Just purchased my first MTL e-cig which uses a 1.2ohm coil. Unfortunately, my recipes are designed for my 0.25ohm RDA's.
The main reason that I ask this question is that I am unsure of how to adapt my recipes for MTL. Also, I am right in thinking that MTL e-cig is better suited for less complex recipes (2-4 concentrates per recipe)?
Can someone suggest a good cheesecake recipe for this style of e-cig?
I've found that some are fine being the same. Others I've almost doubled ingredients to get the flavor back. Seems variations are needed.
I would think the DIYORDIE cheesecake recipe would work MTL. It's a sweeter juice, and can shake and vape. link
Alfred's Cheesecake Trinity is:
- 3% INW Yes We Cheesecake
- 2% CAP NY Cheesecake
- 1% TFA Cheesecake (Graham Crust)
It think for MTL you might want to nearly double that, but for an initial test, I'd make a small batch of
- 4.5% INW Yes We Cheesecake
- 3% CAP NY Cheesecake
- 1.5% TFA Cheesecake (Graham Crust)
- 0.5% CAP Super Sweet
And see how that goes.
Been looking at doing the cheesecake trinity for my RDA. It's weird. Some people say that you don't have to adjust much for some things and then a lot for others. Bit frustrating as the holidays is a very busy period at work for me, then I'm going straight into a new job after so don't have much spare time at the moment but will try it out as you suggested.
Sorry for the late response, busy at work with overtime
Have you managed to try the recipe that The Kingmaker has recommended to you ? I would also be interested, so please let me know :)
Honestly there still is no cheesecake I have tried that actually has the richness and sweetness of actual cheesecake.
For me the cheesecake trinity gets me close but isn't as sweet, creamy (but still dense) or tangy as I wanted. So use the trinity as a starting point and play around with the percentages a bit. I keep YWC where it is but boost NYCC and CGC a bit and added MB epic vanilla to kind of bump it up a bit, as well as a touch of GCC to reinforce the crust. I also tried adding a bit of bavarian cream but that wasnt it, neither was vanilla swirl. I recently purchases FLV vanilla pudding for something else but I might add a touch to see what happens, also got HS Italian cream to see if that adds a tang and some more body. Maybe some CAP golden butter as well for the crust.
As far as the sweet part goes, to me even 0.20% CAP super sweet muddles the original trinity so I might pick up some FLV sweetness as I've heard it referred to as better for bakeries.
I think part of the issue may be what kind of cheesecake people are used to. Dont get me wrong the cheesecake trinity tastes like the real thing but just not the type I'm used to. Be it homemade, NY style (east coast so thats what I'm used to), European or what not, like everything else not only are peoples tastes in general different but what flavor something 'should' taste like varies wildly as well.
I am currently testing bavarian cream as well and OOO custard cheesecake I hear tastes like LA cream cheese icing smells. It might have the missing richness and hangsen italian cream is necessary in my mind and should be included in any cheesecake recipe. It is the only thing I found that has a cheese note that has no feet off notes.
