Recipe: Black Lotus

Thought I'd share a recent creation of mine. Was lucky enough to nail this one first go so I'm pretty stoked about that one. And also stoked on how dam good it is!

Have been playing around with FLV Boysenberry recently and it is such a nice flavour. I kinda wanted to do a berry/cream thing with it but I feel like it's been done so often and I also hate waiting for steeps, so I tend to keep things simple, unique and focus on SNV recipes. I started with 3% FLV Boysen because I know it works at that percentage as a starting point with a lot of focus on that flavour.

Finding something to back it up with was also pretty easy. I was just going through all my flavours and testing aromas and seeing what would go well with the Boysenberry. I came across TPA Coconut Extra and loved the idea of the flavour combination of that and the Boysenberry. I then thought that Coconut Extra can be pretty unforgiving and overpowering, so I found TPA Coconut Candy which was perfect. It has a really nice creamy quality which I thought would go great with berries and is in my opinion a much easier flavour to work with. 1% was perfect.

Then I needed something to brighten it up, balance it out, and push it up in to ADV territory. I was on the fence with FLV Pink Guava cause I know can be pretty dominating in a mix. But thought fuck it and went with it at a 0.25%

Then I chucked 1% of WS-23 at it cause it's summer here and I can't get enough of that shit.

Please mix it and let me know what you think. IMO it's an absolute winner. It's simple, SNV, unique and absolutely ADVable. Cheers!

I'll check this out when I pick up some pink guava. Until then I'm gonna hunt down the remaining power nine.

Time Twister

Some pretty serious potential for recipe names there.

Certainly does. You will also be pleased to know that I just sold this recipe for $160k on ebay

This is why I came here and I am so far from disappointed.

FLV Eisai Tea is better, made the switch from FE Green Tea and never looked back.
