'What are you vaping?' Thread - Week of August 12, 2019
submitted about 6 years ago by c5b4c91772c729fc7d0a

This thread is for you to share what you are vaping lately, be it your own or another mixers recipe. Maybe you happened to stumble upon your new ADV in the August Recipes Thread? Or did someone recommend your first mix to you in the Suggest a recipe for my flavors Thread

Share what you liked or didn't like too much, but most importantly, please make sure to properly link to the recipe and to the mixer if they're on reddit.

If you need some inspiration, some websites keep track of your mixes and batches: e-Liquid Recipes and All The Flavors.

Also make sure to checkout last week's thread for inspiration or to follow up on a mix that turned out even better after a week of steeping! We keep an archive of all the past threads in our wiki as well

Happy Vaping!

I've been enjoying /u/eyemakepizza 's Sunshine State and /u/foment_life 's Dripwich++.

Sunshine State is citrus all the way, but balanced such that neither the sweet nor the sour drowns the other out. The only downside is that all that flavor starts fading after a few days, but even then it's a tasty recipe.

Dripwich++ on the other hand is as smooth as it gets - just well-layered waffle, strawberries, and cream. It took a few days for the waffle to quiet down enough for me to start enjoying it, but I'm glad I waited.

I ran out of Yoda Soda by /u/staybert this week. That's something, since I mix so much juice that actually finishing a bottle of anything is rare, but I wasn't going to waste or share a drop of it. I've since been digging a ton of O.C.D. by NaChef in its place.

Tried a few simple 1-2-3 puddings using 3% FLV Vanilla Pudding and 1% FLV Cream + 2% other stuff, and all were ok, but none of them seemed to be worth sharing. Going to take a break from that and then try a few more later.

Also, absolutely loving something I made using /u/eyemakepizza 's The Trinity Vanilla Ice Cream, but not yet sure whether it's perfect or has room for improvement. It's just The Trinity plus 0.3% FLV Red Cinnamon, 1% FLV Bourbon, and 1% FLV Caramel. Fireball Ice Cream.

I'm so glad you like it! That fireball ice cream sounds really yummy.

RY4 Double (TPA) - 3%

Raspberry (CAP) - 2%

Turkish (TPA) - 1%

At 18mg salt nic, 50/50 in a mini MTL rta, this is pretty delicious to my uncultured country palate.

Currently, a cherry soda I'm developing. Dunno if I want to add some lime or not. It's kinda xandyish but.... It's a fuckin' cherry soda that doesn't taste like crack smells, or like Bacardi's white rum, or like cardboard. It tastes like cherry. Feeling pretty inwincible...

Would it be cool with you if I asked for the recipe? Sounds like something I'd be into

This week I tried viserion and butter pecan pie by u/ID10-T. A peanut butter cheesecake, strawberry cheesecake and Melonade that I'm working on.

Butter pecan pie: is awesome, if you haven't mixed you need to.

Viserion: good for a hot day, it's what I vape when I'm out of the house.

The others are work in progress. Steeping is holy trinity ice cream, and some other stuff.

For anyone interested, links.

Butter Pecan Pie

^ although you don't really need to check the link for that one. It only has one review and it's just 3% WF Butter Pecan Pie, 2% INW Custard, and 1% FA Apple Pie .... plus a long steep.

Viserion helped me survive the end of last summer. Cold and creamy don't always work together but I think they work together really well here.

Only new recipe I've tried so far this week is Mango Blossom Macaron by /u/ID10-T, only had time to try it briefly but initial impressions were very good, even though I'm not a big fan of FA Meringue. I'm going to have to come back on that one and give you all a full review. I'm happy I mixed 60ML though!

Been working really hard on my Dadar Gulung recipe, it's a Balinese coconut pancake that I absolutely love to eat. It's already the recipe I've made most different versions of, hopefully I'll be able to share it in a week or two.

Other than that, I did a few attempts at a profile I never thought I'd tackle - a strawberries & cream. It's been pretty successful so it's something I'm making more versions of. There will probably be a twist to it, but we'll see how it goes. A Melon Soda should also be coming out pretty soon!

Pacha Mama’s Apple Tobacco which I wish I could clone. If anyone is good with apples and tobaccos and has tried this let me know.

I think /u/chemicalburnvictim made something along those lines...

What’s it taste like to you?

by SpaghettiBollocknaseabout 6 years ago

It’s predominately a sweet apple with tobacco on the exhale and something else I can’t put my finger on that’s giving it body.

Anything you’ve tried? In my limited experience with commercial eliquid, I’d suggest giving TFA RY4 Double or some of the SC/FE Tobaccos a try for the tobacco part.

Absolutely fell in love with WF Passionfruit for the last few days. Wanna try my best to see if it could work out on a Cheesecake base.

In the meantime I've been mixing it @ 4% alongside FA Passionfruit @.5% and INW Cactus @.25% to tame FA's.

((I add a little Koolada @.75% since weather is hot as hell here in Dominican Republic.))

I tried to make a glycerite with banana and coconut, which ended up burning sugars and tasted like kellogg's cornflakes. So, yeah, not that..
