I'm thinking of storing my juices in syringes instead of bottles. With the hope that with no air in there they will stay fresh longer.

What do you juice experts think?

What makes a syringe a better option than an appropriately sized bottle?

Wouldn't it make more sense to keep the juice in a bottle that is sized appropriately for your batch? Oxidation from storage would be minimal and while the bottle is open you should have plenty of time to vape through it before it begins to oxidize meaningfully.

I was just thinking of all the half empty bottles I have around. I switch flavors a lot. So some of them have been sitting around for months.

Months, or years? Proper storage over a few months won't much matter.

Of course you could just make smaller batches as well.

The majority of them have been sitting around for 6 months or less. But there are a few that are more than a year old. It's not because I don't like the juice. It's just that I switch flavors so much that it takes a long time to go through a bottle.

first off - always remember to shake bottles vigorously before opening.

But - to be honest you're better off getting smaller bottles and pouring your batches into those from the start. I have a similar issue - i change flavours a lot. If you're going to put a flavour away for a while and the bottle is half full, shake the hell out of it and pour it in to a smaller bottle. Syringes really aren't useful for storage.

I think you are chasing a unicorn and wasting your time. Think of them as half full. Best to you.

I think your idea has merit it would expose them to less oxygen but there are other implications as well like having a ton of syringes that need to be labeled and stored somewhere which is awkward kind of with there shape. Really the biggest issue with that idea is there isnt really a shelf life for flavors anyways. Flavors will last for a long time when stored correctly and I know of people that have 5 or 6 year old flavors that they still use with no issues. I wouldnt bother especially now that most mix by weight. Side note if you have 1 or 2 flavors that you know are prone to fading relatively quickly and you dont use very often maybe just store those few in some syringes. Good luck with whatever you decide!

You could also try using argon to put a blanket over the juice. Wine preserver. I use it on long steeps.

Oh Geezus! Wait until the Drive by media gets a picture of a guy loading his Juul with a 30ml syringe. Money Shot!!! Breaking News! Man injects his Juul!

Lol! Don't care for the Juul myself. Box mods for me. I take your point though. I don't want to be responsible for drawing anymore negative attention to vaping than there unfortunately already is.

Terrible idea, sorry. I don't know why people even have syringes anymore, scales are cheap as fuck these days. The rubber pusher in syringes loose elasticity alarmingly quick. They are intended for singular usage afterall. The only justified use of syringes these days are to fill carts with cannabis concentrates. If you can afford DIY you can afford an array of appropriately sized dropper bottles for ease of use and storage.

Also think it's a terrible idea. The juice is going to absorb the taste of the rubber stopper.

I agree I think you would be better off with smaller batches, I have had to do that myself, I usually will make a 20-50 ml batch, if I vape all of that I will increase it, I totally understand that it can get away from you and its exciting to make new juices, one other option is to sell or give the juices that you are finished with to other people, this for me has been a lot of fun and has gotten me quite a few customers, it also ensures that they dont go bad, and if they like them, will usually come back and want to buy some :D I hope this helps and I wish you the best of luck regardless of what you decide to do, and remember to have fun and stay safe :D Happy vaping

syringes are plastic, plastic is not impermeable to air. so i don't think it will help, not to add that syringes are not suitable for long time storage. Best thing you could do (i think) is store the bottles in a fridge. Or if you want to go overboard, devide bigger bottels out over 10ml bottles so you only mess up one if stored incorrectly.

but whatever you do don't freeze them, that is not good for flavours.

There are glass and stainless steel syringes, if you're willing to spend $20-$30 per syringe

yea ofcours you do, but... i kind of left them out thinking not a lot of people were gonna spend that kind of money if they have more that 10+ flavours.

But yea technically speaking those would be an option, but in that case i would go for glass bottels.

Press the bottle until it has no more air? Considering your bottles are not glass ofc
