Trial Results for Solo Concentrate?

WEEK XLI

Fast approaching a new year!

Hello all DIY'ers! Hopefully everyone has enjoyed their holiday season thus far.

What single bottle of concentrate did you try out this past week or so? Were you impressed, even floored by anything super wonderful? Also... curious who out there is vaping a single flavor right now. I'm just moving away from the Butter Pecan from the past week. Seems like it definitely is an acquired taste. Thinking that the vapor aroma lodged in my beard so that there was lingering enjoyment from it! Ha!

Seriously though, curious what you may have discovered throughout the past few days. Maybe you'd went back and tested out some old mixes from months ago? I've been thinking about pulling out some of my old vaping devices to see how my DIY tastes in some of them. Granted they'll have to be thoroughly cleaned to get a good idea of what's what.

Just give us a thumb's up or down, some other kind of rating system, a range of strength you might have used it and/or anything you think you need to comment upon so that the rest of us are aware of your findings!

Enjoy the rest of your seasonal cheer!!

Shisha orange! Probably decent by itself but I added 2% ice cream. Man, what a power punched flavor it is though!

VT Peach Yogurt

Tested at 3%
After about 3 days steep, this flavor is very good on its own - Nice subtle, sweet peach flavor that pairs well with the body of the yogurt.

My 10ml tester disappeared, before I even realized what was going on ...

VT Bubblegum Base

Tested at 5%

Right off the shake, i immediatly pick up hints of wintergreen / mint, anise, and some other flavours. It seems like this flavour is really trying to combine all the classic ingredients of bubblegum to make the flavour. I'm not too sure if I tested it too high though - not too much on the flavour itself, will have to report back about that.

I can't really see it being used as a bubblegum flavour personally, but it could maybe boost another bubblegum.

Did you try it at a lower % or only at 5%? I wonder if that anise you are getting is only present at higher %s or if it’s there no matter what

Nope, but im planning on it here soon. I was thinking of cutting it in half and seeing how it bodes. I'll probably just dump out my 5% tester because anise grosses me out to the max lmao.

I’m with you on the anise hate! Let me know how a lower % is!

VT Lime Cordial

Knuckle: bright artificial lime. Initial sweetness turns into a bitter harshness.

Mjolnir: day 7-10ish. Decent lime flavor. Good strength here at 2% and could probably go up. Bit dry, throaty. Biggest problem is a dark/funky peel aspect that is pretty weird. It sticks out. Not terribly sweet but smells like cotton candy. This doesn't come through much on the vape though. This is decent but I much prefer TFA Key Lime. Decent solo flavor and I finished the 10ml no problem.

> TFA Key Lime.

I forgot that I have this. I'm just starting to get into lime flavors. I've always had (A few of) them but they were for other peoples recipes. Ive always enjoyed lime candy, and slushy type flavors. I haven't had much real lime besides the ones from bar drinks and stuff like that. I sure do enjoy the flavor while vaping it though.

Inawera's regular Lime flavor is pretty nice. I like how it doesn't beat around the bush. It's lime, and "in yo face" lime at that.

I can't do INWs regular Lime because it reminds me of floor cleaner. I haven't tried it in 3 years so maybe it's since been reformulated?

Here's some good recipes to try with TFA Key Lime in them: Placid clone v7, subLIME Bar, Twister Lolly, Grafitti, and Oxygen.

Have you by chance tried VT Shisha lime to compare it to? I love their Shisha and have been thinking about trying the cordial

Haven't tried VT Shisha Lime, but next up I'm trying INW Shisha Lime.

I haven't tried INWs yet, but I have pretty much their whole Shisha line waiting for me to get time to try them all. VTs is fantastic and is highly recommend making Lime Drink to try it. It's on ATF and it's just VT Shisha lime and VT yogurt drink with super sweet

Flavorah "Citrus Soda"

Mixed at 5%

Almost spot-on Sprite/Sierra Mist flavor profile. Pleasant/clean/refreshing and- most importantly- tasty. I feel like it would pair well with other fruit flavors, and look forward to getting Mad Scientisty (a dash of Inawera Raspberry, maybe Hangsen Ginger). Anybody have some awesome "Citrus Soda" upgrades?

Editty deal: using a Caliburn, so your ideal % may be lower

That’s really high for FLV Citrus Soda. Take a look at some of u/staybert’s soda recipes on ATF.

FWIW I am using a Caliburn pod system, but thanks...I'll try it at a lower % next time and see how it works for me. If for no other reason than to stretch my Flavorah budget. Lol

Ahh, 5% may be fine in a pod system! I’m not very well versed in pods.

Thank you for indicating your percentage was for use in a pod. :)
