Nail Polish Shaker?
submitted almost 6 years ago by deja_blue-fl

I have rheumatoid arthritis and it makes it difficult to shake up my juice. Has anyone ever tried something like this?

How much do you shake your juices?

It will likely work OK for small bottles if you let it run for long enough but don't expect to get a 60ml bottle on there. A slightly better option is a vortex mixer, but they aren't cheap because they're usually for industrial/medical use so it's usually a waste of money when people don't have a need to avoid shaking by hand. There are used ones selling on eBay for $50-100. If you are dead set on getting a vortex mixer for less than that, I have a 3D printed design for one which I might be able to hook you up with.

To answer your question, it depends on the bottle size and whether I'm shaking by hand or using a vortex mixer - 30 seconds at least by hand.

Like anyone that has watched me make juice, including my wife, u guys may laugh too. But I use a cordless sawzall/reciprocating saw. It works amazing at half speed.

If you mix into 30ml bottles, you're golden. I've used one for several years doing that. Anything larger won't work.

Someone posted recently about small glass balls in a bottle (similar to a spray paint can) to make the mixing very easy. I don't know where you would find the glass balls, but I think that would ease the process by just slowly turning the bottle from side to side it would mix relatively quickly and probably wouldn't be very expensive.

Edit: couldn't find glass spheres small enough, but AliExpress and Amazon have small glass beads that are inexpensive and would probably work very well. Obviously sanitize them first.

I use a labgenius mini vortex mixer. I got it for mixing hobby paint, but works a treat for DIY recipes too. I also have a ultrasonic cleaner (cleaning my airbrush lol) I've used to mix and heat mixes for steeping. edit - also good for cleaning your atomizers as said elsewhere in the replies.

I highly recommend the mini vortex if it's not out of your price range.

I use an iZen ProShaker to shake my flavoring bottles and 15ml glass sample bottles. You can shake a 30ml plastic bottle with it but nothing bigger will fit. I've used it regularly for over two years and it's still going strong. It's been really handy for shaking NET bottles which tend to have a bit of sediment at the bottom.

A few friends of mine uses a ultrasonic cleaner. They just put the bottle in the ultrasonic cleaner and set it for how ever long they want. And it’s good to clean rda,rta

Throw it in for 5 mins and it's like a 2 week steep. It will even darken a bit.

That is not what is happening.

Isn’t that the nicotine oxidizing?

Yup yup. No nic doesn't change color even when in sun light. Well I say that some flavors will still change. The oxidation usually helps bring out some flavors and mellow out hard notes.

Get a drill and vape wire if you build coils. Make a tiny wisk

Nope. That just oxidizes the shit out of your mix

I know a professional juicemaker that does this with his personal mixes to test new flavors. I've done this a bunch. Keeping the wire in there maybe, but I've never had an issue with it changing anything from mixing for 20-30 seconds.
