ws-23 and coil life?
submitted almost 6 years ago by southernrail

love ws-23 and frequently use a lot in my recipes, wondering if anyone has experience with coil life with ws-23? I understand sweeteners, flavors, etc...but cooling agents? cheers.

I use a lot of WS-23 and my coil life seems never ending. Sweetener is the life-shortener.

Just burn off the gunk from sweetener and continue using the half year old coil.

Nope, no sugar to gunk, almost zero acidity from what I remember reading. It's perfectly fine for your coils really! VG is worse for your coils than WS-23

Using it at normal levels, you should not have an issue.

thanks! I use a lot, generally around 1.5 to 2%. had a feeling it might not, but was wondering.

That's not a lot. Unless you're using three different cooling agents

WS-23 is the holy grail for me, I use between 1.5-4% depending on the device. I haven't noticed any kind of reduction in coil life using it. The only time I notice a reduction is when I use sweetener.

thanks, I discovered it about a month ago and it's quickly my favorite additive. don't like koolada, nor menthol, but this stuff is outstanding! I never want to be without.

Use WS-23 and Koolada together for the ultimate cooling. This is a popular combination

would you recommend a 1:1 split?

If you love it and use it all the time shouldn't you know the answer to this question?

of course, if I vape unflavored, sure. but I do enjoy flavors from time to time and want to pinpoint any coil damage and what I can do to help negate it.

Do you also eat unsalted food but put salt on it from time to time?
