 and played around with it a lot and came up with this.

Bavarian cream TPA 2%

Ripe banana TPA 2%

Ry4 double TPA 8%

Toasted Marshmallow TPA 2%

Between the Bavarian and the Marshmallow it covers the candy taste of the tpa. It gives a very good medium desert tobacco. Everything pulls together nicely. Doesn’t need a long steep about a week but has been my favorite ry4 I’ve had.

I think I probably have at least one of every fruit flavoring there is... Except for banana. 0 bananas. I don't care for bananas in real life, unless it's in a smoothie with some strawberries. I kinda wonder if I should pick some up, though. Are there any fruit profiles that really benefit from a little banana? A strawberry banana smoothie vape would be obvious here, but I'm about 98% sure I'm a strawberry non-taster :(

You could do a tropical smoothie with some combination of banana and pineapple, coconut, guanabana, mango, guava, passionfruit, etc.

I would like to try or try to create a Banana’s Foster or some sort of cooked banana dessert.

TPA bananas foster might be a good start. It has a nice caramelised sugar note. I don't know what a real bananas foster tastes like though so it might not be 100% accurate..

Even if it isn’t exactly accurate, I’m sure it could work as a starting point. I can always add ingredients around it. Thank you very much for the suggestion!

No probs. It's a good flavour (imo) with no off notes that I could find. :)

Hey all, only been DIYing for a couple months. I've only tried two bananas. Banana cream clear by LA and banana by caps, both reminded me of my childhood banana flavored penicillin medicine we used to get for strep throat or something similar. I look forward to reading and hearing more about all the flavors to find a more authentic flavor more easily mixed in fruit type recipes.

I think that WF Banana puree is the best all around banana flavor.

I'm suprised that MB Soft banana and INW Shisha banana aren't getting any love. Both are solid flavors imo

Pur banana taste like a real banana, I use it in a banana ice cream, and a banana split thing. Tfa banana cream I use Alot of it, my favorite is butterscotch banana ice cream. Tfa banana bread I also use it Alot, currently working on a banana bread pudding.

Looks like I'll have to add VT banana custard to the next order.

What do bananas taste like to you? Something that's just not banana or nothing at all?

I have no problem with tasting or smelling them. I can even smell the flavors, but there is little to no taste. I have tried various vendors and flavor variants.

The only banana I've tried is Banana Milk. It was really damn good, and I honestly don't even like bananas. I really need to get more into vaping them, see if they make my stomach upset like it does eating them.

I'm not a huge fan of banana "flavored" things in general because they usually end up tasting artificial and I hate banana runts. Now that Ive heard of some banana flavors that actually taste real it makes me want to try some of them. Every time I read these posts my shopping list grows!

Has anyone had a chance to try Molinberry Green Banana And Bamboo Milk? I have had this strange obsession with it since I first saw it. it's evidently a one shot. I really have no idea what bamboo milk tastes like and if I remember right, green banana has some strange texture that sticks to your teeth with almost no flavor. It just sounds so weird to me.

I have a sample of it mixed up to try this weekend. Out of the bottle it smells kinda like what it sounds, underripe banana. I didn't even know what bamboo milk was a thing that existed, but it smells vaguely coconutty.

I had no idea Bamboo Milk was a thing either. Google doesn't even know about it being a drink. When I googled it, it came up with tons of shampoo. Now that I think about it, Green Banana Bamboo Milk sounds like something i would buy my girlfriend at Bath And Body works.

If you're buying your girlfriend stuff at Bath & Body, get something that uses the "Almond Blossom" scent. Holy shit it smells so good it gives me a semi!

I haven't seen anyone mention OOO Banana Nut Pudding. I picked this up along with a few of the more common banana flavors, trying to find a flavor note similar to that in Country Clouds Banana Bread Puddin'. This, was definitely not it. I tried it at both 3 & 5%. Both testers, even after a few weeks were light on the nut, which isn't really a negative to me. Unfortunately, it was also light on the banana, which was almost non existent. What I did get, was a strong, perfumey/floral note that , while not unpleasant, did not belong in a banana bread.

Banana frozen yogurt with meringue

WF banana puree .75% WF frozen yogurt 2.25% WF flapper pie 1.25% MB soft banana 3% CAP super sweet .5%

This is the 2nd version of my recipe, not a very complex mix but so far it's tasty. The combinaison of MB soft banana and WF banana puree is very good i think, flapper pie with frozen yogurt works great for me but i'm gonna play with the % a little bit more because the frozen yogurt is not quite there I think....I vape it right now and I really enjoy it!

