Any of my fellow Michigan DIY guys have any knowledge of what is going to happen to us (wake of the ban) and if we will still be able to buy the flavorings to continue making our juice?
They are food flavorings and the nic is unflavored. I'm thinking they can't really stop it per the letter of the order
Its impossible to say yet. They haven't written any of the rules yet. Per the order, the rules will go into effect immediately upon release and shops will have 30 days to become compliant
We have no idea how good or bad the rules will be.
Her order was for non flavored eliquid, which is what nic is. I don't see how they can ban food flavorings. It'll be interesting to see, but there's always a way around the law and still be compliant to the letter of how it's written
Lmao. I'm willing to wager 0% of Whitmers fly by the seat of the pants regulations will be any good.
Crank up the witchhunt to 11. Everybody knows the media hates a feel good story and that's what vaping is. Lucky them they caught a break with a pliable youth more than willing to tell Mom and Dad (if applicable) that they were just hitting a Juul a few times and not getting high asf all day long on THC cartos. Politicians do not care about your "youth". Why do you think they kiss babies? Get your head out people.
So she couldn't just fix the damn roads so she went after an easier fix?
I don't know how this is going to work honestly and if it will be applied to Marijuana vape cartridges as well. I think you will be seeing a lot of diy products on the shelves soon.
TBH, I almost want to believe that part of this is so were forced to buy ciggs with the extra tax they put on because no one is letting her have her way with the .45 cent gas increase. We've already been taxed and taxed with the promise of fixing the roads and they still look like a main drag in a war torn country.
Question to you: why would you not be able to buy flavors?
I have a friend who works for a very legit vape company. He said that they had to comply to the state laws they were shipping too. Seeing that many of these websites (Wizard Labs etc.) sell e-juice that perhaps this would be a complication, even if it’s only the flavors?
PA, AR, I want to say 2 others and now block flavored juices, but they can still order flavors and base. I think AR also bans straight up nicotine as well unless you have a handling license so most places won't deal with them specifically.
Nicotine River has a great stater kit, while not as cheap as buying exactly what you need, it does offer the most bang for your buck, is a good way to get started and is better than any other starter kit I've seen. I think the dream kit people work up outside of the official one is usually along the lines of 1L+ VG, small bottle of PG, 100 mg/ml bottle of nic, then a few flavors in 2 oz bottles along with a lb-501 scale on amazon.
keep initial costs on the low side and figure out what you NEED need vs what you think you need or want, no need to blow cash on something you will pour down a drain.
If it makes you feel any better, I reached out to Bull City, and this was their response. I’m waiting to hear back from a few other companies.
At this point, I’m not worried about being able to acquire actual flavor concentrates, but I’m less optimistic about nicotine base. I placed a giant order with Carolina Xtract last night just to be safe. I’m also gonna go out on a limb and assume that companies who advertise their products as being used for ejuice making might be a little more hesitant about shipping to Michigan. I could very well be wrong, and I hope I am, but I’m preparing for the worst case scenario regardless.
Looks like you can still diy but possession of more than 4 different flavors of finished juice at once is considered intent to distribute. Dumb af. Stay strong and don’t let this garbage law put you back on stinkies
