My title basically said it all. I've only ever made a post or two here, but I lurk here quite often.
The amount of knowledge of the users in this sub is the most I've seen on any vaping/juice related.
You guys have created the best guides and lists that are so incredibly useful.
This sub and all the great info on it is what helped me to get confident enough to go DIY only in 2017 and onward.
Everybody always seems to be very respectful and helpful to the users that come on the board and ask how they can get started with diy.
I've, at least, never seen anyone act rude to a question about how to get started, even though I'm sure that question has been asked on this sub almost constantly.
Also, I trust many of the users on here with their product reviews and store recommendations.
Basically, if I have to make a decision about diy then I come here and use the search function and then there's basically diy textbook to search through.
I really feel like the users on here should be commended for running a really great community that treats pretty much everybody with respect.
I usually use the search function rather than starting a post, but new visitors might not realize that but they are answered to nicely, which isn't the norm on other subs imo.
It looks like more and more people are coming to this sub for help with diy as the future is uncertain in some areas of vaping and you all have set up a great environment to really help.
I think a lot of people on here really do make a difference in how they treat and educate other users.
Basically you're all awesome, this sub itself is awesome and the knowledge base that has been created and expanded over many years is awesome, too. I rate this sub a 510 out of 510.
I'm glad you are enjoying yourself here. There really is an endless wealth of knowledge here, both in the backlogs and in comment sections. It's nice to see people like you that find appreciation and success thanks to the countless hours spent by countless people documenting things that help others. Keep mixing, friend.
I'm so grateful for this sub as a resource, I've def gotten myself into a new hobby and all my friends already want me to mix them something new 🤘
Me too! Everyone I have talked to on discord is very courteous and helpful, regardless of how newbie or silly my questions were. Hats off to all the admins also
I get my first shipment of flavors today in the mail to mix up! I can't wait!!!
Ayyy what recipe you planning on mixing first?
I have no idea what Im doing so I bought a couple different vanilla flavors, and im just gonna go for it. One is a creamy vanilla, and one is fried icecream. I might mix them to together. Im aiming for a simple vanilla/custard profile. I buy unflavored juice from vapor vapes so I decided to grab a couple of their flavors to try. It was $7 for a 5 pack of 5ml bottles.(each 5ml bottle makes 50ml of finished product) So i doubled up on the vanilla and fried icecream ones. Then i got a cherry slush flavor too.
Amen. This sub has been an extremely valuable resource for me since I started mixing a few years back. I've never even had to make a post, and I very rarely comment. If you use the search bar and have just a little bit of patience then odds are the information you are seeking is out there and will be found. That and simply sorting by new every few days keeps me up to date and constantly finding new and interesting stuff.
Since the flavor ban stuff started, this sub has become increasingly kind. Before the flavor ban though... that was a toxic and elitist subreddit in my opinion. To the extent that beginners were usually afraid to post here.
I too have only started mixing recently. This sub has been indisputably the most helpful and well organized place for newbies. The side bar has everything you need. People generally respond to questions so you can search keywords and easily find an answer to practically any question you could think of. The first juice I wanted to mix was a spicy rootbeer with wintergreen. Imagine my surprise when a board veteran had already worked on that exact project! Next I need to make a blueberry limeade, but I'm still too inexperienced to get the flavor down right. I'm sure if I asked someone would be able to help me. it's a great community.
