Happy Vaping!
Going through a bunch of a coffee tobacco recipe I threw together before first light
I also threw together a couple bottles of wintermint cream about 2 weeks ago and started in on that yesterday.
Haven’t mixed wintermint cream in awhile. Gonna have to do that soon!
It might not have been my very best call given the chilly weather lately but it is tasty.
That wintermint cream looks pretty good and I have all the ingredients, going to give it a shot!
I ran out of Cinnamon Burn Victim and didn't want to change that cotton so I dug out an old bottle of an experiment that I didn't think was worth sharing: 3% FLV Vanilla Pudding, 2% FLV Cinnamon Crunch, 1% FLV Cream. It's hitting the same spot, something warm and rich that goes well with coffee on a cold rainy morning.
In the pod thing, still going through my Caliburn Berries & Cream, waiting to see if 0.75% CAP Super Sweet will ruin my pod before I get through 30ml (so far so good) and an imperfect attempt at a Honeysuckle-Almond blend.
Did you pick up more VBIC or are you still using your original bottle? If you are still using the original bottle, are you still getting that sour note you were talking about?
Still using the original bottle. I did pick up more VBIC, but didn't bother to mix more Caliburn Berries & Cream with it because Coop said it's supposed to taste like that. I don't recall that from either Forest Fruit (though it is a little twangy) or CAP VBIC so it has to be something with the way the two are interacting. Regardless, I found it a little off-putting at first, but now its funkiness has grown on me.
Strap On with 1% (SC) Blackberry. This is probably the 50th strap on mix I’ve tried, Definitely the best, and will be sticking around as an adv for me. This blackberry is meant to be in strap on.
Big Black Strap On. Nice.
Perfect. I love what tfa dragonfruit does for strap on so Next iteration I’ll be adding it. Depending on how well it works here, “Draggin’ my Big black strap on” may be the final recipe. Just need to find a good image for it.
Actually been vaping my first ever batch of DIY. No frills, basic Max VG Strawberry.
Ordered up a DIY kit from Heartland a few weeks ago after lurking this sub for a bit and finally got time to do some mixing this past weekend. Steeped away in my desk for a few days and I opened her up yesterday. The first thing I was taken by was how clean it tasted, and I'm now kind of anxious to start getting more experimental with my mixes.
Congrats on your first DIY! I’m looking for a good, reputable place to buy my starter kit or ingredients and hardware. What do you suggest?
Personally I would skip the starter kit and just kinda build what you want. River supply co (formerly nicotene river) is a good 1 stop option (nic, vg/pg, concentrates, bottles ect), and they have seemingly the best price per ml for smaller bottles of concentrates (they offer at 15ml as opposed to 10ml elsewhere). Liquid barn is another choice for a 1 stop (although they only offer their brand of concentrates as well as 1 shots) and ship faster than river supply in my limited experience. Bull city flavors is where I go for concentrates, lightning fast processing (same day shipped as ordered for my 3 orders placed) and have a great selection of flavors. Im sure there are a couple more options out there but these are the 3 I have experience dealing with.
> Congrats on your first DIY! I’m looking for a good, reputable place to buy my starter kit or ingredients and hardware. What do you suggest?
So far I've only ordered my ingredients from Heartland Vapes. Quick shipping, and plenty of documentation regarding where everything was sourced from. They appear reputable from what I have read online, and I have no complaints.
Maybe throw in a couple of bucks for an upgrade to higher quality nicotine, as there's a slight tobacco aftertaste with their house NIC (IMHO) that may bother some folks. Didn't bother me at all.
You'll get enough syringes and mixing bottles to make a few batches, but once you really want to start experimenting you'll want to invest in more, a couple of beakers and pipettes and additional ingredients.
I will say this, it's a pretty fun and fulfilling hobby/diversion.
Just got a new order of flavors in, currently vaping:
Prickly Victory (how have I not had CAP Sweet Guava until now?)
Backwoods Lemonade (same question, but in regards to FA Forest Fruit)
Custard NOW (yep, INW Custard is pretty darn good)
So far this week I have only used Rin’s Blueberry Ice cream and my own blackcurrant melon
Currently vaping on Keep It 100 - Blue Slush Remix in my C4, amazing Blue Razz flavour and a spot on clone I do say so myself.
I decided to try out Blueberry Lemonade in my newly built Pasito RBA. It tastes amazing and is a perfect pod recipe honestly.
This is the second iteration of my own recipe and it turned out pretty good. First version had a bit too much cantaloupe and coconut for what I was going for, this one worked better. Using 8 ingredients was pushing it but they all had a purpose in what i was trying to make.
