After half a dozen experimental mixes, I've arrived at something that is beginning to approach what I was shooting for:
3.50% FLV Avocado
0.75% FLV Basil
1.00% TFA Cucumber
1.00% CAP Lime
1.00% FA Lime Tahiti CP
0.66% Saline (2%)
The avocado provides a a deep, creamy base but doesn't really taste at all like actual avocado. The cucumber is quite prominent, perhaps a little too much so. The basil isn't really discernable at all, but it intuitively seems to belong. The lime and salt are perfect, right where I want them.
What do you all think it could be missing?
Edit: This recipe has since undergone further development; refer to the following ELR link if you want to mix it up: https://e-liquid-recipes.com/recipe/3429984/Guacamole+V2
Nachos.
2% AP should give a solid corn chips flavor, which ought to be close enough.
And .1% INW Lemon Mix, just to make everything a bit more vibrant.
Try a single drop of FA Polar Blast. It should increase any salt taste you have in there.
When I make guacamole, it also includes a little crème fraiche, and cumin
I love cumin and use tons of it in the kitchen, but have yet to find a vapable cumin flavor available in the US. Do you know of any?
I did play with dairy flavors in this recipe, but ultimately found it better without. (Even at 0.5%, cream almost completely masked the avocado.)
God bless you, this shit is crazy. You could try FA Zen Garden for the basil flavor, supposedly it has a sage, basil, earthy taste that might be better than the basil you're working with now. I mixed a citrus basil juice a few weeks ago with it but I'm honestly afraid to try it lol
Why the Basil?
was wondering the same. could be to supplement cilantro or to achieve an herby sort of essence in the mix
There's vapable cilantro flavor? Does it taste anything at all like fresh cilantro? If so, where can I buy some?
oh lol no not that i’m aware of, i suppose i meant supplement in that i didn’t even consider whether there was one out there for vaping liquids, just assumed there wasn’t. then that’s why i figured you were experimenting with the basil, to maybe get a cilantro or herby spice note in there. i’m glad the basil is bringing something good to the mix, and playing off that lime zest well!
as far as other suggestions, i am unsure of any relevant flavorings off the top of my head. but i very much respect this endeavor to create a guacamole flavor, super intriguing and not for the faint of heart. good luck to you:)
