There is V1 and V2. V1 is best if you don’t mine diacetyl. V2 smells like puke to some people but does not have diacetyl.

Make sure u make a small batch. Unfortunately based on very good reviews I made a 120ml vanilla custard recipe containing Vanilla Custard (Cap) 9%, sugar cookie (Cap) 3%, and Graham Cracker Clear (TPA) 3%. Even though the recipe was given very good reviews I can't taste anything but a faint eggy taste with a lot of chemical taste on the exhale.

For how long you did steep it? Or just s&v ?

Maybe you need to add cotton candt (TFA) or MTS (FA) to take out the chemical off nots

Also, make sure you stick to recipes from within the current era of gear, since you don't want to be mixing things at double or triple where they are normally used now. Not that vanilla custard is ever gonna taste good, because vanilla...

Capella sweet guava.

No single flavor experience with this, but I picked up 15ml of this recently to play around with it, and my god is it tasty and useful. Definitely didn't buy enough.

Capella cola works well enough on it's own.

My very first juice was Cap Sweet Tangerine at 15% and it was really nice. I found it on a very old vaping forum in a dusty old part of the internet dating back to around 2012.

Did your throat eventually forgive you?

It was actually pretty nice. The only problem I had was that the flavour faded quite quickly. The guy who originally posted it was some well respected vapelord from "back in the day" apparently. Maybe we are all walking in his footsteps.

Just noticed.. The flavor wasn't likely fading so much as you got olafactory fatigue.

CAP Cinnamon Danish Swirl can be pretty decent standalone. I used to love that one, I got burnt out on it pretty quick though. But it's a nice solo vape if you dig cinnamon rolls.

Its suuuper good by its self but it has its flaws. Personally notice an odd throat feeling (potentially due to daap?) And the flavor dies out super fast if you leave the cap off the mix.

harvest berry is GREAT alone. I've mixed it from 5-15% and its always good to me. at some point, I stopped mixing anything else, and was buying 16oz of this stuff every few months...

Cap: French Vanilla, Vanilla Bean Ice Cream, Chocolate Glazed Donut, New York Cheesecake, Harvest Berry, Vanilla Custard

Flavor West: Black Cherry, Candy Cane, Caramel Candy, Cotton Candy, Fudge Brownie, Sweet Tangerine, Wild Cherry, Wintergreen, Cinnamon Red Hot, Natural Lemonade, Strawberry Shortcake, Jawbreaker, Blueberry

Buy one shot flavors. Those are premixed flavors

1 points

by isuamadogabout 6 years agoRenaissance Mixer

i agree this is good advice for OP. one shot may be a good go for this one. easy peasy complex flavor. If OP wants to build some variety down the line, then start with single flavors.

Where is a good place to get one shots? I tried to DIY, bought a couple liters of VG and some PG and a crap ton of flavors. Hated everything I mixed and kinda just gave up. I'll probably be posting my flavor list in the next "What can I make with these" thread.

Chefs vapours.

Some recommendations

  1. Divine - fantastic lemonade
  2. DIY or DIE - watermelone
  3. Chefs Vapours - Blue Lush

These are my current ADV. I'll soon be ordering a new batch of divine fantastic lemon and some new flavors to try

Sweet, thanks. I'll go check em out and probably put an order in. Got a falcon king that will be here on Fri, and if I like it I'll probably start vaping more freebase again which can be heavy on the wallet.

Edit: Do you know any US based companies by chance? Or anyone else who comes across this comment?

solo baccos? FLV native, Stixx Mixx Whiskey Cavendish or The Supreme (only if you are using rebuildables)

Thats kind strange for that perfect time of steeping still there is off nots and chemical taste on exhale

Capella is the one brand that doesn't really have a decent standalone flavor. Maybe LemonLime or Sweet Tangerine could be vapable, but not as enjoyable as a FA Fuji, or INW AM4A, or FLV Creme de Menthe, or TFA Irish Cream, or LA Lemonade....

I've tried lemon lime and didnt really like it. I am looking for a good peach flavour and capuccino. Should i try with flavour art then?

2 points

by St1llFrankabout 6 years agoThis flavor... This is not my kind of flavor

> I am looking for a good peach flavour

Jungle Flavors Honey Peach is the best IMO. A lot of others like FA White Peach. I find it to be really dry. FLV wants to be as awesome as JF but falls short. Capella's peach flavors are weird and don't taste like peach.

My favorite cappuccino is lotta latte it can be vaped as a stand alone. It’s good around 7%, I know some who like it between 12% - 15%

Hangsen Juicy Peach is excellent- not floral at all

by juthincabout 6 years agoI improved Grack and all I got was this lousy flair

Peach, by definition, cannot be good.

Coffee flavors are tough, so even those "not-really-coffee-but-people-who-hate-coffee-order-at-$tarbux" drink flavors can be questionable. And the ones that seem to have fans tend to be serial killers of coils.

Could you explain what you mean re. peach can't be good? Is it one of those flavours that can't be made from peach volatiles or whatever and is a combination of other similar tasting components, like strawberry?

Edit- I drink blue eyes white dragon (using 2.7% fa peach white and 2.7% tfa peach juicy) by the gallon and its definitely not a coil killer

LA Lemonade? I just got this and thought it was quite strong on a finger test. Do you recommend sweetener?

1 points

by juthincabout 6 years agoI improved Grack and all I got was this lousy flair

LA Lemonade is best as follows:

5% LA Lemonade
.5% INW Lemon Mix
.2% INW cactus
x% WS-23
x% FA Polar Blast
(where x is a value from .2-1, depending on your tolerance to cooling agents)

However, on its own it is more of a candy lemon, or NeoCitran maybe. If you want a candy feel, you could add sweetener, or better yet use something like FA Blackcurrant or TFA honeysuckle. (That recipe above, I use as a base and add some decent fruit flavor (ie any other than ones that taste like strawberry or peach) and have never found the need to add sweetener. If I wanted to go candy wwith it, maybe I add a bit of stevia.)

Thank you SO MUCH! this is all really really helpful. I’m reading people’s notes on flavours, but the how & why they use things or in what context is like gold to a new mixer like me.

That recipe sounds delicious. Definitely have cactus in my cart for next order!

Can I ask why strawberry & peach don’t work? The blackberry sounds perfect. And I believe it’s WS23 that I’m liking in commercial juice, so I’ve also got that in there.

Can’t wait to play around with this. I can smell it already....
