I just spoke to River Supply Co regarding orders placed on Black Friday. They informed me that they received thousands on orders that day, but are trying to get the orders shipped as quickly as possible.
There have been multiple posts/comments regarding this topic, so just wanted to pass on the information. They also said that they really appreciate everybody’s patience as they work through the remaining orders.
Yeah I ordered black Friday and my order is supposed to come this Thursday. Didn't surprise me much though, they always get super bogged down by these sales. I order from BCF if I want stuff fast (especially since they are geographically closest of the vendors), but NR has always been good for me, if slow. I like that their 15mL bottles are roughly the price of everyone else's 10mL.
Yeah they are definitely doing their best. Mine shipped out last Friday via FedEx Ground. It fell into a FedEx black hole for almost a week and finally got to my state today. Expecting it to finally deliver tomorrow.
I called them up because initially FedEx told me they lost the packages. Nicotine River called me back an hour later with details as they worked with a FedEx and were able to locate. Super great company from my initial experience and I will definitely be ordering again soon
I thought I misplaced a box of flavors I was looking for from them. Emailed about a tracking number they got right back to me and delivery was next day. Great prices, I can wait a couple extra days for their pricing and selection. But I tend to spread my orders around alittle anyways...diy vape supply and bull
Got the shipping notification today for my BF order and it should be here Friday. Oddly shipped via FedEx even though I didn't order any nicotine or any no-fly flavorings. Last New Year's sale order took about 2 weeks to arrive so I knew there was probably going to be a delay. Nothing I needed right away so no big deal..
I got a shipping notice today, finally, but it’s still preshipment. (With an estimate of Friday delivery) so we are looking at two weeks to get an order. I get that they had a lot of orders. But so did many other companies and I’ve received those, as well as subsequent orders. They should be more prepared, They didn’t wake up surprised it was Black Friday, they knew It was coming. From what I can see, they often have shipping issues. For me it just means I will only order purilum from there if I find I can’t live without a particular flavor. I will do everything in my power to shop elsewhere. I’m sure I am not the only one who feels this way. Maybe they don’t care to keep customers. That’s fine. Live and learn. Bull city and diy have good prices, good selection between them, good shipping times, and good customer service.
You’ve been spoiled. They ran the largest sale (that I’m aware of) for Black Friday. They can’t prepare for shipping either, they have no idea what people are going to order.
Yes, I understand that. And given the fear over a possible country wide ban, I’m sure the number of orders was astronomical. Still, my order has not shipped and yet they created a label. When I email them I don’t hear back. Even a website notice would help. they wouldn’t have to respond individually. It’s a long time to take a customers money and not respond. A couple of hundred dollars might not be a big deal to some, or to them, but I notice it. And I worry. Respect the idea I gave them my hard earned money with certain expectations. Communication goes a long way. Not too long ago I placed an order with vaperstek, for 3 liters of 100mg of nicotine, they took my money, but they didn’t have any nicotine in stock, I waited about a month. I was fine with that because I was informed. ✌️
Hey I’m sorta with you I ordered this Sunday a week past Black Friday if they are behind on shipping they could have had a notice up. I would have ordered else where. Now I’m stuck waiting and didn’t even catch a discount, next time I can order else where I guess I just will.
you could have been a complete numpty like me and have ordered three days before their sale started....
😊😂😊
Twice. Lol.
I ordered on December 3rd, and as of today, December 10th, my order is still showing as unfulfilled.
There seems to be no rhyme or reason as to whether they ship my orders right away or wait.
I ordered from them during the 4th of July sale and received my order in a few days. It came so quickly, I had not even checked their site.
I ordered one 2 oz. bottle of flavor from them in August and had to call them after 13 days of hearing nothing.
I have to wonder why they debit my account for the full purchase price the day of my order if they are not able to fulfill it?
Other places that I order from debit my account for a small amount, like $1 and then don't charge my account until the order is fulfilled and has a shipping label. This way, if I am facing a time crunch for 1 or 2 items, I have the available funds to order elsewhere.
I ordered Nov 29th and it’ll be Monday before it’s delivered, that is if FedEx doesn’t “loose” the package, like I saw one patron post. River Supply put on the sale, they should have been prepared for the orders. Sure I could understand a few days, even a week, but almost two weeks to ship the package!?
The two vendors I ordered from for BF were Nic River and Chef's. Bear in mind that I LIVE IN CALIFORNIA and that Chef's is in Wales!!!! I got my Chef's order first - 3 days ago - and I *just* got notification that my Nic River order has been delivered. That's pretty damn BAD.
I would venture a guess that river supply received a lot more orders per employee.
Not really my point. Its about them anticipating and staffing to appropriate levels - this is not my first rodeo with these guys - I bought stuff from them 2 years ago on BF - same situation - got my stuff in 2 + weeks. Decided to give then another shot this year. Won't be doing it again.
If this situation were to occur at my job (no i am not going to say what industry i am in) people would lose their effing minds and rightfully so - we do produce products and must PLAN for and ANTICIPATE when demand will surge. This is very easy to predict. And the fact that its happened before shows they arent working on improving things. Ungood.
Damn I ordered on Monday and my pack was here on Saturday
Strange, but who knows how their system works. I’d assume they’re shipped in the order they’re received, but that’s obviously not it
I emailed earlier in the day after ordering on Black Friday and hearing nothing since the original confirmation mail. I ordered from LB after River Supply I received my LB shipment mid-week last week.
If it was going to be 10 days before the order was fullfilled I would have thought there would be some communication that they are experiencing delays. After reading some people ordering after and receiving their stuff I thought there maybe a decent chance something happened to my order, so I reached out.
Two weeks until product is outside of expectations though, since they post here they could have saved themselves time by communicating with mods saying there were slammed beyond capacity.
I can almost guarantee that River Supply got 10 times if not more orders than LB on Black Friday, so it’s not really fair to compare them directly. 10 days is a fairly long time, but that’s one of the downfalls if black Friday shopping
I just ordered nic salt from them on black friday and already got it. 100mg/ml PG Base Smooth Hit. Got it last wednesday.
How's the quality? I placed an order for Pur-nic Smooth Nic Salts yesterday. But I got some of the same stuff a year ago and it was good
I still prefer them, but they have gotten a little slower, but fedex is partially to blame. I ordered on the wednesday before black friday and it took 11 days for my order to get to me. They took 3 days to ship and then fedex dropped the ball somewhere in iowa and my package got hung up for a few days. Really wish they would use USPS or even UPS, fedex is almost as bad as DHL. I'm guessing there is some legal issue at play, but don't see how as many other vendors use them, maybe licensing issues? They need to step up their fulfillment game and worry less about their website because that is their biggest flaw at the moment.
I'm still trying to get my order from 11/17 worked out. Wife needed CBD, so couldn't wait for sales and she's ordered it from there before.
I received a partial shipping notice on the 19th, but without a tracking number. The 2oz oil soluble Cap Super Sweet is delayed. I emailed the inquiring about the tracking number and on the 21st they gave me a tracking number and the automated system sent me the same tracking FedEx number saying the SS shipped out.
FedEx delivered on the 24th, and no Super Sweet is in the box, and the wrong CBD was sent as full spectrum was ordered and broad spectrum was received.
Wife had already opened up the CBD before realizing, so that one is what it is, but I still have not recieved a response from them about the super sweet.
I get grief from the wife daily about the missing super sweet since, as she describes it, the mix I diluted and flavored tastes of "strawberry hemp that someone shoved up their ass" and she feels the super sweet would solve it.
I'm not even going to ask her how she knows what that tastes like....
I still haven’t received mine. Two weeks and counting.
Call them on monday
