Concerned about a flavoring that I was sold.
submitted almost 6 years ago by EadesyBakedOven

Hi there,

I was looking for some information or maybe anyone out there would be able to give some insight if they have ever come across this brand or know anything about it. I went to the local vape shop to get some cotton, I currently live in Washington where the flavor ban is still ongoing and do have a stash of some left over juices but to be honest the flavors are getting pretty bad (mostly stuff from Zamplebox that I just threw aside when I could be picky.)

While there I was chatting with the guy and he was telling me they still sell tobacco flavors and non flavored stuff so I went with a non flavor VG/PG 80/20, I've looked on some sites for flavors to add and thought I could just do that but then he also told me that he had "Air Fresheners" and that he had to call them Air Fresheners because he legally can't sell flavors. He said that I could look online and see what the correct ratio was and it was only 10 bucks so I thought it would be worth a try. Which is what kind of led me here. But now that I'm looking at the bottle I started to get concerned because this is super marketed as an air freshener.

It said TNT on it which is a pretty well known brand of E-Juice but at the time I was just thinking they were the same but now i'm feeling pretty sketch. Any idea if this is legit and would you mix it with a PG/VG mix? Wanted to post some pictures for reference but looks like that's not allowed?

Edit: Link of some photos -- https://imgur.com/a/gLj6Ib3

TLDR: Bought a flavoring marketed as a "Air Freshener" because Washington is dumb and I might be too.

Maybe it’s just me, but if they’re sketchy enough to sell it like that, I’m thinking they’re sketchy enough not to trust with anything that goes in your body. I’d pair it with the nearest wastebasket and order concentrates from a reputable supplier.

yeah i second this. definitely not something to play around with if you aren't sure.

Food additives are not banned in any state, just order flavors online please do not vape anything that comes in a fucking aerosolizing spray can

I’m moving towards that option anyways. But for clarification... it does have the same consistency etc as PG/VG and is not aerosolizing. Literally comes out in the same form it is in the bottle. I literally think it’s just flavoring but without any knowledge of the company or previous products I’m just avoiding it.

Maybe they're just that paranoid, but you should drill them with questions to make sure they're selling people legit shit.

I love the directions that say “Do Not spray directly into Air” and it’s sold as an air freshener..,

I have a self cleaning toilet to sell you, new in box and I’ll mark it as not for use for Human Defecation or Natural Body Fluid uses.

So laughing...

TNT brand?, never heard of them and I’m in the same state.

As far as i know TNT was a flavor by time bomb ejuice company. But the flavor profile was Apple, Strawberry, and something else. I wouldn't touch that air freshener shit with a 10 foot pole.

Yeah I definitely would not use this. Either start mixing yourself from reliable sources or take a trip down to Portland and stock up.

Ecigexpress is located in Washington and I usually have my stuff from them within 2-3 days.

I was going to suggest Ecigexpress too, I've ordered from them a few times. Bullcityflavors is fast too, both have good prices.

Gremlindiy is also based out of Washington iirc so they might get to you faster than bullcity which is based in North Carolina

Man, this is fuckin hilarious bit also sad. It's the most retarded way to sell flavors or one shots. "Should we call this candy/culinary flavoring? NAH IT'S AIR FRESHENER BRO"

Is the email TNTairfreshener@gmail.com? Because I emailed it and my mail didn't go through. "Address not found"

Should probably call authorities for that, because that shit could possibly kill someone or give them cancer

Post it to imgur and then give us the link

Very strange. I've never seen anything like this before nor am I aware of the TNT ejuice brand. However, it seems that if the vape shop is legit, this is most likely a one shot for that brand. This means the entire bottle is a premixed combination (recipe) of flavoring concentrates for TNT's peach ring ejuice. With an ejuice calculator, you can punch in the numbers to measure it out and make the ejuice. Have you googled anything to find a legitimate source for ratios?

TNT is an old school legit e-liquid brand, completely separate from this product

Flavoring is legal everywhere. No reason to sell it in sketchy packaging. No way would I trust that stuff because it could be oil based or vitamin e oil inside it. That vape shop is making our community look bad. Just buy flavoring from a legit vendor like Bullcity or River supply.

> Flavoring is legal everywhere.

Not true. Washington State is attempting to ban DIY as well. They included language in the ban that prohibits selling flavorings that could be used with vapor products. Essentially if you are a shop like this, you cannot sell the legal components if there is an intent to use them together and get around the "Ban." https://www.krem.com/article/news/investigations/spokane-vape-shop-attempted-loophole/293-b19fe7a2-5b21-496d-a227-5770dfaeada4

I understand the law. Just don't buy flavoring in a vape shop. I was referring to buying it online from a reputable vendor like Bullcity or River Supply instead. Bullcity removed nicotine from their website.

I know this is getting off topic, but don't forget to check out the rally in Olympia for vaper's rigths, January 17. https://www.facebook.com/events/865518123865004/

As stated in that article...As for consumers, there’s no rule penalizing the public if they are able to purchase these products from a vaping shop, or if they buy flavoring from another source to add to their unflavored vaping juice.

Washington state you cannot sell flavors along side vg,pg, and nicotine. That's why ecigexpress no longer has an option for nicotine or bases.

OP since you are familiar with the brand I would contact the company and ask them about that product. I don't know anything about the brand or any contact info but I'm skeptical about the wording on the label.

I think the name “TNT” is being used but not necessarily the same brand after some research I’ve already thrown it away

i would probably taste a drop, but i wouldn't vape that just in case.

Absolutely do no use this. Since you are in Washington go to ecigexpress dot com. They have every flavor you could want, you just can't order vg,pg, or nicotine from them.

Go to the sidebar and you will find a great first order guide. It will give you a good start for flavors and good recipes that those flavors make.

I would take that "air freshener" back and get your money back. I would also never visit that store again. No reputable store should be selling "air freshener" as DIY flavor concentrates.

It's legit and works, I've bought some from a shop in Auburn. It's NOT air freshener they just have to market it that way as a loop hole around the flavored ban and of course they may have used a fake email for obvious reasons
