Hey guys, longtime lurker here but terrible mixer who's honestly clueless in terms of getting really good commercial level flavor. I won't lie my average day vaping is kind of nasty flavor wise and it's bumming me out. My mother recently switched to vaping and she's asking me for DIY-Juice but I'm kind of embarrassed giving it to her because I bought her a bunch of guy in store recommended commercial juices to try out first and they're all better than my regularly disappointing flavor fail mixes.
So I'd like y'all to hit me up with some fruity, candied, sweet recipes that don't contain any of the nasty stuff (think of my mom lmao) and preferably aren't too complex to mix so I don't have to buy 200 flavors. I also kind of prefer low% mixes (because they're cheaper and I'm semi broke) but I'm honestly willing to change my ways if you guys recommend something you think is 100% worth it.
Now in terms of recipes I've already tried and remember trying so you guys have some sort of a baseline:
Fizzmustards Mustard Milk: Was unvapeable for me because vbic tastes like pepper to me, and in all of my mixing I haven't had a custard mix that I honestly wanted to finish and I've tried.
DIYORDIE Kings Custard, unvapeable, and I only mixed it once or twice because the whole actual sugar in the flavor west flavorings thing.
DIYORDIE Hawaiian POG, I liked this recipe a lot but not quite for daily vaping and at 14% flavoring it was kind of more expensive than my regular stuff.
Prickly Victory https://alltheflavors.com/recipes/37881 I thought this was okay but it's definitely not on the level of the commercial stuff I tried
This https://e-liquid-recipes.com/recipe/1378641/12%20Monkeys%20Matata%20by%20Garcia 12 monkeys matata clone which was decent but not worth maintaining a stock of all the flavors for. I was mostly into the grape juice/fuji apple concentrates.
And my own recipe Which is 3% INW Raspberry Malina and 1% INW Cactus, which is generally my adv because it's pretty inoffensive but it's also not very exciting.
As you can see, in terms of what I like, it's pretty much all fruit, in my dream world I can find stuff that tastes like jolly rancher and haribo candy and shit which is what most of the commercial juice tastes like to me
SO TLDR; hit me up with fire bomb ass recipes for me to mix and give y'all props on. Thanks in advance dudes.
Can't really recommend any "fire bomb ass recipes" as vaping is so subjective - Looking for something on ATF, which is highly rated is your best bet, though there are some hiddens gems who don't get much acknowledgement as well..
I know it's subjective, I'm just looking for a starting point, I try browsing ATF and picking rated stuff on there but it's just hard to imagine the flavor profiles. Like I've tried Grack Juice and Godz milk and others but haven't really hit on that candied fruit flavor I really like. I don't know maybe that dude behind the counter at the vapeshop just really nailed his recommendations but none of those have tasted like these juices taste.

So far I've bookmarked Water Malone for trying next but other than that I'm kind of lost.
What flavor profiles were the commercial liquids that you enjoyed?
Fruity Candy is what they taste like, I bought 4 juices, Just Fruit - Twisted Berry & Citrus Splash, Twisted berry tastes like strawberry with something extra, Citrus Splash tastes citrussy.
Alien Vape - Roswell, this is the one that actually got me to post here because it's so tasty on the exhale it's blowing my mind and I'm not even sure what flavour I'm tasting. It claims it's peach, kiwi, pomegranate and citrus but I'll be darned if I get any of those fruits out of it, it just tastes like candy to me.
and some apple thing which to me honestly tasted a lot like FA Fuji Apple mixed with maybe another Apple and a bunch of sweetener so I wasn't interested enough to remember the name.
For a straight candy profile you need to try Candy Shop by furiousMixer at ATF it is a very nice candy and citrus vape, with a few minor tweaks (just making it to my taste) it’s great https://alltheflavors.com/recipes/161234
Candy probably isn't the best profile for someone semi broke and using a tank. Also 3% INW Raspberry is too high. But you could flesh it out with something like
- INW Raspberry 1%
- FA Forest Fruit 4%
- TFA Marshmallow 1%
The marshmallow is really just trying to bring some added sweetness without wrecking your coils..
Well considering I have 2 out of three of these flavors I will give this a shot and add some FA Forest fruit onto the list for my next order. I'm probably exaggerating on the semi broke bit, and I used to have Raspberry at 2% but kicked it up to 3 because of flavor fatigue since it's my adv. I don't know why candy is a bad profile for use in a tank, is it because I'm going to be wrecking coils or something? These shop flavors have held up for a week so far while vaping 15ml a day, which is about how long I usually run my coils anyway.
If you have FA blackcurrant its basically the same as forest fruit almost. Forest fruit is mainly blackcurrant.
Yeah, I that was in regards to coil life. Forest Fruit is great because you can use it as a base like I showed above and then you can bounce different berries off it giving you flexibility and a easy way to create variety. OP is correct in you need to grab FA Black Current as well. Sweet and sticky, this guy is another great role player. And one that pairs really well with raspberry. You can use it anywhere from 0.75% to 1.5% as an accent to round out and add depth to your ADV for example. Also bringing a sticky and candy like mouthfeel. A serious wakeup call to cactus that he probably isn't gonna be around much longer lol. Also check out FW Razzleberry. Great flavor that gets overlooked. Dryer candy like mouthfeel that can be negated using above tactics.
As for custards I've never tried Kings Custard. But it is one of my favorite profiles. Not looking to reinvent the wheel here so..
- CAP Vanilla Custard v1 6%
- TFA French Vanilla Deluxe 1.5%
Hell, that gets you around 3rd base and almost home. You can add a bakery element or not. Either way it's rich and delicious. But there's more. Why not two custards? Just add FW Butterscotch Ripple at 3 5% to 4% to that recipe. Guaranteed dank asf.
I hope this helps and let's keep your momma off the cigarettes and make her proud at the same time. If you ever have any questions or whatever feel free to message me
I actually have Vanilla Custard v1 and v2 and just regular TFA French Vanilla, I don't like either so I'm going to skip the custard for now, I just don't think that flavor profile works for me unfortunately. Kind of sucks because I'd be down to vape something other than fruits but I've burned myself too many times on that custard profile.
Definitely down for trying your tips for increasing mouthfeel will check out razzleberry.
Grape soda by FW is pretty good 10% if you like sweet juice and it's super versatile
Why not I'll give this a shot if it doesn't have sugar in it like a lot of the FW stuff, added to the list.
No but it's weak and full of Maltol which can dampen flavors. If you want easy good candy profiles that don't need much of any tweaking then you want to look at Wonder Flavors. I design juice for a living. I highly recommend WF.
I'm pretty sure they are in Canada, but I can tell you I used nearly 30 of their flavors before I got their whole line in and there wasn't one that I didn't think was really good. (Haven't tested the others as I just got them in).
Sour Blue Raspberry Candy is amazing.. also notable:
Pixie Stick Candy, Sour Watermelon Candy, Chews Candy, Sour Ball Candy, Sour Gummy Candy, Lemon Orange Rice Candy, Gushy Fruit Candy, Gummy Worm Candy.
And lots more. For candy profiles no one is better.
I don't work for or represent them I just really like their stuff.
Strange that you are not getting the flavour expected from some of the popular mixes out there. May I ask what device you are using?
A Uwell Valyrian, or a Freemax Mesh Pro with triple coils depending on wether I'm out or about or at home. I don't know if I'm not getting the flavor expected or if I'm just not into the flavors, like they taste fine just not as exciting as these super sweet candy things. I've been thinking about getting a dripper of sorts to experiment more with flavoring percentages etc though. I have to admit I struggle with letting things steep so that may contribute to my bad luck with bakeries/custardy things so I'm honestly mostly looking for recipes that are good for the whole shake and vape lifestyle.
Wow from what I've read, the Valyrian is a pretty powerful device so that shouldn't be the issue at all.
To keep costs low, I just buy CAP, TPA or Flavour Art (look at the below thread to lower costs).
Also, pod recipes tend to pack a lot more flavour in them, second link one has pretty cheap favours apart from FLV Mango (but only 3% of that...so a $5 bottle can make you around 300ml of juice which is very cheap imo).

