So I live in New York, and our emperor just banned all flavor liquids (other than tobacco) I have been pretty steadily using a “tart strawberry” for the last 6 months and have really been enjoying it. I have never tried making my own juice, but it looks like it might be time to start. Does anyone have a good recipe, and an idea on what to use for the “tart” Also, in fear of not being able to ship most flavors into NY now, are there any other natural strawberry flavors that I could get to add to my juice that would be used for, let’s say, cooking? Thank you in advance
Not all cooking flavors can be used in vaping. Lots of !!!!!!
Some flavors used in cooking may be in an oil suspension. You do not want to inhale oil. Think of the bootleg THC carts, yup those. That will happen.
There are some eliquid diy websites. I've used ecigExpress (com) and GremlinDIY (com) and I've looked into BullCityFlavors (com) I think the first two that I've used are around the west coast, but I think BullCityFlavors is on your side of the county. I don't know if that cuts down on the shipping time or not. I'm in Wisconsin, so I'm in the middle.
I'm kinda new-ish, so I don't know allot. DIY mixing is often with multiple flavors to get the flavor that you want. I just started a month ago or so. When I did, there are pre-mixed flavors called "one-shot concentrates" on ecigExpress that you just add the correct amount to unflavored eliquid, shake it, and wait. Some flavors are good enough to vape right away, some are best after the sit around for a week or so (which is called steeping)
If you have any questions, I may not be able to answer them, ('cuz I'm new), but I'm sure someone will be able to help you.
Thank you, I know not all are usable, just curious if anyone had any that could be used. I’m concerned that this ban will make it illegal for companies to ship flavors into NY making this difficult to do. I guess I’ll just have to try to order and see what happens.
I would imagine that it would be hard to keep the flavors out. If they can't tell the difference between the deaths from the THC carts and flavors, they won't be able to differentiate between flavors that are strictly for cooking and the flavors that you are looking for.
Amazon does sell some Capella flavors. One of the sites that I was ordering from was out of stock of Capella Super Sweet so I checked Amazon. They have strawberry... I just don't know how it tastes by itself.
Amazon ASIN: B0058DFDWO (you can type the funny bit into the Amazon search bar)
For tart I use some combination of TFA sweet and tart and INW lemon mix.
The sweet and tart lends itself to a candy profile, while the lemon mix used at low percentages mostly just imparts a tart flavor that can be buried under most other fruits.
As to the strawberry you probably want some combination of TFA ripe strawberry, INW shisha strawberry, FA red touch/strawberry, and JF or CAP sweet strawberry.
Did they actually ban the importing of flavor or smell additives... looks like you should start a vg baised perfume company...
I was going to offer some help but what you got here is just as good and better. Good luck and fuckem
I’m not sure how the total ban will work, I’ve heard from others that companies will no longer ship flavors into NY if you try to order online, but I haven’t confirmed yet. They have banned the sale of all flavors besides tobacco and menthol, and our local shops have 14 days to clear their shelves.
Order your flavors, make sure they are suspended in pg or vg. Just about everyone from Wizard labs is good to go. Dont do stupid things that will make it worse for the vaping community. Order the right stuff the first time, it will still be 10x cheaper then buying. 1 gal pg 25$ 1 gallon vg 25$ Flavors 120 ml about 7-10$ Say you find a tart strawberry 10$ or tart & strawberry for 20$ (combined) You have juice for months.
Flavourart’s strawberry and all of their fruits are the most natural tasting flavors. Their other flavors are good but different than what you might be used to because they are an Italian company. Like their custard is very sweet and and eggy more like an Italian custard not like the heavy vanilla creamy custards we’re used to over here,
