Is Carolina extract worth the price over LB Nic or Nic River Nic?
submitted almost 6 years ago by Rotor_Tiller

Just curious here. I know for sure I hate PurNic, but have yet to try Liquid Barn's, Carolina Extract's, or Nic Rivers Chemnovatic Nic.

There is a flair for vendor reviews. Read the vendor review threads and make your decision on whether you think it’s worth it.

Carolina Extracts nicotine is probably the best you can get. I've heard nothing but good reviews about their nicotine. It is worth it if you really want some of the highest quality thats out on the market right now, but LB's nic isn't bad.

What don't you like about PurNic?

Purnic always arrives to me as a salmon pink color with a light pepper smell. It's gotten to the point where I have to make 1mg juice for it to not be too harsh for me.

Are you buying VG? I had a bad bottle of VG from the kit i bought from them when I first started mixing, switched to PG and it’s a huge difference in quality. They just don’t go through their VG nic as fast.

First bottle was pg, second two have been 50/50

I just bought two liters of 100mg VG from them, I think it's the purnic smooth salts. Only mixed my first bottle last night and did notice a slight discoloration to the product but I've been vaping on a new mint flavor I made and it's smooth as butter. Don't expect to have any problems with this as long as I store it properly (freezer).

PurNic went WAY downhill a while back. ChemNovatic is what you want from NR. It's like $5 more per liter I think but vastly superior. I think they brought on ChemNovatic so that they could sell their sludge-grade nic under PureNic lol. I'd argue it's similar to CXT.

Nicotine River doesn't carry ChemNovatic anymore they said they had trouble sourcing it. It's completely removed from their website now.

Can you elaborate? I just bought two liters and now you're scaring me haha

According to my calculations, the price difference works out to about 10 cents per 60ml bottle of finished juice...so I'd say even if I might not notice a difference, it's better to be safe than sorry.

I will say I've always been happy with LB premium nic and vg/pg line. So it's a good one-stop shop. Fast service too. You can also buy an eggplant for advocacy too 😎

Yeah wtf was up with those random veggies you can buy on their site? Haha

Right?! For the longest time I didnt know, and then I read somewhere that it's a donation that goes toward vape advocacy.

nope, not for me anyway. I've used liquid nicotine wholesalers for several years now. excellent nic at a great price

I've switched to Heartland Vapes Nic for my last four or five orders and it's been a solid choice.

Yes, it definitely is. It has longer shelf life than others too. It’s the only nic that I buy liters at a time.

All I've ever bought, all I will ever buy. (Carolina extract, that is =D)

I believe another distinction is that Carolina is American made, LB comes from India and somewhere else depending on what you get.

I'll probably decide on Carolina or Nude Nicotine then. I'm most interested in the american made nic.

Chemnovatic from vaperstek is about half the price of Carolina extracts. Carolina may be what some consider the "best" but after comparing the two it doesn't justify almost double the price.

Do a search for Nude Nicotine on here before you buy. I’ve never used them because they have such a bad rep (autobot even pops in to warn about them). There hasn’t been much negative about them lately, even in their vendor review, but I can’t say if they’ve stepped up their game or if most people know to avoid.

I use Wizard Labs. Always crystal clear, great shelf life, zero taste. I know WL is known as a newbie shop but I've never had reason to consider another source in almost five years.

Pur Nic also uses India sourced tobacco.

India..? Guess I'll be looking elsewhere next time I need to re-up. I'd prefer to buy American, mainly because I'm an American.

I have tried pur nic, nude nic, e cig express, and vapers tek and they were all pretty good but Carolina Extracts is the only nicotine I use now. I started vaping it 6 months ago and I will not buy anything else.

Do any of these companies sell WTA Nicotine?

I have bought nic from almost every source. Carolinaxtract is my favorite and the nic seems to be the most accurate, 3mg feels like it as opposed to some others. LNW I am new too but so far I am impressed, very clean nic but doesn't have the same punch as CXT. Liquid Barn has been good, if they have a sale I will order there nic. Vaperstek has always been very good nic, never got a bad bottle and keeps well over time if stored correctly.

I will no longer buy nic from Nicotine River / River supply, have gotten bad batches although there CS has corrected it. Nude Nicotine has good nic but not worth the delay or hassle when Vaperstek, liquidbarn and LNW are just as good and usually cheaper.

If money is no object than get Carolinaxtract, it is the best. If you still want good quality but save some dough then LNW, liquidbarn and Vaperstek will keep you happy.

Personally I've never had this issue with PurNic in PG.

Carolina extract is the only nic I use. It's crystal clear and flavorless. I mix at 12mg and 18mg all the time. There is zero peppery taste.

I personally only use vapers tek, I have a couple bottles of LB, but if I'm running low I've been buying more of the vapers tek. I did buy 5 liters my last order and mixed 3 of them with a litre of LB's and i cannot tell a difference in taste although it is pinker if that's a word(more pink) than Just VT's