Hmmm my brother likes commercial sweet candy vapes. He liked blue fun dip so maybe that works for you. I know u/humanpuck said it isn’t finished yet but could be a starting point?
What flavors do you have already? It may be easier to work with that...
But if you want simple and overwhelmingly sweet, try this:
1% FA Blackcurrant
2% FA lime Tahiti CP
3% INW Grape
You could replace the lime with FA Fuji or JF Lemon Juicy (at the same percentage) or maybe a key lime or something. Mainly the idea is something to cut the sweetness and add some depth to the flavor. Even cactus could work there.. Or maybe a floral...
I have a bunch of INW fruit flavors left over but other than that I'm running pretty low generally. I also have a bunch of custards, creams and vanillas left over from when I was trying to make that happen. I already have INW Grape and I have INW Lemon&Lime+Blackcurrant left but I don't know if that's going to work. I could give it a shot in a 10ml. I do think simple overwhelmingly sweet with a fruity touch describes what I'm looking for though.
I'll organize my flavorings left over and post up a list later tonight.
Blackcurrant is basically the flavor in swedish berries, only way more potent. INW grape is straight up purple flavor. So super potent red berry, mixed with purple (and both are sweet)... The lemonlime may work, just not sure of a percentage for that. I'll take a look at your list and see what kind of candy recipes I can come up with... But generally, TFA honeysuckle added to any slightly candyish fruit will give fruit candy. If you can get GL flavors, get their cherry. It isn't very potent, but it's good, especially for a candy mix. FA Marzipan is good for fruit mixes, as it's really sweet and has a hint of cherry. And pick up some stevia... It's a coil friendly sweetener that works well with citrus.
My ADV, a Honey Pearry clone from ID10-T, https://alltheflavors.com/recipes/6666
I mix this stuff a liter at a time, always have it in rotation. And, although ID10_T says that Fear's Honey Sucker is a better mix, I strongly disagree, it's a lot more ingredients and does not work for me flavorwise.
This is added to the list, I'm going to assume the stuff people mix literal liters of is going to be pretty decent. Love the simplicity in the recipe too so thanks for the recommends. I checked out Fear's Honey Sucker and it definitely seems to be a trickier recipe so I'll prolly start off here and check that out if I dig this flavor profile.

Do you mix by weight or volume?
By weight with a scale that's accurate to 0.01g, my recipes come out tasting the same every time they're just not very exciting to me.
Okay, that’s good. Side bar links have great recipes. Most store juice is loaded with EM or Super Sweet. Some even have menthol to give that refreshing cool fruity flavor pop.
Use any of those?
I've got Cap Super Sweet and TPA Marshmellow, I'm sort of careful with the amounts on super sweet and generally try to do a drop per 10ml but maybe I should be less careful with it.
I've also experimented with menthol and koolada but that's not the profile I'm shooting for currently, I'm mostly looking for sickly sweet tastes like candy type stuff. I've checked the sidebar but I honestly struggle in picking out the recipes that'd fit the flavor profile I'm shooting for.