A Walk in the Woods v1.1
-
FA Forest Fruit @ 3%
-
TPA Cantaloupe @ 0.75%
-
FA Pear @ 0.75%
-
FLV Sweet Coconut @ 0.5%
-
TPA Vanilla Bean Ice Cream @ 3%
-
OoO Cream (milky undertone) @ 2%
-
TPA Whipped Cream @ 1.2%
-
INW Shisha Vanilla @ 0.75%
Steep 1 week
Copy/paste from my elr post
My idea behind this was to have a vibrant and strong fruit on top of a thick cream and a rounded out vanilla tone. I started with forest fruit as my top note and tried to add a bit of juciness with the pear. Cantaloupe came in for body and sweetness and coconut rounded this out with a whisp at the end to lead into the cream base. Keeping with the vanilla theme I built on top of vanilla bean ice cream and reinforced with shisha vanilla. Adding OoO cream gave me additional thickness without using a custard and the whipped cream is a little fluff on top.
Trying a few more variants of my cherry elderflower recipe, mostly trying different blueberries (FW, RFSC, and GL specifically) although I also have a variant with more florals, and tfa cherry blossom rather than the cherry blossom tea the others used. (I've been going through a lot of cherry blossom tea with all the variants I've been testing, and would prefer not reupping.
Also a wintergreen blueberry blend in my pod system.
Any hope of talking you into sharing that wintergreen blueberry?
Maybe next month. Once I have it where I want it. Still nnot there yet. Probably gonna add some cherry. Maybe pomegranate. I think I may have fogured out the fruit flavor certs profile...
I've only been just starting on the idea, and it wasn't really instant success.
I'll probably simplify it some, to something like:
4% FW Extreme Ice
3% GL Cherry
2% GL Wild Blueberry
1% FW Spearmint
...and see how it works with 2.5% stevia.
Made a “prickly red victory”. Subbed in TFA Strawberry Ripe since my guava won’t be here until Friday. Magnificent vape.
Anyone want to give my juicy grapefruit recipe a try? I've recently threw it together and can't put it down. It's so damn juicy.
- FW Ruby Red Grapefruit (Natural): 3.75%
- Flv Pink Guava: 0.5%
- TFA Citrus Punch: 1%
- FW Blood Orange (Natural): 0.75%
- Inw Cactus: 0.25%
*and yes I know it's a tad out of season, but who really vapes only flavors that only coincide with the current season.
I am getting over a cold and can hardly taste/smell. So I am vaping a flavor I thought I would like, but it’s just okay. Southern Sweet Tea
u/mlNikon s Strawberry Cake 3 2 1 on ATF https://alltheflavors.com/recipes/118461#strawberry_cake_3_2_1_by_mlnikon Except i didn't have any VT Vanilla Buttercream Frosting so i just threw in 1% Cap VC instead as it was the only vanilla I had. Works well though I think. Also searching through ATF looking for recipes that could be stripped back to u/ID10-T s simple 1 2 3 form factor as 1) I like the minimalist approach and in general it tends to work, 2) its cost effective and 3) 99.9% of the time I haven't got all the necessary ingredients anyway so stripping a recipe down to 3 base elements is the practical solution to me. An example is Jazzy_girls Lemon Cake https://alltheflavors.com/recipes/106186#lemon_cake_by_jazzy_girl which Im sure is an absolutely awesome recipe but I literally only had 3 of the 7 flavours required so stripped it down and very slightly modded it to Inw Lemon Cake 3%, Cap LMP 2%, FA Lemon Sicily 1% which becomes to me a nice simple little 1 2 3 Lemon Cake. So thanks Jazzy_girl and I promise to mix your whole recipe some day :)
Nice, hope you like it. You might want to also check out Slow Deicide if you like strawberry and creams.
Inspired by something I found in the eliquid recipes site since I needed something to try out honeydew melon
Honeydew Melon CAP 2%
Juicy Peach CAP 2.5%
Boysenberry FLV 2%
Harvest Berry CAP 2.5%
Cactus INW 1%
Was terrible for the first few days . Honeydew and peach stuck out the most after three days and now a week later I'm getting mostly boysenberry and harvest Berry notes.
When I have another go at mixing this I'll probably reduce the boysenberry to 1% and maybe boost the honeydew melon by half a percent.
been playing around with a chilly cranapple recipe, inspired by Loaded E-Liquid's cranapple.
