This thread is for you to share what you are vaping lately, be it your own or another mixers recipe. Maybe you happened to stumble upon your new ADV in the August Recipes Thread? Or did someone recommend your first mix to you in the Suggest a recipe for my flavors Thread
Share what you liked or didn't like too much, but most importantly, please make sure to properly link to the recipe and to the mixer if they're on reddit.
If you need some inspiration, some websites keep track of your mixes and batches: e-Liquid Recipes and All The Flavors.
Also make sure to checkout last week's thread for inspiration or to follow up on a mix that turned out even better after a week of steeping! We keep an archive of all the past threads in our wiki as well
Happy Vaping!
Banana Custard (VTA) 2.00%
Bavarian Cream (FW) 1.50%
Marshmallow (TPA) 1.50%
Shisha Strawberry (INW) 2.25%
Strawberry (Red Touch) (FA) 2.00%
Vanilla Ice Cream (LB) 3.50%
It's good and the strawberries work well for me but I want to make some changes because I'm loosing the banana after 4 weeks and it seems a bit sweet. Thinking to completely drop the marshmallow and up the banana a tad. Then lower the Bavarian Cream and possibly add vanilla swirl bringing total flavor to 12%
I tried my second favorite recipe out of all the recipes I've tried all year this week - Rainbow Snozzberry Custard by /u/Glasschalice468 aka RainbowDragon.
It tastes amazing and delicious, just like the bizarre but addictive recipe it was based on, Golden Snozzberry Custard, with a similar otherworldly fruity topping. It's similarly situated on a creamy silky custard with a sweet, sugary finish. I actually preferred the original just a little more, though I'm not sure if that has more to do with the shock of how wonderful Golden Snozzberry Custard was, when on paper it looks like it could have been a nightmare, or if it has more to do with what I perceive as the main difference between Rainbow Snozzberry Custard and Golden Snozzberry Custard. The Golden Snozzberry Custard came out tasting to me like it was perfectly balanced between the fantasmagorical fruit and rich custard. This one tastes little unbalanced in favor of the custard. Which is not to say there's anything wrong with the recipe. I'd just say it's the Snozzberry for people who liked Golden Snozzberry but wished there was a little more emphasis on the creamy custard.
Two other recipes I've tried this week that have been awesome:
-
Apri-Props by /u/philosaphucker , which basically made me feel like I don't know a goddamned thing about mixing. It is alchemy or voodoo or something. Look at the damn recipe, it makes no sense. There is no reason why this should taste exactly like what it's supposed to taste like, a creamy gourmet dollar apiece apricot sucker, but it perfectly well does. It has both 3% FW Hard Candy and 1.5% TFA Toasted Marshmallow in there and if you think you know what you're doing, as I did before I tried this, that should make you afraid to mix it, and then tasting it will make you want to flip your desk over. WTF!

