I’d like to give a huge thank you to the people who grew this place into what it is today.
u/InertiaCreeping, u/kirkt, u/skiddlzninja, u/ID10-T, u/Apexified, u/Botboy141 (we miss you), and most importantly, all you lovely, beautiful subscribers, lurkers, and contributors.
I have a feeling I will be making another one of these milestone posts again very soon with the current state of affairs in the US, and even abroad as more regulations are handed down.
Face Front, True Mixers!
Hidey-ho mixerinos!
Might be hard to believe but I still lurk in the background here regularly. I do think we are posed to see a growth in DIY like we've never experienced. I've seen a lot of "help me get started" posts since the MI ban went into place, so it might be wise to get the stickies back pointing people in the right direction.
New mixers: 95% of what you need to know is ===> right there in the sidebar. You will find this sub's users very friendly and helpful but 10x more so if you have spent just an hour or so ====> there doing some research.
I also want to send a note to those who have been vaping for a while. Almost all of us started vaping to quit smoking, and while we know vaping has a tiny fraction of the risks of smoking, it is still not as safe as not vaping. Now is as good a time as any to get rid of that nicotine habit if that has always been a goal of yours. DIY is perfect for this because you can go from 3 to 2 to 1 to 0.5 to 0.1 and before you know it the addiction is gone... no cravings, no problems. I have been nicotine-free for several months and I don't really miss it at all. I still vape but it's become more of a pleasant distraction than the "adult pacifier" it once was. The biggest benefit is that now, without the nicotine habit, I can go 2-3 hours without vaping and not really think about it. I'm not trying to get on a pedestal here, just pointing out that if I can do it, any of you can as well.
All the best, and happy mixing!

Reddit doesn't notify users if you tag more than three people in one comment. Let me help you out a little, buddy: /u/InertiaCreeping , /u/kirkt , /u/skiddlzninja
And, thank you, for all the work you've put in here!
Thanks Trump and Michigan!
Trump's FDA actually gave vaping a stay of execution from when Obama's FDA tried to kill vaping, so Trump's pretty much a draw right now. But if big pharma puts enough money in his pocket, I doubt vaping will last long, unless Altria funnels enough in to save Juul...
Since when is a flavor ban a draw?
Like I mentioned, Obama tried to end vaping, and under Trump that was at least stalled. Which would make Trump good for vaping. Basically, Trump was up one, then down one, so right now he's a zero (with a cheap rug and spray-on tan).
> Trump's FDA actually gave vaping a stay of execution from when Obama's FDA tried to kill vaping
LOL And yet, they're blaming Obama for not killing the industry
> Alex Azar, health and human services secretary, says the FDA will plan the removal of all e-cigarette flavors with the exception of tobacco flavor, which can still be sold. According to the secretary, manufacturers of flavored vaping products would be able to file for FDA approval but remain off the market until approved. He says President Barack Obama's administration allowed for companies to sell e-cigarettes in an "unregulated way" in hopes that smokers would choose non-combustible tobacco.
Blaming the wrong people. The MSM has had a hard on for vaping for a serious minute now. Remember popcorn lung anybody? Then Juul happened. And boy did it happen. They got huge. And they want to bring them down. Because that's what they do. Truth be damned and they don't care who else gets caught in their crossfire. Bring them down at any cost. That's the way I see it. How else do get a liberal and a conservative on the same page? Factor in some lobbyists and some special interests groups with a stack of clinical studies that look like a monkey was in charge and you have a perfect storm.
One of the kindest, most helpful subs on reddit that isn't primarily mental health focused. Maybe it is, to be fair.
It's probably all down hill from here? Still glad to have known all you cunts.
I wish "cunts" was used more in the US in a friendly jesting way but folks seem to get offended by it real quick.
Been here over 3 years.
Some of the goodone's that also deserve a shout out would be /u/abdada and /u/notcharlesmanson (may he RIP)
I’ve been lurking ‘round these parts since around the beginning of 2015. Weird that there’s been around 38,000 people join since then. Where’s all them fuckin tobacco lovers at?!
I'm just getting into it now!
Once you go tobac, you never go back! Have I missed any bangin tobacco recipes come through since I’ve disappeared? I browse the monthly recipe threads from time to time to check, but nothing has caught my eye.
u/isuamadog has an RY4 stone that has been steeping on my desk for 6 days. I'm dying to try it, as it gets raved about and can be used to branch off into other ideas. As per his suggestion, I took the optional suggestion of adding Red Burley and Black For Pipe
For the mixer’s club duets theme I tried a mashup of brigade and cardinal. sacrilege is kind of well, u/ID10-T described it best as “Cardinal for men”. It’s still ry4 heavy imo but it lost some of the boldness that makes brigade. I’ve vaped a lot of it trying to get it right. Now that holy holy grail is reformulated not sure folks will try it but I definitely wanted to tip a nod your way if you hadn’t seen it.
