Greetings to all DIY'ers out there!
Did you try anything new this month? If so, can you please share your thoughts? It doesn't matter if it's brand new or just new to you. After all, taste (and smell) are all in the personal interpretation. And even if the flavor you've tried has been reviewed or discussed hundreds of times... how was it for you?
I could probably ask what your favorite solo concentrate is. Or which one you use the most. Fact is, that's just making small talk. Yet what is interesting is to find out that another person has very similar sensory perception when it comes to these fine vaping aromas. Someone here mentioned an obscure line. Another person mentioned how they might not order anything from that vendor/supplier UNLESS it was super good. Well, that's just it.... we don't know for sure unless we personally try it. Because it may be sensational for someone and just 'blah' to you. Or vice versa.
SLIGHTLY OFF-TOPIC: I use a drop of TPA Caramel in my Folgers auto-brewed coffee. It smoothes out the rough edges. Some call it the "skunk" that they get out of it. Even with a single drop in the grounds, can notice the difference in a 10-cup pot of java. Does it vape like it tastes? To me, yes... pretty much. Are you using aromas in other ways besides making your V-Juice? ("V' for vaping! Yay!) And does it come across your palate the same?

It was exactly a month ago I believe when I smelled VTA Jackfruit and promised myself to never ever in this lifetime or the next get anywhere close to a pig's arse.
RF French Toast is alright @ 10%. Needs more bread IMHO. Only been steeping for 5 days tho.
FW Root Beer Float @ 10% - not enough float. Will supplement w VBIC next time I mix. Has a heavy anise note.
Tested INW "Little Space Drop". They say it's tobacco taste with roasted walnuts. Sounded delicious. To me it tastes like a unripe walnut with a slightly woody note. Very strong, very strange, not really sure what this could be used for.
Maybe an additive to tobaccos?
EDIT: I've added a black tea to tobacco before to give a more robust taste, so this might work as well. Except for maybe the unripe part? I don't know, but that aspect might mean using TPA Turkish to help disguise it if it's unpleasant.
This week I am testing Boysenberry Raspberry SC by Wonder Flavours. DIY Ejuice describes it as "A tart berry blend of bright raspberry and bold boysenberry flavor". DIY Ejuice recommends a mixing percentage range of 1-4%.
I mixed one, 10 ml bottle at 2% with a 60VG/40PG ratio, and let steep 24 hours. I taste a weak flavor that I would think is the blend, rather than distinct raspberry and whatever. I have been dripping (on a Blitz Hermetic single coil RDA) about 1 ml per day for three days now and the flavor is consistent. I do enjoy this flavor: it's earthy and not too sweet. I will finish this bottle, but will then mix another bottle at 4%.