Apricot Cream Tobacco by Fadedjay1. I don't know who Fadedjay1 is, but this mixer has 27 recipes and on ATF and only two reviews, one of which is mine and both of which are for the same recipe. Someone should check out these guy's or gal's recipes, mix some up, and give some feedback. Based on this one, you wouldn't regret it. Rather than an apricot pipe tobacco, this is more of a fruity dessert tobacco with apricot happening to be the fruit, like an Apricot RY4. It’s rich and satisfying, with thick, dark, brown sugar-like sweet cream blending with the tobacco and fruit notes. I’ve tried a few peach tobaccos that I’ve liked and even created one, but I like this one even more. The other reviewer mentioned it being light on flavor but I'm getting more than enough flavor here.
I also mixed up another apricot tobacco, Apricaught me Slippin, by /u/chemicalburnvictim and tried it, but I can't really give you a review because it still has a ways to go on the steeping. But, I wanted to make sure I didn't forget when it was ready, so I set a calendar reminder for 30 days on the dot to get it back out. I can’t wait to try this again after it has finished steeping. So far it’s only got a week and it’s got that weird “not done steeping” INW tobacco taste in it, but I like the way it is headed. The hint of apricot comes in on top and there’s a deep smokey and slightly ashy sweet, moist pipe tobacco underneath it. Less than three weeks to go, 100% sure it will be worth the wait. I’m already grateful for this recipe reminding me of how good Gold for Pipe is.
One recipe I tried and did not like was Apricot Cinnamon Frosted Danish by Kemmo. The cooked apricot base is on point, and although there has to be an easier way - like with WF or VT Croissant flavors - to build the danish, what’s here works for a tasty pastry. But there’s something weird in the top notes, something about the way the flavors are combining makes that frosting just a little plasticky or overly waxy. I wish I knew how to fix it, but I don’t know what’s actually doing that, because these flavors have seemed fine to me in other settings. It’s just something off about the way they’re meshing here.
Other than that, still messing around with Fireball Ice Cream. Decided it wasn't that the fireball stuff was too much, but that the ice cream base was too little for it. So now I'm trying to scale up the Trinity Ice Cream without going too far. Also, maybe trying to get coolant to work for that feeling when you first bite into ice cream, along with a contrast to the spicy cinnamon. Also still thinking about how to improve two pod things, a simple mango and a peppermint vanilla, but I need to finish what I have made of them first. Should not have mixed 30ml to start off with. It takes a long time to go through 30ml 25mg salt nic in the Caliburn.
edit, fixed CBV tag
Welllllllll?
Give me a few hours. I’ve had this on my to do list but it’s been one of those weeks where lots of things on the to do list don’t get to done before I’m totally beat
This past week I have had:
u/ediblemalfunction 's "Largo Milk" Its an awesome creamy keylime pie complete with graham cracker crust.
Lil kittybit/Nordicflavours' "Clouds of Buddha" a sweet fruity floral creamy rice. Absolutely delicious imo.
u/foment_life's Just F'kin Peachy and also his "Blue Eyes White Dragon" a blue-peach indescribably awesome
u/eyemakepizza 's "Cinn Apple Cream" A staple for any collection
My "Iced Green Tea" different than my usual recipes but refreshing
My "Vanilla Special" many facets of vanilla.
I've also been working on something I call "morning bite" which is a guava/grapefruit recipe and perfecting an "apple-pie ice cream".
I'm starting on a clone for "Fire and Ice"
Pardon my poor formatting
Just fuckin' peachy today, but I think I'll be switching it up if the cream base I'm toying with plays nicely.
Strawberry Apple ice Cream 2% TFA Fuji 2% TFA Strawberry 6% TFA VBIC
Not bad, needs more strawberry next time around. Threw something together quick.
Throw in another supporting strawberry and some dragon fruit to emulsify
Leave out dragon fruit if you want to taste the strawberry and apple separately and not have them mush together into one strawberry-apple thingy. But for sure yes on the supporting strawberry.
This is just a spin on Coop's Kiwi Bourbon, but I changed the fruit and added one more ingredient and now I can't put it down. It's officially one of my 4 ADVs.

Also, I tried to mix what I imagine a Malaysian ejuice tastes like, having never had one, and came up with this. It's nice enough. Nothing mind-blowing. Maybe I'll work on it a bit. But, it scratches that cooling summer juice itch well enough. Light, fruity, sweet, not quite a candy, not quite a drink, and very, very delicately floral.

Adapted the best Lemonade recipe off of ELC and came up with this gem that really starts to shine after a 3 day steep. Adding it to my regular rotation.

wanted a sweet bacco and came up with this:
FLV Turkish 2%
HS No5 4%
FLV Sweet Cig 0.5%
DIYFS Holy Holy Grail v1 2%
Not bad out of the mtl tank. Not as much bacco from the Turkish as I expected. Finished within 3 days and it just started to meld so I have to remix it and let it sit.

Left me wanting some more spice/flavor so I decided to try this:
FLV Turkish 2%
FLV Cavendish 0.75%
FLV Milk and Honey 1.5
Definitely strong off the shake and even mellowed out after a few hours. Oddly satisfying for that deep sweet bacco i was jonesing for. Think next go round, I'll swap out the Turkish for something a bit more neutral that I can boost up a bit higher and maybe add a hint of vanilla, some spice, wood or some other enhancer.
I've been vaping hard on scraps this last week. 'Hate vaping' you guys call it? I'm actually not hating it.
Just throw a load of dribbles of testers and bits and pieces of similar failed mixes together, nic that shit up, and blast it in a pasito.
I'm very much enjoying them. They might well be better than anything I've intentionally mixed.
Went a little nutty making various cherry based mixes, after discovering how nice GL cherry is. Probably my favorite so far is a experiment I call 1-2-3-4-5-cherry. I was in a hurry, and used INW Marzipan in place of the FA I intended on, but the other flavors mostly bullied it into a cherry profile. (It was mainly to give a extra sweet candy vibe to the mix, which it does well at 1%).
