All The Flavors Calculator Question.
submitted almost 6 years ago by Apescat

Just got in all my stuff and I'm going to start mixing. Where it says Nic Base in the calculator, followed by Strength (g/l) field, then directly under it VG / PG (%) field, the VG / PG (%) is referring to the nic base correct? I ordered 48 mg base in VG so I would put 100% vg / 0% pg correct? I hope I'm being clear enough in my question. I'm also unclear what the Finished batch Max VG check means.

Yes. Be sure to shake the hell out of the VG nic before you use it. And every other component.

Max VG is if you want to make... MAX VG. If you aren't sure what that means, it means you don't want to add any extra PG other than what is in the flavors. Otherwise you specify what ratio you want your mix to be.

> Thanks for your reply. I think I got it. I'm doing this recipe. I didn't realize that you could just use the flavors for your mix tho ( If I'm understanding you correctly.). If the Max VG box isn't checked its factored in to the recipe itself right? Like I said I'm trying to start with 48mg Nic in VG - to ultimately get a 3mg 70VG/30PG mix like my EDV Killer Custard. Once I get the hang of it I'm sure I will look back and see I was overthinking or something hopefully....maybe not haha.

You choose the ratio you want.

Yes. Most flavors are suspended in PG. Max VG means the maximum VG you can get after adding flavors.

Give this a try if you don't like your results

Assassin (Killer Kustard Remix)

DIYFS Holy Vanilla may be hard to find because it's been discontinued recently but I've heard the V2 isn't that much different

I love custards too! And in the nearly 3 years of doing this I dont believe I've ever been compelled to use CAP Vanilla Custard v1, CAP Vanilla Custard v2, along with TFA Vanilla Custard in one recipe. All at percentages lower than TFA Vanilla Swirl. Which was at 5% I believe. Just going on memory here. Just hate to see you wait on a juice to steep that ain't worth waiting on. It also doesn't need sweetener.

  • CAP Vanilla Custard v1 6%
  • TFA Vanilla Cupcake 4%

At least try that simple recipe too if you're hellbent on making OPs or already have.
