So way back when I was told not to use flavors containing food coloring nor dylectal bc they weren't safe for vaping. Has that changed? I ask bc when I posted 1 of my recipes that uses DX I got downvoted and told that most people don't use DX
It's a personal choice and anyone who downvoted you is an idiot if it was just for using a dx flavour.
I've used most of the dx flavours and they're not even bad, they're not the same as v1 for obvious reasons but they are not bad. Elitist idiots will always be idiots though i guess.
You should research this a bit more and you should come to the same conclusion that most people do which is at the levels we vape we're probably fine so go ahead and use them.
Ok thanks. Hell I've used DX and V2 flavors for around 8 years now. Never really used any OG versions so I personally don't know the taste difference. Are they majorly better than the DX&V2?
Well the DX peanut butter is better than the non DX lol. And the other DX I've used they're not much different. Others will say they're very different though but I suspect that's because they're sensitive to the butyric acid and whatever else is used or maybe it's all in their head because idiots keep saying how bad they are without even trying them.
You should try the ogs except peanut butter, you'll probably enjoy them and not die :) then you will know for yourself.
> Well the DX peanut butter is better than the non DX lol.
We'll all never agree on what tastes the best..but many feel this way about this certain flavor. Its one of a very small minority of flavors though. Not a popular flavor but I've found CAP V2 Raspberry tastes better than the V1.
.
I'm guessing not many have compared all of the DX or V2s with their regular counterparts. They probably tried a few and made up their minds on which version to get. I don't get why people care so much on what others choose to use. I don't care what people use either way. But it seems like this sub is generally against V2/DX stuff. "Not unless you want to taste vomit" has been used on more than one occasion. It could just be frendly warnings from first hand experience though.
Bought a 15ml flavorah penut butter bottle a month ago. I use v2 and dx for everything usually. Has a special cap and a ton of warnings on it(contains diacetyl, acetyl propionyl, and acetoin). Tried it and it definitely feels like it would kill me with sustained use. Dont know how its still legally sold
Dont think I could agree with this more, If your making anything you put in your body its personal choice, I think if people wanna vape tide pods let them, just dont blame the rest of us who told them it was stupid. However there is a giant different in an idiot vaping a tide pod or pine sol (honestly not run into the tide pod but did have to spend over an hour desperately trying to explain the difference between A-pinine and PINESOL)....Sigh. No more than likely low levels of any of these chemicals are reasonably safe. Always be aware of the dangers and use your tools, flavors etc responsibly. A lot of people dont understand that things can contain something that has to be labeled at a very minute level in some cases, its important to have nuance especially when it comes to mixing chemicals.
Way back you were lied to. Diacetyl is as safe to vape as almost any other flavor ingredient, and in fact far safer than fructose and such. V2/DX flavors that use butyric acid are the source of most of the dislike, but the deliberate misinformation from those against DAAP is more of the problem. If people choose not to use DAAP, that's one thing. Spreading lies to newcomers and making them worry about nothing? That's gonna be fought against.
That said, yeah, DX PB is the better PB. I personally find it amusing that DX Caramel is just as toxic as the non-DX version (both contain sugar), which there's actual evidence to support it being harmful.
Food coloring may or may not be safe. Cerain colors are in fact toxic, others may not be but in the case of coloring there's no reward in the risk-reward analysis. Why add something to juice that doesn't affect taste if there's a chance it'll be harmful? DAAP, OTOH, clearly affects taste (especially givven what usually replaces it in non-DAAP version) so there's a reason to use it, especially since there's a complete lack of evidence to suggest it's harmful at the levels of exposure involved in vaping (and evidence showing it's likely no risk even at higher levels.)
