Hello
So, the title is pretty informative - what do you guys do to a recipe to make it more suitable for MTL use?
I usually accent 2-3 main flavor and crank up the total flavor by 20-30%. But I heard a lot of people just double all the concentrates...
What say you?
I've been strictly mixing with salt nics for a long time now, people say you need extra flavoring.. it's truly not the case. All that's gonna happen is you're gonna mute flavors by adding to much concentrate to your eliquid. I just did a plain old vanilla ice cream at 10% and it tasted better than half of the mixes I was jacking my concentrate percentages up for. Experiment, do what works for you. Just because this person is mixing this kind and this kind of flavoring and loves it, doesn't mean you will. It's subjective brother. Half these people don't even know what subjective means.

Try recipe as written, adjust afterwards based on how it tasted.
It may not need adjustment at all. It depends on exact details.
Im a mtl vapor and on avg flavors have to be increased 1 to 2 %. Flavors are notoriously muted in the tanks we use to mtl. In the end you will have to tweek any recipe you see in the vaping community because virtually none of them deal with mtl.
I'm mtl probably 50% of the time and I've had to adjust zero recipes. Stop buying shitty gear would be a step in the right direction.
And on the other side of the coin I almost always increase my MTL recipes somewhere between 20-50%. I MTL on all sorts of MTL rebuildables and also the Zenith and Zlide. But hey - if we were all the same, with the same preferences, the world would be a boring place :).
I do MTL in a few dwarvs and sometimes an Integra. Flavour is better than some RDAs lol. Even from the mass produced stuff, there are plenty of good RTAs nowadays like the Precisio, The Gata that came out etc. If you are stuck to a MTL tank from 5 years ago it's your problem, not that the flavours need increase.
Depends. Some recipes and flavors have a stronger punch than others. Sometimes doubling/pushing the recipe high will just dilute flavors. Also depends on your pod. I'm running 5% CAP Sweet Mango in my Smoant Pasito with the RBA head with a MTL clapton coil in it. It's light, but makes it easy to hit, and I still get the flavor. Some recipes in the same pod I've run higher than 10% in flavor.
>dilute flavors
I think you mean mute flavors? 5% CAP Sweet Mango isn't that high at all as a solo flavor or even as a primary flavor in a mix for DTL.
You can not just double it all up to convert from DTL to MTL and expect it to work. Doubling is going to change how it tastes and vapes, so you will have to rework the entire recipe as funny things can happen at high percentages. It's going to depend on the flavorings used. Some flavorings can become super harsh to vape others can start to mute or overpower each other. Some become vegetal or floral others become earthy or chalky.
What's the logic behind it anyway? MTL uses less power and the coils are smaller with less surface area so less eliquid is vaporized at once. I suppose doubling the flavorings is supposed to make up for that?
Adapting a recipe for MTL to me mostly means to adjust the PG/VG ratio down to 50/50.

I'm guessing the rest of your message for OP, but yes, thanks for the correction. Although for many 5% of even a strong (not potent in %) flavor like CAP Sweet Mango can be far too low for MTL (and I meant MTL).
I will agree that im tired of fooling around with this bezerker trying to get better flavor out of it. I got no problem spending big bux on better equipment but in the past when ive done it the only thing i get out of spending more cash is just a lower bank account. Ill try these tanks you suggest if i can find them. MTL tanks are like an endangered species which i dont understand.
They're not endangered in the high end realm. China produces for masses. Like I said don't have to spend the big bucks. Buy a bunch of clones and figure out what works best for you. Sell what you don't like on classifieds and then upgrade to the authentic when you can afford it.
