So I have an adult child (22) whose therapist suggested her to vape zero nic for her anxiety disorders. I know that the smell and taste of lavender naturally relieves anxiety. I’ve been working on different lavender recipes aiming to get a mild lavender flavor that’s let’s say sweet and creamy. But just as soon as I think I got it it seems to turn into inhaling fabric softener dryer sheet taste. At SnV some are actually good, but with time the lavender beast rises from an accent to BLAH HaHa BLAH🤢
So I thought maybe someone more experienced may possess the knowledge to help me make a zero nic, lavender accented, calming but tasty ejuice. I’ve been working with FA lavender at all different ratio’s. Is this unobtainable?
Wouldn't it be the essential oil lavender that elicits the reactions to it? Not sure a vape is the best idea. Especially for someone who doesn't vape, doesn't need to start a habit.
do you think shell have success with a dry herb vaporizer and vape actual lavender out of that i have the arizer solo 2 and it came with lavender instead of picking up a vaping e liquid habit
Now that is something I didn’t even consider. I don’t know anything much of dry herb vaporizers. That is something I will certainly read up on. She’s been vaping awhile and I’ve been trying to make her aware of the downside to vaping. But since she’s already been doing it and since I mix my own liquids I just figured as a parent maybe I could come up with a recipe that may benefit her even more. But seriously thanks, time to start reading up on more options such as dry herbs. TYVM 😁
I was skeptical about her starting to vape for any reason. That is until her therapist and psychiatrist both told me that vaping zero nic in itself can and does help her anxiety levels to lower. They said it’s to do with breathing and also diverting her attention. They weren’t meaning CBD or nicotine or anything like that. She doesn’t struggle with just simple anxiety and panic attacks. It’s paralyzing anxiety that makes it hard to even leave her room. It’s hard for her to even be around family or friends at times. She’s pushing and fighting to overcome it and is struggling right now to keep a job. I know what you mean about essential oils but since the vaping is indeed helping already I just thought maybe a lavender e liquid might help more. I know when she was just a little thing lavender lotion use to relax her. Sorry for wall of words.
you might have more success with getting her a dry herb vaporizer like the arizer solo 2 it comes with lavender and thats what its meant to do vape dry herbs ...I feel like that would be better for her to get all the benefits she can from the full flower instead of just a flavoring.

edit: i would ask this same question in the Vaporents Sub they would be able to help you figure out which dry herb vape is the best for specifically lavender but i can confirm my arizer solo 2 came with lavender caps
Thank so very much. Means a lot for the suggestion and idea. Being a parent I am just trying to help her in anyway I can. Rx’s aren’t helping enough, her new habit seems to a little but willing to try alternatives. Is inhale dry herbs just as risky or more would you happen to know?
I did find a post once about dry herb vaping a variety of herbs. I’ll look and see if I book marked it fornyou. As for lavender vape going perfumey, I guess you’re gonna have to go lower or dilute it to 10% to work with it. Maybe u/juthinc has had some experience with it because he’s into florals or can give some general advice?
Personally,, while sometimes florals can work as SnV recipes, they much more frequently need time. They always change over time, so your best bet is to steep before testing.. Usually a week.
That said, you seem to want to go somewhere I never went, doing a floral cream. I usually stick to floral fruit blends.
Thanks for the info! How or where could I go to see some of your recipes for fruit/floral blends? I can’t think of a fruit that would pare with lavender. I chose the a floral cream because only thing lavender I have ate is a lavender gelato 😁
Most of my stuff is at alltheflavors. I don't have a lot of floral recipes, at least where the florals star, but GIGI got Hibiscus and Honeysuckle, Don started out as simply replacing cotton candy with honeysuckle. And of course Green Fires had Elderflower as a major component.. And Apple Blossom and Flower Power (and Candy Blossom) were more floral-forward. And you could probably add some FA lavender to Dark Lemonade, but really lavender hasn't been a focus for me. (I tend to stick with more mix-friendly options like elderflower, hibiscus, honeysuckle, cherry blossom, with occasional forays to jasmin, rose, violet, musk...those sorts.
I think for lavender, I would first try lemon, maybe pink guava, grapefruit, or lime. Or maybe I'd try some spiced apple... Lavender and clove, maybe with 2% fa fuji. I really should play around with some ideas, but I'm currently tweaking a cherry Elderflower recipe, thinking of adding soe FW blueberry (my 5yo actually suggested I add blueberry after commenting that it already smelled nice...)