2.5% TPA Cranberry
2% FA Fuji
0.5% INW Cactus
0.5% FA Pomegranate
1% FA Polar Blast
1% WS-23
0.25% CAP Super Sweet
0.5% EM
Trying to figure out a good balance of sweetener, although the recipe itself is relatively sweet as-is. Been messing with adding Cactus and Pomegranate for texture and subtle notes, and I think they synergize well with the Fuji/Cranberry base. I'm a big sucker for cold mixes and might actually bump up the cooling agents for the next batch I mix.
Currently vaping a strawberry fruit by the foot recipe I've been working out. I'm sure theres a million recipes for this type of flavor but any criticism would be appreciated.
I mix at 70%vg 30%pg 3mg nic. Just for insight.
Tfa. strawberry ripe. 2% Cap. Sweet strawberry. 3% Wonder flavors. strawberry gummy candy. 0.6% Tfa. Dragon fruit. 1% Tfa sweetener. 0.5%
Not sure if I should follow a certain format, as I'm new to reddit. My apologies if my post is sloppy.
So if you put a dash before your flavor/company/percentage line you get a bullet point. If you double space after sentences you get a new line. If you double asterisk before and after a word (no space between word and asterisk) it will bold it. So you can go from TPA Strawberry Ripe 3% INW Shisha vanilla 2% to
-
TPA Strawberry Ripe 3%
-
INW Shiaha Vanilla 2%
Its a tad easier to read at a glance.
All Together Cereal - Kellogg's came out with this. Recipe is a work in progress. Currently Corn Flakes, Fruit Loops, Frosted Flakes, Rice Krispies. Missing representation of Raisin Bran and Frosted Mini Wheats.
Simply Orange Current ADV, cant get enough of this stuff atm.
Was also experimenting with a peach/lychee/apricot mix
- 3% TPA Juicy Peach DX
- 2% TW Lychee
- 1% TPA Apricot
- 1% TPA Coconut Extra.
Strangely SnV i'm getting no real peach coming though, its just a really creamy coconut. Not bad at all but not in the slightest what I was going for, currently steeping to see how it changes.
Peach is weird, you can get a good peach flavor with FA White Peach. The DX version of TFA Peach Juicy I'm not so sure. If you have a chance get you TFA Jackfruit. It is a bit bitter but tames a peach but adds a bitterness that is welcome with mango
I'm not sure i'd like the bitter, I'm *very* sensitive to bitter, I cant stand grapefruit but yet can happily eat a lemon (as a kid I used to eat everyone's lemon slices out of their drinks). I'll keep a look out for white peach though thanks.
Honestly atm i'm not impressed with either the peach or apricot, even at a 10% single flavour tester I found the peach bland, and the apricot seems to develop a real unpleasent taste after a couple of days. This is my second attempt to find something usable for it and it seems to have done the same.
Unbelievably I have taken INW Shisha Strawberry as high as 6% + 1% INW Cactus and got a very jammy strawberry that is really awesome, when I find the time I will credit the guy that made me very happy with this single flavor
So, I tried this Rubicon Drink and wanted to vape it. It is black cherry and raspberry.
This is my first go at the profile.
- FA Fuji @ 1.5%
- FA Pear @ 0.75%
- TPA Dark Cherry @ 2%
- INW Raspberry @ 0.25%
- TPA Raspberry Sweet @ 1.5%
- TPA Pomegranate @ 3%
- VT Sherbet @ 0.5%
- CAP Jelly Candy @ 0.5%
- INW Cactus @ 0.25%
- CAP Cucumber @ 0.25%
- WS-23 @ 0.35% -CAP SS @ 0.15%
So, we have an FA Fuji and Pear base that I've seen a lot. Works well as the base for a fruit juice. I chose the TPA pomegranate as I wanted pomegranate to add complexity. TPA Dark Cherry is spot on to the Rubicon drink. I went for the INW raspberry to heighten the TPA raspberry sweet. The VT sherbet is for the soda water type fizz. Cap Cucumber and INW Cactus for maximum wetness. I through CAP Jelly Candy in there to add a slightly denser mouth feel.
My first stab at this, and it is pretty tasty. Definitely close to the drink. If a little too forward on the cherry. The raspberry gets slightly lost. I'm going to tweak the pomegranate and dark cherry for a better balance.
So it all started with this from u/xGRANITEx . It sounded amazing but I didn't have all the flavors at the time so I substituted in some other fruits. Then I tried to make it again today and realized my Pink Guava was one of the things that got busted during the move to Japan and I don't have any anymore, so I made another substitution.
