Coffee Craving
submitted almost 6 years ago by ShillTheAlmighty

So I've been craving a coffee vape for a while. I've got INW Coffee, TFA Irish Cream, TFA Butterscotch as well as some VBIC/Bavarian Cream/Sweet Cream/Marshmallow, etc. Can't find much info about INW coffee. Ordered it on a whim a year or so ago. Is it too shitty to bother trying to work with and I should just order better flavors, or do I have a chance to whip something passable up tonight?

Edit: after some single flavor testing and some trial and error, my first attempt actually turned out much better than I thought. It still has that slight hint of burnt popcorn flavor after a few hits, but it's already getting me where I want to go. Turns my cotton black, though.

1.5% INW Coffee

1% INW Shisha Vanilla

0.75% TFA Sweet Cream

0.5% FLV Cream

0.5% TFA Vanilla Swirl

1% TFA Marshmallow

I'll keep working on it because it's missing... Something. Maybe some CAP SS would help. Might lower the coffee and add more vanilla to see where it goes.

Otherwise there are alright - and by alright, I really mean alright, such as CAP Cappuccino V2, VT Caffe Latte and I have heard, but not confirmed that FlavorMonks Divine Mocha should also be alright.

Coffee vapes DIY style are hard to come by. As our Lord Saviour u/ID10-T always says: It's either burnt popcorn or skunk spray.

Although I do find a mixture of CAP Cappuccino V2 around 3% with VT Arabica Coffee 0.5% an alright-ish base. You will need to add in some good creams and which ever spices and so forth that you'll desire, as it really just is a base.

VT Arabica isn’t skunk spray or burnt popcorn, it’s just dirty, like campfire coffee that you didn’t get all the grounds out of. It’s the one I most recommend if you just have to have a plain coffee flavor with no cream or caramel or or tobacco or anything else. WF Brazilian is another one without those nightmare off notes, but it’s like gas station coffee that’s been on the warmer for way way too long. In the end though, I say to hell with coffee vapes, just drink your damn coffee like a normal person and create a vape that pairs beautifully with it.

INW Kawa (Coffee) is one of the better ones however the chances of you throwing together a decent coffee vape in the next couple hours are slim to none.

That's fair. I didn't know Kawa and Coffee were the same concentrate. Oh well. I'll start testing and see where it gets me.

Coffee flavors are just hard to work with especially if you don't have much experience with them. Anything you make will likely fair better with a little steep time so gotta factor that in also.

Purilam caramel coffee with sweet cream is the best coffee flavor I've worked with so far.

INW coffee/Kawa is one of the decent coffee flavors on the list of acceptable coffees. Considering the fact that only very few coffees even make it on that list this means something. I personally like FA Espresso. I know that some get the burnt popcorn taste from it but others consider it one of the best coffee flavors there are. I don't get burnt popcorn when I'm using it below 1%, say 0.5% to 0. 75%.

Adapting your recipe I'd lower Kawa to 0.75% or 1% and up one of the Creams. Also I'd try eliminate either the Shisha Vanilla or the Vanilla Swirl (both are creamy vanillas) and up the one I keep to 1%, probably 1.25% if it's the Swirl.

The highest rated coffee recipe on ELR (from Lars) holds it's top position since a couple of years now. He used FA Espresso but it should work with INW Kawa too.

It's a mix of Espresso, a tiny bit of Tiramisu, Fresh Cream, Vienna Cream, Marshmallow (I think) and Vanilla Classic.

Da Momma (Alisa on ELR) has created some of the best coffee recipes I have come across. Check them out. They may give you some inspiration.

The only coffee flavor I have is FA Espresso Creme. If you stay about 1% and let it steep for a while to get rid of the horse pee note, it can be pretty nice.

The best I came up with for it is this recipe: https://alltheflavors.com/recipes/share/b46d7060-045e-425b-a8f7-aa95447b72c1

my personal favorite coffee would use a lot what you have here but sub the INW coffee with FA cappuccino and replace tfa sweet cream and flv cream with fw french vanilla.

you can play around with these to your personal taste:

cap irish cream 3%

fa cappuccino 2%

fw french vanilla 2%

tfa vanilla swirl 2%

cap super sweet 1%

I've avoided all irish cream flavors so far because the real irish cream contains whiskey and I can't stand the taste of whiskey. Do you taste it in your irish cream? Also I was told that FA irish cream should be good...true?

I don't taste a whiskey note, to me it's more of a dense cream to add to the cappuccino that plays well. I haven't experimented with FA irish cream so I wouldn't have any good info on it.

TPA Caramel Cappuccino is a good ice coffee.

0.3% in Custard NOW. Almost too easy and tastes great.

When I had coffee juice, it tasted good but smelled really bad, so I stopped using it..

Ty, that's really helpful. I'll definitely give it a go if the whiskey taste doesn't come through. Cheers.
