Grack Soda
submitted about 6 years ago by Saint_Chase

Normally I just lurk here, but I felt this was just good enough to share. Grack Soda is a sort of blending of two popular recipes. Grack Juice by Philosaphucker and CitRaspberry Soda by u/staybert. Normally I just lurk here, but I felt this was just good enough to share.

The concept behind this was to create a grape sprite. I doubt I would enjoy the real thing, but in a vape it is good.

First let me list off what I originally had to work with. On the Grack side I had INW Cactus, TFA Dragonfruit, INW Grape, WS23, FA Meringue, INW Raspberry, and CAP Sweet Strawberry. On the Soda side I had INW Cactus, TFA Dragonfruit, FLV Citrus Soda, CAP Lemon lime, INW Raspberry, FLV Boysenberry, and WS23.

Off the bat I knew a 1 to 1 mixing didn't taste right. So I fidgeted around with removing flavors. I started off with removing the meringue as I find it to have an off taste. Then I removed the strawberry since I can't taste it anyway. From there I mixed it up again and it had a more crisp taste, but still left a bit to be desired. The Cap Lemon Lime added more to the soda base than I felt was necessary in this combination. So I removed it. This left me INW Cactus, INW Grape, TFA Dragonfruit, FLV Citrus Soda, FLV Boysenberry, and WS23.

From here I fidgeted around with the percentages. To account for the loss of the cap lemon lime, I upped the Citrus Soda to 2%. This let more of the bubbly taste to pop through. Then I decreased the grape from 4% to 2% to make it it less overbearing. INW Cactus was upped from 2.25% to 2.5% to bring out its juicy qualities a tiny bit (Plus the flavor is killer). The rest was untouched.

The Result was this:

Co.|Flavor|% :-- | :--: | --: INW | Cactus | 2.5% INW | Grape | 2% FLV | Citrus Soda | 2% FLV | Boysenberry | 0.5% TFA | Dragonfruit | 1% N\A | WS23 | 0.75%

Optionally you can add 0.5% TFA Smooth. I find it blends together the fruits really well. I've never had it make a recipe worse.

I have been seeing a lot of this FLV Citrus Soda floating around. I guess I should pick some up. Always good to see another Cactus fan :)

I would recommend Nicotine River Citrus Soda as well. I think it's the closest to real Sprite.

Ah man I didn't realize you had a reddit account or I would have tagged ya.

Anyway yeah this citrus soda stuff is good. Both FLV and Nicotine River's version.

I like the idea. I've noticed if I drip something citrusy onto my cotton after vaping grack there's this lovely synergy between the flavor profiles. I tried melding the recipes together, but it just never came out right. I'll definitely be giving this a shot. Thanks!

I think I may try adding TFA key lime. It's got that very sharp note to it. Or lemon Sicily. In the bartending world Grape and Lemon is a very big combination.

VT Sour Lemon is another option. Best of both worlds, a sour that has staying power, maybe 2nd to FLV Sour Apple and citris too.

Or a little Fizzy Sherbert wouldn't hurt either but I wouldn't push it high because it'll overtake grapes, espeically INW's version for some reason.

If you have INW's Purple Blush you could sub that for the boysenberry. It's basically an awesome Grape forward Forest Fruit and combos well with Inw's version and FE/SC Grape too.

Or, how about FA Aurora if you have it? Add a little lime zest to it, might try 0.25%

I'll have to try some next time I order. Right now I don't have the money to spend $50 at nicotine river to avoid their price gouging shipping prices though.

It's a pretty good shake and vape. I like what you did there with Boysenberry and Grape. The boysenberry offers the darker notes that INW grape doesn't.

Yeah... This recipe almost is closer to GIGI than Grack, but meh...

I'll have to see how it steps to pass final judgment, but yeah it's kind of like GIGI in a way