So I tried to mix the Cherry-Banana Smoothie idea I had.

I used INW Cherries and WF Black Cherry Jelly Bean for the Cherry note, WF Banana Puree for the Banana and FLV Smoothie Base for the, guess what, Smoothie Base. I also added 1% CAP Sweet Guava for to blend it a bit together.

Here is a link to the recipe: Ché GuaNanana Smoothie

I'd say it is vapeable, but far off from what I was trying to accomplish.

The idea for the recipe was to have it like mixing thick Cherry and Banana juice.

But, as i already guessed that it might happen, the cherry gets pretty much drowned and the whole thing is missing juicyness.

Maybe I should just leave out the smoothie base and sweet guava, add SS and WS23 and call it a day? Not sure what to do with this. If someone has any intention or motivation to improve this, feel free to do so.

Honestly, since I got a truckload of different mints, menthols and related stuff in I am rather inclined to experiment with those. Especially because right now I get the most satisfaction out of some strong vanilla mint flavors because i mainly use my Caliburn or Aegis Boost since they do not instantly turn my room into a foggy mess ;)

I only have 3 banana flavours: TPA Banana Nut Bread, TPA Banana Cream and TPA Bananas Foster.

I quite like all of them for different reasons.

The Banana nut bread is an amazing flavour, and is even quite good as a stand-alone. It has a nice banana flavour that doesn't taste artificial, as well as a good bready-ness to it. I honestly don't get much nut but that's prob just me. I've used this up to 8% No off notes here.

Bananas Foster is also very nice imo. At the right percentage (around 5 for me) I get a really nice burnt sugar note. This goes nicely with creams. The only issue I have with it is that the sugar note is easily lost in a mix so I tend to keep it simple. No off notes here either.

Banana Cream is one I got most recently so I haven't experimented much with it but so far so good. It works well with any banana recipe that has cream in already. Haven't pushed this one so I don't know about off notes.

Here is a banana bread reciper I quite enjoy:

Banana Bread:

Banana Nut Bread (TPA) 6.5%

Biscuit (INW) 0.4%

Cheesecake Graham Crust (TPA) 1.75%

Marshmallow (FA) 0.8%

Cheers! :)

Part 1

Noted Ep. 137: BANANA (ft. UnappreciatedRobot)

Ranked by UnappreciatedRobot as he has 49 bananas.

12 Least Favourite Bananas:

OOO Banana Sweet Cream: Butiric and nasty. (7.47)

SC Banana Cream Pie: Very butiric after 3 days. Not butiric at 2% after 6 days. No real off notes but tastes like the cheapest, worst banana cream pie. Better to build one from scratch. (8.00)

River Supply (Nic River) Banana Milkshake: Spoiled milk with a little bit of banana flavour. (10.00)

Bickford Banana Strawberry: Mild strawberry with almost no banana. What banana there is is very under ripe, banana peel. (10.33)

Euro Flavors Banana: Almost no flavour even at 6%. What flavour there is is very under ripe banana. Tested at 3% and 6% (11.40)

CAP Banana: Weird, spicy- not the usual clove off note some bananas have. Unpleasant. (12.21)

SA Banana Custard: Candy banana. Not a terrible candy banana but there's better options. Not custardy. More pudding flavoured with super artificial banana. Not an amazing pudding. (13.00)

OOO Apple Banana Smoothie: Not a terrible flavour. The apple over powers banana. Apple not great, tastes like sliced apple left out to turn brown, mushy. With some yoghurt and banana. (14.17)

TFA Banana: Tastes like TFA Banana Ripe but with cream. Cream is pretty good. (14.59)

TFA Banana Ripe: Pretty awful. Very Runty. Not forgiving. Hard to work into a mix. Has a spice note and odd chemical after taste. (15.22)

OOO Banana: Attempts to be realistic, still has artificial, candy, Runts note. (16.36)

INW Banana: Green banana peel, under ripe banana over Runts. (17.31)

SC Banana: Runts with chemical, nail polish remover. The chemical note got fainter over time so might steep out? Tested at 1% and 2% with 5 days steep. (18.10)

Miscellaneous Bananas:

SA Banane Creme Fraise: Super heavy cream with banana and strawberry. Ok but every element very mediocre. Better to build from scratch. (19.50)

