Hi everyone!
I've been working on an E-Juice Calculator for a little while, and it's time to get some eyes on it. The project is still in active development, so if you have any feedback or feature requests please let me know and I'll add them to the to-do list.
Check out the calculator here: https://diyjuice.net/
If you're interested in the source code, you can find it here: https://github.com/brokenloop/Eliquid_mixer

1: Another one of these posts? Seriously when will this spam stop.
Thank you, anonymous reporter. That's the second one this year. It's getting out of hand! Where do we draw the line?! Next thing you know there'll be a 3rd before 2020. Chaos, I tell you. Chaos.
Oh dear God, the humanity!
With all the calculator aps stealing info what is the problem?
Are you gonna tell me the problem or is that a rhetorical question? Because if you have information that no one else is aware of... that would make a pretty cool post.
Sliders and widgets are annoying on mobile, so these slider inputs should also have a text field that I can tap and enter values into directly. I’m using an iPad, and when I attempt to drag a slider, the browser frequently can’t tell if I’m trying to swipe on the page or scrub the slider.
I love the simplicity. I'll be using this in the future for sure. Great job. I used to use Steam Engine for quick mixes. But for some reason I can't use decimal points anymore for percentages. I've been wanting to find a replacement for it so thanks a lot.
Natch, was really hoping this was an offline desktop or mobile app. We sometimes lose power here, but never the addiction to nic. Gotta be able to mix even if we lose internet. That said, the interface looks simple, clean, and no-nonsense - I like that in my tools. But I don't see any advantages to using it over atf/elr.
The beauty of open source is that you can run it offline if you like! Check out the GitHub repo in the OP. I'll update it with instructions on how to run everything locally, so when you're powerless you can at least mix up some juice :)
Nice work. Does what it should, but im a lazy cunt... So i prefer when i can set base values as a default and type 2 letters then pick the name. Thats just me tho.
Thanks! I'm working on adding "recipe profiles", so users can set defaults (volume, PG/VG ratio, nic content etc) and then make recipes using these.
Some other fun stuff as well - all recipes are currently versioned on every update, so eventually users should be able to look back through the evolution of a recipe. Adding a flavour db with autocomplete is also in the works :)
A few of us have been working on an open source REST API and open source recipe site, in Node.js and React. I can share a link to our GitHub org or, if you don't want us hijacking your post, PM me if you want to collab.
Hello I might use but are you able to have to option to see more decimals as I mix per 10ml batches with a gold weight so I am up to 3 decimals
Shouldn't the weight of the PG be a higher number than the volume?
Yes. 1ml PG = 1.04 grams. Aromas can be between 0.85 and 1.65 grams pr. ml as far as i've seen. I dont mix by weight myself though after trying two scales with two desimals, but the increases are like 0.03-0.07 instead of 0.01g. It's like 1-2 drops make too little difference for the scales to notice. I know 3 desimals scale should solve that, but I guess it's over $100 for one that is not a knock-off. (I live in one of the wealthiest countrys in europe, Norway).
