INW Shisha Pineapple Re-review or something
submitted almost 6 years ago by RoninVX

Alright, this flavour seems to be somewhat of a... I don't know, really. Every review/rating online is the same silly thing:

"TRIED IT AT 3% IT'S PLASTIC AND HORRIBLE MAYBE TRY AT 6% :)", "HORRIBLE,TRY IT AT 5%" et cetera.

My first thought was "this doesn't help me at all". Second thought "Why are people increasing the % of INW flavours like that, am I missing something?". To give a bit of background, I had no intention of obtaining this, I was aiming to get INW Pineapple. Getting this flavour instead (my mistake, not the providers) was quite the PITA.

So I decided to take up this daunting task of trying to make something out of this flavour. Wow am I glad I did so, this little fella is potent as hell but oh so lovely! This is the perfect tea pineapple you never thought you'd need or want. Hell, who drinks pineapple tea (does it even exist? I should know this, I down liters of tea per day).

Enough of this chit chat, though, let me discuss what I did and how I did it I guess.

Gear/setup: Falcon King, M1+ Coil 0.16, Bamboo fiber

Testing %: @0.1, 0.2, 0.25, 0.4, 0.5, 0.2 tested once more on a fresh coil afterwards

I really don't get the need for all the additional things people include with these (nor the setup honestly, feels like a personal preference thing).

Now to list each %

0.5 - Bad, REALLY bad. I can feel the plastic, the carbon emissions, I can taste the unwashed asshole this pineapple coal was served on and it had a shotglass full of melted plastic in it.

0.4 - Oh what's this, getting vapeable

0.3 - Almost there

0.25 - BOOM

0.2 - DOUBLE BOOM

0.1 - eh missed the sweet spot a bit

I don't know if such a concept exists, but imagine if one had a room of pineapple butts (well, dunno if it's a butt, the bottom part of a pineapple where core meets outside) and had started making smoke via them. That's the taste you'd get. I admit I'm not a fan of shisha and have never tried hookah because the whole idea of putting something that's been sucked on by so many people in my mouth utterly disgusts me and honestly I'm better off without sucking on a coal. But this does taste like smokey pineapple external parts with coal. It's absolutely delicious honestly.

The inhale is nice and smooth, bringing a nice tough scent and taste of sweet scented smoke, the exhale is a delicious, though not very natural, pineapple. Really, REALLY, pleasant. Imagine the exact opposite of CAP Golden Pineapple really. It's a bit perfumey, a very smoked taste. I imagine I could recreate it by shallow frying a pineapple butt with some hickory liquid smoke and then grilling it maybe. But in a somewhat subtle manner, because this is a very subtle flavour with a lot of smoke with it...

My only issue with it is that it feels very thin. The throat hit of it is nice, but it feels like it's missing something to round it up proper. As a single flavour it's nothing fascinating really, but I feel in teas it's going to belong really well. So I went with a tea combo and voila, it works so well! I need more tea flavours to test it better with them, but it fit oh so well with FLV Red Tea it's like it was the perfect missing piece of the puzzle.

Overall it's a flavour which isn't for everyone and I guess it probably strays a lot from the other shisha flavours. But it's also interesting in how it's a valid and good flavour at really low percentages. I like what it's going for really. I went with this recipe in the end and it was great. Do give it a try if you want!

Appreciate this. Was following shisha orange discussion recently that mentioned the same. Less than 1% needed. Yet to try, but will include this along the way.

Thanks OP!

Less than 0.5% in this case. Imho if it's up your alley defo dillute it in a 10% and enjoy as any other more inw flavour

by St1llFrankalmost 6 years agoThis flavor... This is not my kind of flavor

I always laugh when I read absurd reviews at flavor stores. The type I'm talking about- For a FE flavor "I tried this at 15% and it's very weak". Okay...

Interesting. I have red tea and Shisha pineapple, but have yet to try either. I think I'll give this a shot. Does the hibiscus do anything for flavor in this or if it just to emulsify? I don't have cap hibiscus, that's why I'm wondering.

Also, do you by chance have any experience with fa cream tea, and do you think this might also work with it?

I just like hibiscus and figured it'd fit. It didn't fit that much, but was enjoyable. Just a heads up that it takes a good tankful to get rid of the flavour after - it sticks a bit to the coil, but I think that's the red tea. Not sure really.

I'm sure you can just go red tea + shisha pineapple really

Red Tea is the only tea I have unfortunately. Depends on what the cream tea tastes like. If it's an eastern style of tea taste then definitely! If it's like yorkshire tea with milk probably not

Thanks for that heads up for sure! I'll give it a go with both teas and report back here. I don't know a whole lot about teas, so I'm gonna guess that it's closer to a Yorkshire tea since it's a flavourart flavor
