#Black Friday
It’s almost that time again. And if you haven’t started DIY yet, this will be a great time to jump in and do your research well before the sales are announced. And, of course, if you already DIY you probably like saving money, which means you should also be preparing to extract as much savings from the upcoming sales as possible.
In a recent contest “Missing One Flavor” was the winner for new User Flair. We’re always missing one flavor, no matter how many we get. Sales can’t save us from this curse but they can add a plethora of new options if you have a list of flavors you “need” for all those recipes that have piqued the interest of your palate. You’ve got 25 days to make that list... Here are some resources that might help:
> A lot of great advice on things to consider before making your first order, many of which apply to subsequent orders, as well.
> If you don't already have a list of recipe you want to try, this post will help you find some.
> Recipes that contain just a few flavors.
> If you trust /u/AlfredPudding's palate, this is a giant list of flavors that he thinks are worth getting. Don't buy them all at once but he assures you that if it's on this list, it's worth having.
>Because anything less than the best is a felony.
#Highlights from Last Week
-
/u/TeslaDelMar got himself stickied with the announcement of Single Flavor Giveaways on the DIY Discord. For those who have yet to join the cult of Discord, here’s what it looks like. A simple click and 24hrs later the helpful little single-purpose bot spits out the name of a lucky winner.
-
/u/SuspiciouslyEasy announced the news that Real Flavors was bought by the Canadian vendor DIY Flavors. Great news for those who were bummed when Real Flavors announced they were shutting down a few weeks ago.
-
/u/EdibleMalfunction gave us a heads up about One on One offering up FREE Oneshots for Halloween (one day only, unfortunately) and /u/oneononeflavors even created a Reddit account to comment in the thread--Nice of them to join us!
-
/u/juthinc tackled an enigmatic topic for Tutorial Tuesday: Inspiration. > Many mixers speak of inspiration for recipes as mysterious, mystical, or something in between. But the truth is there are a few basic clusters of types of inspirations.
-
/u/dane_law_95 asked for Ways of Implementing Cactus, that strange flavor/additive that somehow made it to the top of the most recent First Order Flavors (exactly where it doesn’t belong) It’s one of those flavors that really highlights the subjectivity of our palates, with some people dismissing it outright and others suggesting caution and moderation (and a few weirdos that would pair it with anything)
-
/u/ID10-T provided us with a breakdown/comparison of Liquid Barn’s Lava Cake before and after Reformulation.
#Throwback Highlight
- /u/MasterBeernuts treatise on adding juiciness to a mix

Alfred's list still has Lava Cake on it.
Bruh I'm back and I finally found a deep fried plantain flavour. I need to get a new coil and try it now that 10mls has cured for a week
Oh look, dollar store /u/abdada is back!
I kid, I kid. That's just a little payback for your absenteeism.
Missed you, mane <3
Your my hero man and thanks to Wayne, you, and emily, I got 2000 ml of LB Pg/VG, 240 ml nicotine, 60 bottles, and 70 of your highest rated flavors on their way to me from all those episodes of noted. I will be contacting you as soon as I painstakingly figure out how to make the perfect cheesecake vape so that you can experience firsthand the fruits of your labor! Lucky you. Thanks again for all that you and the diy or die crew have done.
I hope INW Yes We Cheesecake is one of those flavors.
Yup, that, cheesecake graham, new york cheesecake, cream cheese icing, and hangsens Italian cream which is my first idea on how to give it an authentic taste and mouthfeel. Quick question, have you tried VT new chocolate, chocolate custard, or chocolate milk? Cannot find any info on them anywhere.

I was confused until I saw its' /u/oneoneoneflavors who wrote that comment.
