Are these flavorings safe for baking + candy making?
submitted about 6 years ago by LuckyRhubarb

I have a few bottles of various flavorings from TFA, Capella, etc and I don't DIY anymore so I was wondering if its ok to use them in baking or for making chocolate and candy? Thank you

Yeah! They're actually made for that. PG is totally fine to eat and is in most baking flavorings. Have fun!! I've been thinking about using them in my own baking creations...

I'm allergic to strawberries. I use 2 tablespoons of TFA Strawberry Ripe as a substitute in cheesecake recipes.

Why would you do such a thing to a poor defenseless cheesecake? Cherries, yes. Chocolate, yes. Caramel, yes. Irish Cream and/or Ameretto, oh HELL yes. Strawberry, fuck no.

I respect your opinion u/juthinc, but strawberry cheesecake is the best cheesecake. Vape or otherwise.

That is so cool. Also, 2 tablespoons is huge! Your cakes sound yummy even though there's no actual strawberries

Yes, they are safe for consumption.

I have made flavored ice cubes with these flavors. Just be careful. it is very easy to use too much.

Try to find out how much. Any google search gives pages and pages of vape stuff.

Yes, and generally use in the same amount you would use vanilla extract. So, not much at all.