OOO Banana Nut Pudding: Decent pudding with under ripe, banana peel and slight Runts note. No nut flavour. Tested at 3%. (20.31)

OOO Banana Milkshake: Very creamy, full milkshake but with banana candy/Runts. Very thick, full flavoured. (20.08)

OOO Banana Custard: Similar to their Banana But Nut Pudding, but replaced pudding with a custard. A bit thicker, richer, more eggy. But better to build a banana custard from scratch. Banana is candied and Runty, not natural. (22.17)

LB Orange Banana: Pretty good. Not very versatile. Besides a smoothie limited uses for orange with banana. A little harsh. Needs a cream to smooth it out. Tested at 5% (23.41)

River Supply (Nic River) Orange Banana Almost identical to LB Orange Banana. Although RS is more concentrated, equal with RS at 3% and LB at 5%. Same harshness as LB. Also needs a cream to smooth it out. Lacks versatility. Tested at 3% (24.25)

HS Chocolate Banana: Uses HS Australian Chocolate. Dark chocolate, a little nutty and dry. Not the type of chocolate usually paired with banana. Good banana, fairly realistic. No Runts. Not very versatile, very few applications. (25.08)

WF Banoffee Pie: Solid flavour. Graham Cracker with banana, very sweet. Needs a few days- a week steep. No off notes. Banana is good, no Runts. Tested at 3%. (26.27)

SA Banana Bon Bon: Bon bon is a fried pastry with some sort of fruit? Not a lot of flavour. But what is there is good. Cookie/ biscuit with mild banana. Very pastry forward. Needs another banana. (28.36)

WF Deep Fried Plantain: Disappointing. The fried aspect is done well. But plantain buried under a lot of indistinct, warm spice. Earthy and weird. Tested at 3% (30.16)

WF usually do good job of fried things- Deep Fried Pastry Dough, Glazed Doughnut, Picarones at all wonderful.

OOO Bananas Gone Nuts: Really good walnut. Slight banana peel, under ripe banana which is hard to cover in a recipe. (32.02)

CAP Banana Split: No major off notes but not great as SF (see OOO Banana Split). No ice cream. Slight burnt sugar, caramel note a little heavy and lacks creaminess. Has another fruit which brings nice tart juiciness- cherry or pineapple juice? (33.19)

OOO Banana Split: Nice, realistic banana and nice vanilla ice cream. When combined with CAP Banana Split they fill in what each other lack. Missing the tart juiciness of CAP. (33.39)

PUR Banana Scotch Cream: Rich, creamy, buttery. Dark. Perfect banana, slightly candied but that's really covered with another banana. Needs a few days- a week as banana pretty Runty when fresh. (35.18)

FW Strawberry Banana: Strawberry is weak. A lot of artificial banana with a light artificial, slightly bland strawberry back note. Like a strawberry Runt with banana Runt. Versatile. (36.30)

DV Banoffee: Candied banana with dark, sticky toffee. Rich, dark, deep, slight maple/ caramel note, full mouthfeel, very sweet. Versatile for a lot of banana desserts. No crust, very creamy. (38.16)

TFA Banana Fosters: No rum, but other aspects are really good. Cooked banana. A little thin, nice cinnamon note- good balance between banana and cinnamon. (39.45)

FW Banana Nut Bread: Contains sugar syrup. Mostly spiced bread, lacks banana, very dark, molasses-like sweetness. Wick and coil killer. Tested at 4%. (41.22)

FW Banana Split: Contains sugar syrup. Not heavy or rich enough for ice cream element. Banana Split flavoured gourmet lollipop. Artificial banana on top, dark sweetness- possibly chocolate? Indistinguishable fruity and tartness. (43.29)

MB Green Banana in Bamboo Milk: Under ripe banana on top of a cream similar to sweetened coconut milk with an odd woody tone similar to that in FLV Lemongrass. Not very versatile. Complex, well rounded, full flavoured. (44.47)

Part 2

Noted Ep. 137: BANANA (ft. UnappreciatedRobot)

Candy Runts:

Flavor Revolutions Banana Ripe: Mediocre. Banana Laffy Taffy but very thin. (47.54)

LA Banana Cream: Needs to steep. Very Runty for a banana cream. A little thin, sharp. Like Laffy Taffy without the texture of Laffy Taffy (48.53)

LB Banana: Banana candy, thin. (49.37)

VT Shisha Banana: Extremely candied, very sweet, bold, very potent. Really good banana Runts. Tested at 1%. (49.49)

