Proof we're not crazy to be doomsday prepping
submitted almost 6 years ago by Tauropos

So I just hopped onto ecigexpress, and looks like they have removed everything from their site except for flavors and bottles. No VG/PG or nic available anymore that I can see. Of course there are other sites where supplies can still be ordered, and I'm still convinced DIY will never completely die, but the bans are now officially affecting our community. Stock up while you can.

Just did live chat with Patty from ecigexpress and confirmed THEY DO NOT SELL VG, PG OR NICOTINE ANYMORE.

Patti confirmed because they have flavorings on the same site as nicotine, vg and pg it cause issues with local police as Washington State just banned flavors and they're based in Washington. Woof.

Hopefully that means that if this spreads to other companies, they can still sell nic mixes as long as they don't sell flavors, and vice versa. But ughh.

For VG/PG, just hit up Amazon.

Or Essential Depot (though I haven't been there in a while).

They sell on amazon and it’s usually cheaper

Which seems really odd. You'd think selling direct it would be cheaper. :/ Especially if Amazon doesn't get a cut.

Please, try to stick with the small businesses out there trying to serve our industry before you go to these pirates. Liquid barn, BCV, NicRiv, Heartland, or even a canadian company or UK....anything before amazon/WalMart. You think they care about your right to vape? No way.

I use Carolina Xtract for nicotine and BCF for flavorings.

Between dietary restrictions, tools and other materials, I'm already placing monthly orders with Amazon. I see no harm in adding a couple gallons of VG to my cart once a year.

Remember to make sure it's USP. Some vendors cuf costs by going with lower grade, and since amazon ToS prohibits vaping supplies, you have no recourse...

which ones?

I use froggys fog. But some people prefer the essential depot.

Thank you. I'm a serious noob slowly piecing together the rest of my stuff so thanks for real.

I'm surprised they're still called ECig Express. I expect them to change to Express Flavors or something less vape'y. BullCity did this a years ago. They must just be "ahead of their time" with that preemptive move.

I just looked at their website and it says they are now called flavorjungle

It was in their logo but now it's gone again. Maybe they are testing images

Ecigexpress is still working or up and running for me. I saw Flavor Jungle and clicked on it. It just goes to the Jungle Flavors section.

Nicotine River is still in the game.

So what now...lets say they stop selling this stuff together in online websites...where did the earliest adopters of vaping get their stuff? I know like VG and PG can be gotten at wal-mart and tractor supply. But what about the nicotine and the flavorings? I mean screw em, get back to where it began right?

by Tauroposalmost 6 years ago

Flavorings shouldn't be an issue. I'm guessing no matter what happens with the legislation, those won't be going anywhere. Nicotine tho I'm not sure. There have to be sources out there besides dedicated vape supply websites, but I don't know any myself.

Just go to the source? Is NicRiver not selling in WA anymore? Or any of the other dedicated nicotine vendors?

1 points

by Tauroposalmost 6 years ago

He was saying where did people get it before there were any dedicated vape supply websites. For now it may be possible to get it thru Nicotine River or a similar site, but depending on how crazy things get who knows if that will still be an option later.

I have just started with DIY, but for various reasons I have been buying my nic/vg/pg from different vendors.

Nicotine River and Vaperstek qnd Carolina extracts will probably.be able to continue selling nicotine and base. BCF already went to just selling flavors.

There may end up being a shakeup, where one or two states will have the rights for stores to sell all the needed supplies, and either the major vendors will relocate there or be replaced by companies from there.

bought a year supply of juice at EJUICECORNER

they are having an insane sale right now. That's who i've been buying from. I joined this reddit DIY_eJuice forum because I figure it's going to take me a year to get the hang of making my own.

I quit a 40 year smoking habit 8 years ago. my bp is 120/80 and lungs are pink and clear now. This ban on flavors is ridiculous.

Send a letter to all of your representatives, Federal, State, and local!!! This is what they need to know.

I've done that over and over again. Inslee just does whatever he wants by executive order. We have no say in the matter. Tobacco bonds are going to default if people keep vaping. He said he realized that adults will suffer for this but he's trying to save the teens. I hate when they spin the facts to further their agenda.

After 8 years of vaping flavors, why would I want to taste tobacco? This is utter nonsense.
The FDA said that there's no control over what people mix with already approved fda ingredients. Rules only apply to Retail. But is it safe to mix if we don't know what we're doing? I've relied on professional labs to mix my juice. Hope this is ok.

It’s safe to add your own flavors. There are websites dedicated to this very thing. Just be sure to use a scale that measures to .01 grams and go for it. I just started DIY with my flavors and use recipes I found online and so far have been pleasantly surprised.

This is where I have been buying my nic from, and yes, nic is gone as well as Pg/vg, but that can be purchased anywhere.

1 points

by Jokker78almost 6 years ago

Anyplace out there where the PG/VG nic as cheap as ecigexpress?

2 points

by Tauroposalmost 6 years ago

I did my stockpiling with Nicotine River. They had the lowest prices for PG/VG/nic when I shopped around a few weeks ago. Might depend on the quantity you're looking for tho.

I believe they removed all those items off their site due to the ban here in WA.

They just had a huge sale, probably just sold out of everything. No biggie.

12 points

by cjinctalmost 6 years ago

No, it's why they had a huge sale on nicotine and tobacco flavors

by Tauroposalmost 6 years ago

I'm not so sure. Check out their website menu. A lot of areas of the site that used to exist are no longer there, and a search for VG/PG or nic turns up zero results. In the past when they've been out of stock you could still see the product but there would just be a note saying sold out.

Advocating for panic buying? Stop. All you're doing is creating an artificial supply gap, and driving up prices.
