Brand new nicotine batch. New flavors. Every recipe handled the same way. Nicotine kept in the freezer with displaced oxygen. I made three recipes last night and one turned pink. If its oxidization I've never seen it happen like this. Ingredients in this batch:
8% TFA Cheesecake (Graham Crust)
4% TFA Sweet Raspberry
2% FA Lemon Sicily
Made 50/50 at 30mg/mL (NicRiver Salts).
All I can think is that the Lemon Sicily had a reaction with the bottle it went into, since it’s a really strong citrus.
If you mixed into glass instead of a plastic bottle, then I’m extra stumped. Idk man, I’ve worked with all 3 of those and have never had a juice with them turn even slightly pink.
I’ve had pink.
I think the boss reserve clone on atf was pink when I mixed it.
It turned a yellow hue. Now its a good amber.
Best bet is a chemical reaction from the TFA CGC and FA Lemon Pledge
I love LC but I can see why others hate it. I love the "pledge"/fruit loop lemon flavor. I mix it it with cookie and strawberry for a fruit ring cereal type flavor.
Hey, I only call it that because it's accurate. Not because I dislike it. What I dislike is its propensity to go full David Copperfield after a few days. INW Lemon Mix is also Lemon Pledge the first few hours if you go over .75%, but that shit is my jam. Well, in as mich as anything not named INW Cactus, GL Cherry, TFA Honeysuckle, Cap Hibiscus, INW Grapes, WS-23, or FA Polar Blast qualifies as being 'my jam'. But it's essentially part of EVERY lemonade, berry, or citrus based mix I do. Mostly. Except when I use JF Lemon Juicy, that is. But always in lemonades. It's FA Lemon Pledge, only more potent, and unlike fathers that play in the NBA, it sticks around.
Was that one exposed to more light than the others?
He said he mixed them last night...so they can't very well have been exposed to much direct sunlight.
If it's just slightly pink, I wouldn't worry, I have randomly seen strange (light) colorings after mixing. My suspect would be the nic salt, not sure if the acid is 100% bound to the nicotine, so some (miniscule amount) could maybe react a little with the flavourings?!
