After this ridiculous ejuice ban in MA, I had no choice but to start making my own. I'll admit; I absolutely dreaded the idea of it because it seemed so complicated. And now that I've made it, I feel so stupid for not having done it sooner.
Anyways, I made 3 bottles with these flavors: Strawberry Banana (LNW), Cappuccino (LNW), and Vanilla Ice Cream (LNW). I also bought LNW's starter kit cause it was cheap and convenient, but I'll probably buy the ingredients separately in the future from now on.
I read that you should at least wait a few days for it to steep before vaping it, but I'm running very low at the moment so I vaped it about an hour after I made it. In spite of that, it still tastes pretty good.
So my question: is the taste really that much better if I let it steep longer? I'm probably going to keep vaping the Vanilla flavor as it tastes the best right now, but I'm going to let the other two steep for at least a week before I do. Has anyone made a comparison on the flavor between immediately vaping it and letting it steep for at least a few days to weeks?

i am familiar with that feeling :) Welcome to a larger world :)
It depends on the flavor. You won't find a lot of people using flavors from LNW. We usually discourage that
Isnt it that single flavor mixes can usually be Shake n Vaped? From what I've seen its usually the things related to creams (custards, ice cream, whipped cream, vanilla swirl) that need the longer steep times, correct?
Yeah, I noticed that there weren't many, if not any, recipes for LNW flavors, so I did kinda of go into it blindly. Reason for that was because, again, it was just convenient. Is there a reason why? Are the flavors not good?
Correct. They aren't that great.
Research first, buy after.
> So my question: is the taste really that much better if I let it steep longer?
YES - yes yes yes. For some juices they are basically unvapable before a steep but even with ones that are "shake and vapes", a little steep improves them a great deal.
It does vary - as a rule fruits steep fast, cremes slower, etc. But steeping does make a big difference.
Get yourself a good lttle single coil flavour RDA and try your juices after an hour, a day, 3 days and a week. you'll learn pretty quick which ones need longer steeps and how to tell if a juice is pretty much done steeping or not. You'll be quite surprised -often flavours will vanish, then magically reappear a few days later.
I do have some mixes which are basically fine after a day or so, but most benefit from a bit of a steep at least, and some absolutely must have a steep or they're horrible - after they steep they're liquid gold.
I'm vaping one of the ejuices I made not too long ago, and with each hit, the taste is becoming slightly stronger and better. The "liquid gold" description is starting to make much more sense haha
I'm definitely gonna steep them for at least a week from now on.
It's rarely a bad idea :) Although it's still a good idea to taste it as it steeps the first time you mix something new - just to get a feel for how it steeps. The juices can do some shocking things :)
I do have some genuine shake and vapes, where by tomorrow morning they're about as good as they get. But most benefit from a steep, even most 'shake and vapes' are better.
Sounds like you're on the right track! - it just keeps getting better the more you do :)
Congrats! I've never shopped at LNW so I don't know about their flavors. I suggest finding a couple recipes that look good to you. Get the flavors for em, and make them. I'd also advise you to get a scale if you haven't already.
I remember when this was all new to me. It was exciting times. If you plan on creating your own mixes, you need to get to know you flavors individually. It takes time, practice, and sometimes even luck to create something special. For now, trust the mixing veterans and follow their recipes.
LNW*, but yeah, another user on here told me that their flavors aren't very good.
As for recipes, I definitely don't plan on mixing any flavors myself anytime soon. I've read how disgusting some of the concoctions can come out, and it usually ends up with a lot of wasted product. And for the scale, I bought the one on LNW, and it's been good for me so far.
One of the recipes I'm gonna try is the 321 Creme Brulee ( https://alltheflavors.com/recipes/97165#3_2_1_creme_brulee_by_tootall ). It's one of the FOTW in this subreddit, and who doesn't love a good 'ol Creme Brulee. ;)
Steeping depends and most of what people are saying is spot on. I find spices, coffees, and creams take longer to mature. Fruits are usually pretty fast. Some fruits need some time to mellow.
I have a recipe that I really like. It is very good right off. But let it steep for 2 weeks and the Pineapple blends into the mix a lot better and the Strawberry and cream starts to really come in. It goes from very good to flat out delicious. I have had several people try it and they all love it. It has 9 flavors and took me over a year to perfect. It is good without the Pomegranate too.
I guess I am just too cheap. After buying 6 bottles of retail juice and not finding any that I really liked I just dove in head first. I use syringes to mix mine. I have better repeatability with them. I think that's just personal preference too.
I mix my VG PG and NIC in 1000ml batches.
I used LNW at first and could not get any mixes to come up very good some were decent but not Excellent.
