Hey guys. So my mates and I are new to DIY but one of my mates already ordered concentrates to make his own recipe. One problem: the thing he wants to make has not been developed as an e liquid or at least not been shared on all the flavours.
He wants to go for a mildly creamy, chocolate, coffee and hazelnut biscotti.
The concentrates he ordered was CAP cuppajoe, FA hazelnut, Flav Deutsch chocolate, tfa Cookie. I have bavarian cream and vienna cream at my disposal.
Wanna know what else we should try and add to this or should we try and work with what we got? I do have marshmallow and i do have cotton candy if needed. Supersweet as well. Please go easy guys, we are 3 noobs trying to contribute and innovate within the south African vaping community. Much love to the rest of you DIYers :)
Your buddy has got an uphill battle in front of him. I don't do coffee on any level of my life since I tried it on International Day in the 6th grade. But I hear he better be ready for the taste of burning tires. Never heard of anyone using TFA Cookie either. On a positive note I think Wonder Flavors has an acceptable coffee type flavor out now. Believe it's named Brazilian Coffee. Don't quote me. Also might wanna get FW Hazelnut. FA Hazelnut/grove is a more accurate representation but I can see it getting totally lost in that mix. Hopefully someone will chime in who is more into that type of profile. But good luck on your diy journey!
I'd start with a coffee cake and tweak.

Something that I've never done before but seen suggested many times, especially when developing a new recipe, is single flavor testing. Try making small batches of each flavor by themselves at different %s to get a solid sense of the flavor and its nuances, then you'll be more informed when it's time to start combining them and tweaking the %s. Just like a chef who is creating a new dish, the more in tune you are with each individual flavor, the better you'll be able to work with them and fine tune the recipe.
I made coffee flavor concentrate once. I essentially got pg nice and hot, added ground coffee, let sit for a few and strained out the coffee grounds. It was one of those just because you can doesn't mean you should. Made a bottle with it and it definitely tasted like black coffee. Wasn't a good vape, but it was coffee. Also it probably shouldn't be done. Bad for the lungs I'm assuming.
I've heard some very good things about INW Coffee. There's also this: https://www.reddit.com/r/DIY_eJuice/comments/5yc9zm/inw_mocca/
Although if you believe the reviewer, INW Mocca is more chocolate than coffee.
For coffee, I'd suggest SM Kona. TFA mexican liqueur kinda reminded me of kahlua with some misplaced dairy note, but it might work. SA irish coffee may also be usedful. For biscotti, FA cookie (which apparently has a bit of a coffee note to it). For chocolate/creamy, VT devon cream plus FLV milk chocolate. For hazelnut TFA is probably good enough? FLV Chocolate Deutsche is German's Chocolate Cake, a southern US recipe involving a candied coconut topping on a chocolate fudge cake. ("German's Chocolate" was named after a guy who worked at - IIRC - Baker's chocolate, who added copious amounts of sugar to their standard unsweetened baking chocolate, the recipe was a result of some contest/promotion they ran.) So I don't see that working well. In fact, few of the flavors picked are likely to work. Maybe they'll interact strangely and overcome all their individual flaws, but manage your expectations.
If I didn't find baked goods unvapable, your friend's idea is exactly the kind of thing I would've tried. With some bourbon added.
So milk chocolate? I'll defs do that as I'm tweaking an already existing milkshake recipe using Deutsche chocolate. Its called shadow clone jutsu , its on all the flavours. Lovely as a shake and vape but i feel the creams, vanilla swirl and chocolate need some time to steep.
