Question about one shots
submitted over 5 years ago by Anaali37

Hey guys, I wanted to ask what percentage should my one shot concentrate be in a 100ml 70 vg/30pg (one shot concentrate means like u get the aroma from a company and it just needs mixing with a base to get a juice as if they are selling it)

Whatever the manufacturer says it should be.

Nobody knows but the manufacturer. Check the bottle, their website, or ask them.

Why not try it at 15% & if you’re not happy with it up it another 1 or 2% I use a few one shots at 80 or 90 VG and they recommend 15%-20% I use them all at 15% and they are great at that. I let them steep for a week.

Depends on the specific one shot, the recommended ratio is usually written on the bottle or described at the webpage, if it's not ask the supplier/manufacturer.

Thank you, do you have any idea tho? The seller's website says it's 15% for everything on 50/50 if I want for a 70/30 I should add a bit more. That bit makes a difference

No. If the website says 15%, then it's 15%. If they say mix 50/50, that's how it was designed. Nothing stopping you from altering the recipe, but don't complain if it doesn't taste good.

p.s. changing the ratio shouldn't make that much difference. Changing the % will.

They said to use a bit extra for higher vg..so what do you recommend if I go for 70/30?

Can’t find a link to that one. Normally the suggested % is on the bottle or manufacturer/sellers website though

It will say a recommended % on the bottle. Alternatively you can usually see the recommended % on the site you bought it or just online

Everything from liquid barn tells you on the one-shot bottle.

I‘m kind of assuming you bought them in the UK?

I looked up Nasty Juice and it says „We suggest mixing Nasty Juice concentrates at approximately 15% initially and then adjusting to your personal taste.“, nothing more.

Nowhere does it mention PG/VG ratios. What they are saying is, if you want it stronger, add a bit more until it suits your taste. I would try it at 15% (mentioned here several times) and if you want more taste, add 1% more. Do it in 1% steps, if you go to high, it can turn out tasting quite bad.

I agree that 15% is the best option.

One shots are a rip off and too expensive. It's much better value for money buying the individual flavors and base mix.

I'm not looking to save..I have vg, pg, and nic..and I want to get the commercial juice flavor

> I want to get the commercial juice flavor

So add 5% CAP SS to whatever you mix. Instant 'commercial juice flavor'.
