As title says, I'm getting deployed to the middle east and I'm not sure about availability of E-liquid. I have extremely limited packing space but I do know I can receive VG and PG from Amazon once I have boots on ground. I was thinking of creating flavor shots that I can add nic and vg/pg. So I guess I'm looking for some recipes that have long shelf lives. I'm also open to other suggestions you may have.
Edit: Thank you everyone that replied. I've had recipes that lose their flavor, especially lemonade recipes. So I was looking for something that kept it's flavor long term. I did not realize that only happens when added to pg/vg/nic. It seems embarrassingly obvious now with all your replies. I'm still pretty novice at DIY. I think the best option is to mix several 100ml amber bottles of flavoring only and not stress too much about it.
If you are just making bases, it's the same as keeping flavors in bottles. It will last indefinitely so long as nic isn't involved
Thank you, but I was looking more for recipes that can still taste good after long steep times. I have to make enough flavor base to last me a year.
You're intending to take a high nicotine liquid with a lot of flavour, that can be "watered" down with VG and PG from Amazon?
I've seen nicotine salts which are 250mg/ml, which might suit your needs. But it's a lot smoother, so may wish to alter VG/PG ratios for throat hit.
So in making a “flavour base” aka one shot, all you’re doing is mixing several concentrates together usually with sweetener if using and storing it until you add it to PG/VG & nic. Therefore, normal steep times don’t apply. Not till you add it to base and nic. It should last the same amount of time as a regular concentrate would last. For good measure though, I’d store it in tinted glass bottles if possible and keep it away from daylight and excess heat.
First off, thanks for your service u/fyshstix. Do you have any favorite recipes? If you do, you can make your own base and then make juice at your discretion. For example, let's say one of your favorite recipes is 11% total flavor. If you mixed up 110 mls of that recipe with only the flavors you could make a 1000 mls of that juice when you add VG and PG along with the nicotine. You wouldn't need to make the whole 1000 mls at once either. So steep time wouldn't have to play a part if you didn't want it to. Hope this explains things better for you.
Edit: typo
NicRiv, now River Supply ships USPS which is the only way you're gonna things to that part of the world. Also they have a military discount. I don't how much but It is worth asking for , they are a great vendor and fix things when they go wrong
You should def be able to have it shipped there. My guys and i didnt have any problems the last few deployments. If it doesnt get through customs in the original shipping, just send it to family back home and have them repackage it. Also take a fuckton a cigarettes in case (also to sell)
ATF has an option to mix any recipe as a flavor base. Just check the box and mix up a couple 100ml of your preferred recipe. I don’t have any experience with mixing nicotine into a flavor base, though. I’d imagine you’d have to pack your nicotine in a separate bottle.
Def want to stay away from any rice flavouring. It goes hella starchy. I know there’s other flavours like that as well but none coming to the top of my mind atm. Do you have any experience with mixing? If not, what are some commercial juices you’re preferential to, I can try to suggest some recipes similar to. I don’t know how much time you have before you deploy but If it’s what you’re gonna be limited to vaping I’d def want to make sure you have adequate time to sample it etc. Further, you can always vape unflavoured or just sweetened. It works in a pinch for a nic fix. Sometime I just do it anyways to have a palate cleanse from heavy sampling. Alternatively, I know there’s allot of mixers on here like myself that would be happy to mix up shots or even prepared juice and ship it to you as you need it. I’ve done it in the past for service persons and not had an issue but always best to check with your individual unit command to verify what you can and cannot get in. And most importantly, Stay safe out there. :)
