Seriously, just get a cheap RDA or even a few cheap RDA’s. Someone mentioned the Wasp Nano which is a great option. You’ll never get a true idea of what your juices taste like in a tank without rebuilding and wasting massive amounts of cotton. RDA’s are much more forgiving and flavors can be changed with minimal carry over of the old flavor. With a tank, the old flavor could still be present after a full tank of different juice if you don’t wash the tank out and rebuild every time you switch. I’d look at getting some RDA’s as essential tools needed for diy, right up there with bottles and a scale and droppers and such. Even if you only end up using them to sample your flavors and don’t use the RDA regularly as your main vaping method, it will pay for itself in the time and aggravation you will save yourself.
Hijacking top comment to add another way:
Put a little (I use 10ml) Soda water in a cup, add the drops you would for a 10ml and just sip it. The taste will be surprisingly close to what you will get in pgvg base. This is how I do spot testing. I test flavors every day as it's my job.
This works best with fruits and bright flavors that don't need a steep.
Hope this helps some people!
Happy mixing!
This is pretty brilliant. Now why soda water vs plain water?
No reason really, personal preference because I usual do a lot of them through the day and it leaves my mouth faster kinda? It's just something I tried that worked pretty well, so I just do it this way, you can choose whatever works for you : )
Edit to add just a tip: Begin with a few drops and work up tasting as you go and taking notes! You will gain a lot of useful knowledge as you go from weak to strong. Those notes will be immensely valuable as you advance.
RDA, good quality cotton and Temperature Control. This way you can dry up your cotton of the flavor and drip a new one on top with very little to no taste overlap, depending on the cotton.
Temp control, dont that require a certain wire or coil?
I stopped just before it became popular, thinking about getting black into it.
Definitely works too! But also uses up your unflavored pg/vg. Simply vaping the cotton to near dry should be good enough to get rid of most of the old flavor save for a couple puffs in the beginning. But the unflavored juice tip is a good tip if you have a lot of extra unflavored sitting around.
