What’s up everyone? Happy New Year! Hope everyone is cranking out some dope mixes. I just wanted to share with you all a mix that surprised me this past week. Spoiler: I’m obsessed with blueberries. Most berries in fact. Boysenberries, blackberry’s and blueberries are my favorite. I’ll slay strawberries and raspberries too, but they are runner ups. I’ve tried all sorts of milk and cream bases with berries, and lots of them work, but I made a new one that is a little different. It’s effective and intriguing, and I was happy it worked well in this new blueberry milk recipe. Let’s jump right into it, the recipe is below, and then let’s go over why I chose each ingredient.
|Flavor Co.|Flavor|%| |:-|:-|:-| |TFA|Berry Crunch|1| |FW|Blueberry|2| |VT|Blueberry Candy|3| |FA|Milk|1.5| |VT|Yogurt Drink|1| |FW|Yogurt|2|
Total Flavoring 10.5%, minimum 1 week steep, preferably 2.
I also throw in about 0.5% CAP Super Sweet because I like things sweet, adjust it to your liking if you wish.
Let’s look at our blueberries. One is super common, and used quite frequently, the other not so much. They were picked for very specific reasons and here’s why.
FW Blueberry lays an incredible foundation for our blueberry base. Its sweet and well rounded, slightly syrupy, bright and works well with creams. It's one of the most versatile blueberries, and it's very forgiving. Most of you should have this, as it’s a part of the blueberry trinity for good reason. I tried the trinity in this recipe, and it works, just not as well in my opinion. FW Blueberry does a great job at effectively tying our next blueberry flavoring to it, creating a wonderful blueberry experience that is full and delicious.
VT Blueberry Candy is the blueberry star here. It’s a candy blueberry that is vibrant and sweet. This is not a hard candy blueberry to my palate. This is more of a pillowy, puffy and thick type of blueberry. Almost like a marshmallow, this is the perfect match for this recipe. It’s a nice change of pace from what most of us blueberry connoisseurs are used to, and I am surprised it isn’t used more often. It snuggles in nicely with FW Blueberry and creates a velvety and silky type of blueberry experience. These two together create our blueberry combination, and they blend perfectly in to our creams.
Milk time baby. Milky milk with creamy milky milkiness. I love milk.
FA Milk is absolutely absurd. It’s definitely my favorite milk offering by a longshot. It is a thick, sweet, and smooth dairy cream. It coats your mouth, no joke. It tastes like milk, seriously. If you don’t have this one, bite the bullet and pick it up. As I know most of you won’t have this, an easy sub is ooo Cream (Milky Undertones) at the same percentage, and it also works well. This is a huge part of the milk base that the blueberries are blended into and it tastes oh so delicious.
Next up, FW Yogurt, another in my opinion underutilized concentrate. This doesn’t really taste like yogurt to me per se, but that’s good for us. It’s dense and sweet, buttery and creamy. Its rich and it fits with FA Milk in our base to create a milky sweet cream, that is not lacking in body. This concentrate is utterly incredible. Ha.
ACCENTS BABY.
TFA Berry Crunch is loved and hated. I think the people that hate it mix it too high, though. Keep it at 1% and it adds depth to this recipe. A touch of mixed berries that adds some sweet grainy body. I’m a sucker for CAP’N Crunchberries. This one just sneaks in to add intrigue and help our recipe stand a tad taller.
It’s time for the sleeper pick in this recipe, and if you don’t have it, cop it.
VT Yoghurt Drink, baby. What do berries need? Some mf’in lemon. This concentrate has it. It’s natural and bright, and it even has some tang. Best news for our recipe? It adds some creaminess as well, almost like a smoothie. 2 birds, one stone. This was a shot in the dark when flavor testing this recipe, and it works like a charm.
That’s pretty much it. A very different type of blueberries and milk. It works well in my opinion, and it’s berry tasty. Check it out if you have the concentrates, if you don’t, the missing ones from your collection are worth picking up. Keep it real everyone, looking forward toward some awesome mixes this year. I’m going to be releasing some banger custard mixes, so stay tuned.
The cool thing about this recipe is you can swap out the blueberries for pretty much any berry combo of your choice, the base is versatile.

Hell yeah Granite - didn't know I needed FA Milk. Great write up mate.
Thanks! FA Milk is legit. Pick up the following FA if you don't have it,
Milk
Butter
Corn
Custard Premium
Whipped Cream
Pandoro
I keep forgetting to grab corn when I order from chef's, but where do you find fa butter? I've never seen it anywhere. Also, you forgot pandoro on the list