DIYFS Banana Cream: Very similar to LA Banana Cream. But smoother, creamier, thicker, sweeter more mellow. Hint of vanilla. Candy banana cream. (50.55)

DEL Banana Fosters: Delightfully mediocre. Pretty thin. Banana is good, nice caramel. No rum but does have flambe feel, cooked. Lacks ice cream. Mostly cooked banana with a little sweetness and some spice. (51.41)

Nude Nicotine Banana Cream Pie: Really good even as a SF. Nice Graham crust. Really good, creamy banana. (52.40)

INW Shisha Banana: Candied and syrupy- odd for banana. Banana version of Shisha Strawberry in that way, doesn't translate well to a banana. (53.32)

Flavor Revolutions Banana Candy: Really good and authentic banana Runts flavour. Very full flavoured, potentially a bully in a mix Tested at 3%- too much. 1.5% still very full flavoured. Use between 1-1.5% in a mix. (54.40)

Magical Flavors Banana: Very concentrated. 1% is smooth, sweet, subdued candy banana. Thick syrupy body and a wired woody off note. (55.38)

Realistic Bananas:

FA Banana: Very green, thin, dry. (57.50)

INW Horny Banana: At 2% tasted like soap. Could be a concentration issue? May have to use it much lower? Tested at3%- too high, 2%- still to high. (58.29)

DEL Banana: Very mediocre. Thin, not Runty but not a pure natural banana, harsh. (59.31)

PUR Banana: Green, under ripe banana top note and over ripe underneath. Very thick, creamy body, fairly realistic. Can be used successfully in a mix. (1.00.15)

Flavor Monks Banana: Does have some fairly faint green, under ripeness but other than that really good. Green note should be easy to cover. (1.02.05)

HC Banana: Good besides being a little over ripe, mushy. Full flavoured, creamy. Tested at 3%. (1.02.54)

Top Three Misc. Bananas:

TFA Banana Cream: The most versatile banana. Thick and creamy. Banana Snack Pack- artificial banana without being Runts. (1.03.56)

FLV Banana: Weird. Not natural enough to be a realistic banana but not candy enough to be candy banana. Amazing silky smooth mouthfeel. Laffy Taffy top note with silky smooth, creamy finish. 1% good starting point. 1.5% full flavoured. 2% hint of clove. (1.04.49)

TFA Banana Nut Bread: Good even as a SF. Weak flavour. Commonly used around 8%. No nuts. The bread note is fantastic. Banana is natural. Versatile. Pairs well with tobaccos. Tested at 7%. (1.07.00)

MB Nut Banana: Their Soft Banana with a little non-descript nuttiness and a little sweeter. Nuttiness doesn't make it less versatile as it's fairly light. Fairly authentic, natural banana. (1.08.53)

Top Three Candy Bananas:

OOO Happy Taffy Banana: Banana Laffy Taffy done very well. Not very versatile. (1.11.13)

FW Banana: Very good Banana Runts. Has slight powdery texture and acidity, both authentic to the candy. (1.12.14)

Strawberry Banana Sour Belts: Very authentic to a Sour Belt, besides the sourness. But did have tartness. Balance between strawberry and banana really good. (1.13.48)

Their Strawberry Sour Belts also really good.

WF Banana Candy: Perfect Runts. Seems to have crunchy, candy shell with powdery, sweet, dry inside. 2% full flavoured. (1.14.45)

Top Three Realistic Bananas:

WF Banana Puree: Very good realistic, natural mashed banana. Can be tricky when it comes to percentages. Can be a bit mellow, daily bullied. Too high can get spicy. 3% too high, spicy. 1% not enough, too light. Around 2% to 2.5% is about right. (1.16.43)

MB Soft Banana: Really good natural banana, although has hint of candy/ artificial banana. Mushy/ soft. (1.19.09)

VT Banana Custard: Not a custard. Very good banana cream. Forgiving, flexible when it comes to percentages. Scales well. Goes well combined with TFA Banana Cream. (1.20.26)

HS Banana: Really good authentic, natural banana. Percentages can be tricky. 1% not bold, very realistic, slightly creamy, mostly ripe but not mushy. As percentage increased gets more candied and greener quickly. So works best with another banana. Use at 0.75% with another banana (1.21.44)

SA Banana Flambe: Slightly warm, like a cooked banana. No brown sugar or spice notes. Really good, partially cooked, ripe, entirely realistic banana. Light, subtle caramel finish. Fairly soft. (1.23.35)
